3 There Are... Too Many Pretty Female Soldiers Here
"...Alright, then. Once again, I welcome both second lieutenants to our battalion. Let's arrange another time to talk more in depth."
With those words from Lieutenant Colonel Park Yumi, the roughly 15-minute meeting between the battalion commander and the new second lieutenants came to an end.
Feeling a sense of regret at having to leave the company of her gentle charisma and the unique sensuality of a "MILF," I exited the battalion commander's office.
The emotions I felt upon leaving were completely different from the tense nerves I had when first entering the office.
Just as I was looking forward to the possibility of meeting Lieutenant Colonel Park Yumi again someday, the personnel officer, who carefully closed the door, led us back to the personnel and intelligence offices, saying there were a few more registration procedures.
After filling out some paperwork regarding the apartment I moved into yesterday and completing the security clearance process at the intelligence office, I headed to the third floor, where my assigned battery, the 3rd Battery, was located.
As I walked, I noticed the female soldiers I passed in the stairwells and hallways looking at me with surprise and curiosity, until I finally reached the administrative office.
Knock knock.
"Hello... I'm Second Lieutenant Kim Jaejun, newly transferred in."
"Oh my! You're the new Fire Direction Officer, right? Nice to meet you! I'm Master Sergeant Go Suyeon, the 3rd Battery's administrative supply officer."
As I knocked on the already open door and greeted them, a slightly chubby but cute face peeked out from above the monitor.
She welcomed me with a smile that made even the onlooker feel good.
Soon, she stood up and approached me, and once again, as after the battalion commander's office, I had to fight to keep my gaze in check.
That's because Master Sergeant Go Suyeon perfectly embodied the current trend of the "voluptuous" body type.
Her breasts, a bit smaller than the battalion commander's but easily surpassing an H-cup, her seemingly slender waist, and her extremely well-developed hips that flared out like the curves of a vase.
Even though her figure was hidden under her uniform, her body was the kind that would constantly draw a man's eyes.
After briefly using my now frequently-practiced side-glance technique to take in her voluptuous figure as she approached, I reached out my hand and greeted her formally.
"Nice to meet you, Master Sergeant. I look forward to working with you."
"The pleasure's mine, Fire Direction Officer. With a man joining us, the office already feels brighter!"
As she shook my hand, I noticed how soft her hand felt, not at all like a soldier's. But just as I wanted to keep holding it, she gently pulled her hand away.
Trying not to show my disappointment, I gave her a slight smile as she pointed to the room next door.
"You should greet the battery commander first, right? She's in the next room."
"Ah, yes. I'll see you again soon."
"Yes. See you later, Fire Direction Officer."
As Master Sergeant Go said, greeting my direct superior, the battery commander, took priority, so I left her and headed next door.
I paused in front of the door, took a deep breath, and knocked.
"Whew..."
Knock knock.
"This is Second Lieutenant Kim Jaejun, the new Fire Direction Officer. May I come in?"
"Yes, come in."
Click, creak-
Hearing the lively voice of the battery commander, I entered to find an office about half the size of the battalion commander's, with a woman sitting at a desk in the corner.
This was Captain Lee Seona, the 3rd Battery Commander, my direct superior for at least the next year.
The moment she, still seated, invited me to sit at the table with her, I couldn't help but think again what I'd thought earlier in the battalion commander's office:
"Did they really pick the unit members based on looks?"
After moving to the table and introducing ourselves, and exchanging a few quick questions and answers about the "Mixed-Gender Unit Pilot Operation," the beautiful, slightly sharp-featured battery commander suddenly asked about exercise.
"I'll teach you all about being a Fire Direction Officer in time... Jaejun, do you like working out?"
"By working out, you mean...?"
"Weight training, I mean."
"Ah! Yes! I'm not great at it, but I do like it."
"Really?"
As soon as I showed my interest in working out, her face brightened and the atmosphere became warmer.
"Then, after the kids finish physical training, follow me. For now, read this mission manual."
"Yes, ma'am."
After leaving the battery commander's office, I returned to the admin office and sat at the Fire Direction Officer's desk next to the supply officer, reading the "Fire Direction Officer Mission Manual" that included the handover notes.
In between, through Master Sergeant Go Suyeon, whom I kept stealing glances at, I learned that my predecessor was using up accumulated leave and I wouldn't meet her until her discharge day.
So I spent the morning reading the manual and chatting with the supply officer, until lunchtime approached.
"Fire Direction Officer, let's go eat. The other officers will probably come straight to the dining hall from outside."
"Um... what about the battery commander?"
"She eats with the battalion commander."
"Ah, I see..."
"Come on, let's go! If we're late, the kids will eat everything. Hahaha."
Following the supply officer, who looked after me like a big sister, we headed to the dining hall behind the battalion barracks.
I saw officers and soldiers who had come straight from work outside already eating.
But as I entered the dining hall, I again felt awkward and, driven by male instinct, my eyes darted around-
Because, with the weather getting hotter at the end of June, most of the female soldiers had taken off their uniform jackets and were eating in just digital or black T-shirts.
Most of them were showing off above-average looks and figures without a care, and as the supply officer led me to the serving line, I couldn't help but stare blankly at a woman across the counter.
She had an innocent, idol-like face, a healthy, slender figure (not skinny), and, in contrast to her slimness, full, voluptuous breasts.
Next, Master Sergeant Go Suyeon, who was ahead of me in the serving line, spoke to her.
"Hey, Hyunju. This is the new Fire Direction Officer. Give him lots of meat."
"Yes! Fire Direction Officer, I'm Corporal Lee Hyunju, FDC Squad Leader. Nice to meet you!"
"Uh... yeah. Let's work well together."
As she introduced herself and piled my tray with meat, I finally snapped out of my daze and greeted her properly, ending our first meeting.
Then, following the supply officer to where the battery officers were gathered, I briefly greeted the NCOs I met for the first time, and my first meal at the unit began.
Throughout the meal, I was the only man in the dining hall, so I felt like all eyes-soldiers and officers-were on me, and I finished eating faster than usual.
Back in the admin office, I made small talk with Master Sergeant Go Suyeon until there were 15 minutes left before the afternoon schedule.
The battery commander appeared at the office door.
I hadn't gotten a good look at her earlier since we'd been sitting and talking in her office...
But now, I was struck by her hips-the biggest I'd ever seen on a woman, looking like they might burst her uniform pants.
Her hips looked like they could outmatch those of influencers famous on social media for their curves...
"Jaejun, let's go introduce you to the battery officers now. Master Sergeant, please come too."
At the battery commander's words, I got up and headed with her and the supply officer to the battery officers' room next door.
After the battery commander entered first, the supply officer and I followed, and the NCOs, who had been lounging in their chairs, turned their attention to us.
"Sorry to interrupt your break, but since we have a new member, let's do introductions. This is Second Lieutenant Kim Jaejun, our new Fire Direction Officer."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Kim Jaejun, the new Fire Direction Officer for the 3rd Battery. I look forward to working with you!"
Clap clap clap clap
As soon as I finished my greeting, the NCOs applauded, and the battery commander spoke again.
"Then, let's have a welcome dinner for our new Fire Direction Officer this Friday evening... Oh! Master Sergeant, the weeds have grown too much on the road in front of the main gate, so we'll need to do some mowing this afternoon..."
With that, she mentioned both my welcome dinner and the "work" we needed to do that afternoon.
It was a moment when I started to get a real sense of what military life would be like.
