Chapter 6 - 5

#5Chapter 5: The Clone vs. the Bandit Boss

With the avatar's rampant slaughter.

The thirty-odd bandit soldiers and a dozen patrolling bandits loitering around the periphery of the bandit village were quickly and ruthlessly slaughtered by the avatar. The experience gained from killing the monsters was entirely taken by Link, instantly raising Link's level to 3!

However, the main event of the Bandit Village dungeon had only just begun.

"Who is it? Who dares to trespass into my village!"

Accompanied by an angry roar.

The first BOSS of the Bandit Village, burly and stout, over two meters tall, wielding a broken woodcutter's knife, charged out aggressively.

"Avatar, get him!"

Feeling the BOSS's imposing aura.

Link didn't hesitate to shrink back, and then shouted at the indifferent avatar.

Receiving the order, the avatar didn't hesitate in the slightest, taking a step forward.

Right hand clenched into a fist, without saying a word, he leaped up and punched the bandit Third-in-Charge's forehead.

A loud 'Bang~!' sound.

'Critical Hit - 155!'

Accompanied by the huge damage value floating from the bandit Third-in-Charge's forehead.

Under Link's stunned gaze, the thick health bar above the bandit Third-in-Charge's head instantly dropped by half.

Then, before the bandit Third-in-Charge could trigger a combat-loss skill.

The avatar, who had just landed from mid-air, turned around and delivered an aerial double kick.

'- 62'

'- 68'

[Ding! You have killed the BOSS Bandit Village Third-in-Charge.]

[Cross-level kill, gaining an additional 50% experience bonus.]

[Ding, you have gained 450 experience points, your level has been raised to level 4.]

[Ding, you have obtained the Bandit Leader's Badge.]

[Ding, you have obtained...]

[Bandit Leader's Badge (Three)]: Level 1, Bronze grade, Strength +2, Constitution +1, Special effect: When health drops below 30%, Strength increases by 10%. Hint: Collect the Bandit Leader's Badge (Three) (Two) (One) to synthesize the Silver grade accessory: Bandit Chieftain's Insignia.

"Damn, two moves to kill a BOSS, is this the legendary level crushing?" Link trembled with excitement.

However, the avatar didn't intend to stop at all. In the simulation, the avatar had farmed the Bandit Village dungeon more than twenty times, and was extremely familiar with every path in the Bandit Village.

Without Link's instructions, the avatar, having just killed the Third-in-Charge, charged straight ahead.

Before long, Link heard a burst of fierce fighting.

When Link caught up, he saw the avatar had already hammered the Bandit Second-in-Charge, who was wielding a heavy sword, to the ground.

'Bang, bang, bang, bang~!'

'- 199'

'- 201'

'- 204'

'Critical Hit - 412!'

After four consecutive punches, the health bar above the village Second-in-Charge's head disappeared rapidly at an alarming rate.

In the end, without even being able to unleash his ultimate move, he spat out a mouthful of blood in frustration and collapsed to the ground with a thud.

[Ding! You have killed the BOSS Bandit Village Second-in-Charge, this kill is considered a cross-level kill, gaining an additional 50% experience bonus.]

[Ding, you have gained 750 experience points, your level has been raised to level 5.]

[Ding, you have obtained the Second-in-Charge's Heavy Sword.]

[Second-in-Charge's Heavy Sword: Level 5, Bronze grade equipment, Equipment requirements: Strength 25, Attributes: Strength +10, Agility -2, comes with 20 points of armor penetration damage that ignores the target's defense.]

"Tsk tsk, listen to that, is there any sense of justice? Killing a level 5 BOSS at level 10 is still considered a cross-level kill."

Seeing this scene, Link lamented his own shamelessness.

At the same time, he very honestly allocated all the attribute points gained from leveling up to the two major attributes of Magic Power and Constitution.

Feeling the vast life force and magic power rising within his body.

Link, with the ultimate goal of being an absolutely safe group pet, contentedly led the avatar to the final battleground of the Bandit Village—the Village Assembly Hall!

As Link stood still.

The cutscene of the final BOSS of the Bandit Village immediately began...

A huge figure wearing leather armor and wielding a giant mace slowly stood up from the village throne.

From the darkness, he opened a pair of red glowing eyes and glared fiercely at Link, the 'invader'.

Heavy breathing, along with a muffled thunder-like roar, echoed throughout the Assembly Hall: "Who are you? Why are you trespassing into my village?!"

"Where are Second and Third? Why didn't they stop you? Or could it be..."

[Bandit Village Chieftain · BOSS

Level: 6

Health: 10000 / 10000]

"Such a thick health bar?" Link's face turned green when he saw the Bandit Chieftain's health bar.

It could only be said that he deserved to be the final BOSS, even if his level was only a mere 6, his attributes were unbelievably high.

No wonder the avatar spent an entire semester in the simulation and still couldn't defeat him. The so-called final BOSS was not comparable to small BOSSes like the Second-in-Charge and Third-in-Charge.

Realizing that the Chieftain, as the final BOSS, was fundamentally different in strength from the other two leaders, Link took advantage of the Chieftain's rambling opening remarks and hurriedly traded the newly obtained heavy sword to the avatar.

With a 'buzz~' of white light.

The avatar, who should have been a naked warrior, instantly manifested a black, enormous broadsword, nearly 20 centimeters wide and 160 centimeters long, in his hand.

Then, without waiting for the Chieftain to take the initiative to attack, he swung the giant sword around and slashed fiercely at the Chieftain's abdomen.

'- 122!'

Accompanied by the appearance of a blood-red number.

The Bandit Chieftain, whose health bar instantly disappeared by a tiny sliver, immediately let out an angry roar, no longer caring about reciting those trivial lines, and raised his mace to smash at the avatar.

Faced with the BOSS Chieftain's powerful attack.

The avatar, whose level was as high as level ten, also showed no weakness! The heavy sword in his hand was wielded with great force, and he actually engaged the Chieftain's attack in a fierce battle.

'- 48'

'- 102'

'- 52'

'- 107!'

Values of life reduction constantly emerged above the heads of the fighting avatar and the Chieftain.

As the main body, Link wanted to step forward to help, but after looking at his pitifully low attack power.

In the end, he honestly retreated dozens of meters and found a haystack to hide in.

"Go, my avatar."

"Although it's embarrassing for me, as the main body, to say this, but such a powerful monster can only be relied on you after all..."
