Chapter 15 - Power & Hierarchy

The Cosmic Order: Understanding the Powers Beyond

1. Primordial Concepts (The Firstborn / The Titans of Meaning)

These are not "gods" in the traditional sense. They are ideas made will, forces before function, concepts that shaped themselves from the raw Chaos. They did not emerge from anything; they are the origin of ideas like Order, Chaos, Time, Change, and Silence.

Examples:

Asaryel – Concept of Divine Order

N'yrrhath – Dream, Mutation, Unbound Creation

Eroth – Delineation, Finality, Law

Yunea – Wild Becoming, Beauty through Ruin

Thaal – Silence, Non-Intervention, Observation

Myrrhk – Echo, Distortion, Contagion of Idea

Power level: Near-absolute within their domain. But bound by their identity. They cannot violate what they are.

---

2. Shatterborn (Aberrant Spawn / Echo-Born)

These are born not from Chaos itself, but from failures, unintended consequences, and distorted reflections of the Primordials. They are not divine — they are accidents that survived. Think: corrupted data made flesh.

They represent flaws in the Weave: hunger without reason, time that eats itself, joy that lies.

Often driven by instinct, not purpose.

Can feed on reality or twist it locally.

Power level: Ranges from reality-warping to realm-consuming, but unstable and unpredictable.

---

3. Lesser Concepts / Emergent Divinities

These arise after the Anchorworld and other stable planes begin to form. They are shaped by interpretation — belief, trauma, need. They are "gods" in a more traditional sense: worship gives them shape. But they are fragile, and can evolve or collapse based on mortal thought.

Examples:

A god of fire born from fear of the sun.

A deity of war emerging from countless conflicts.

Some evolve into major forces or even rival Primordials over time.

Power level: Variable — can rival a Primordial in localized domains, but highly dependent on context and belief.

---

4. The Weave (The Lattice of Conceptual Reality)

Not a god, but a living system — the canvas on which everything is drawn. It holds threads of logic, law, probability, time, and perception. All things must touch the Weave to exist — unless they are from beyond it.

When the Weave frays, chaos leaks.

When the Weave tightens, possibility dies.

Power level: All-encompassing, but passive — until it begins to break.

---

5. Chaos Itself (The Before-Force)

Not a being. Not a god. It is unstructured infinite potential — the womb of all possibility, including contradiction, madness, and truth. Primordials were born from it but are no longer part of it. Chaos is beyond understanding, and cannot be shaped — only responded to.

---

Optional Visualization (Hierarchy):

CHAOS (pure potential)

└── PRIMORDIALS (living concepts)

├── SHATTERBORN (failures, echoes)

└── LESSER GODS (belief-shaped)

└── MORTALS (who create meaning)
