On the Other Side...
The thief who escapes from Qasim and Abdul Rehman begins to wonder, What should I do now? While running, part of his mask comes off, and Abdul Rehman catches a glimpse of his face. The thief starts thinking that he shouldn't go to his own home; instead, he'll hide at someone else's place secretly. He remembers an old lady who lives with three kids - he figures he can threaten them and hide there for some time. He decides to go there at night.
—
As night falls, he sneaks into Umm-e-Farwah's house. Abid wakes up to get some water and sees a masked man standing with his back turned. Sensing danger, Abid shouts, Thief! Thief! At that moment, the man turns around - it's Haroon, the same person who planned the attack on Nayab. Haroon quickly grabs Abid and tries to silence him, saying, ;Shut up, filthy gutter worm! Abid tries to scream but Haroon has a firm grip on him.
Abid bites Haroon's hand, and Haroon lets go in pain, screaming, Ouch! Wait, I'll show you, filthy creature! You think you can escape? Haroon pulls out a knife and chases after Abid, who runs to wake up Umm-e-Farwah and Hammad. Just as he's about to reach them, Haroon grabs him with the same hand holding the knife. During the struggle, the knife slits Abid's throat. He falls to the ground.
Haroon is terrified. He drops the knife and stands shocked, eyes wide, staring at Abid's lifeless body. He whispers in horror, What have I done? What have I done? What will happen to me now? No, no, how could this happen? He rushes over to check if Abid is still alive - but Abid is dead.
I don't want to die, Haroon mutters. If the king finds out, he'll have me beheaded. No, no, I won't die this easily. Haroon picks up the knife and Abid's body, digs a hole behind the house, buries him, and runs away.
Morning...
Hammad screams, waking Umm-e-Farwah. She runs to him and asks, What happened? Why did you call me? Is everything okay? Hammad points to a bloodstain and says, Look at this blood! And Abid is missing! He's nowhere to be found!" Hammad begins to cry. I don't understand anything, Api. Where is Abid? Whose blood is this?
Umm-e-Farwah replies, Abid has a habit of going for walks early in the morning. Maybe he went outside. Let's go look for him. Hammad pleads, Please hurry, Api. I hope he's okay. I have a bad feeling. She reassures him, Nothing will happen. Don't worry, we'll find him.
They search all day but find no sign of Abid. Both start crying. Umm-e-Farwah remembers what Abdul Rehman told her: No matter what
happens, come to me. So she says to Hammad, You go and rest, you must be tired. We haven't eaten anything since morning.
Hammad replies emotionally, He does everything for me. If I were missing instead of him, he would search for me without rest. I can endure hunger and thirst for him.Umm-e-Farwah smiles slightly and says, Let's go.
At Abdul Rehman's Place...
Seeing tears in Umm-e-Farwah's eyes, Abdul Rehman becomes worried. What happened, my child? he asks. She explains everything
about
the blood, and that Abid is missing. She cries, Baba, we are so scared! Abdul Rehman
comforts her, Don't be afraid, my child. Everything will be alright. Come inside, you both look exhausted. Have you eaten anything?
