The Feathered Patient
Fluorescent lights hum. Medical staff scrambled in panic as a giant chicken,feathers pristine,eyes sharp,sits slumped on a hospital bed.
Two doctors approached in awe in the tense atmosphere. Their names are doctor Emeka and Ebi owo.
"You seeing this,Ebi owo?" Dr. Emeka asked in a whisper.
In a normal and half joking voice Ebi owo replied. "You think she's the result of some rogue experiment?"
"Or evolution itself,"Emeka cuts in.
Then he gently inserts the syringe into Clara's side as the liquid enters, the chicken's eye slowly opens. She blinks,once,twice.
"She's awake." Dr. Ebi owo said, looking at her with a curiousity and awe.
Clara tilts her head. Her gaze meets theirs. Then.... In a low,calm voice,she muttered.
"No more cages."
The doctors freeze in silence. The monitor Flatlines for a beat.... Then kicks back in,stronger than before
Dr. Emeka in a stunned whisper muttered.
"The world isn't ready for this."
