Star Dou Forest, Core Region — Lake of Life.
At this moment, the serene scenery of birdsong and flowers was gone. Instead, the sky loomed overhead in a terrifying blanket of thunder and lightning, dark as pitch. And beneath it, the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King — Di Tian — seethed with fury.
In his rage, Di Tian had reverted to his black dragon form, his massive body coiled in the sky, covering nearly the entire airspace above the Lake of Life. A piercing dragon roar rang out, his golden eyes shining with ancient and supreme majesty. The five slowly stood in silence. After enduring the overwhelming pressure of an eighty-thousand-year savage beast in full wrath, even someone as proud as Bear King dared not defy him.
But in calmer times like this, without the strict hierarchy of the human world, there wasn't much distinction between the six.
"Di Tian, can you confirm the Auspicious Beast's current safety?"
One of the savage beasts — a stunning woman with long, emerald green hair that resembled the Goddess of Life — asked with concern.
Di Tian nodded.
"I can. For now, at least, her life force remains strong. In fact, it has increased — perhaps she gained further cultivation after awakening."
"Could it be that the little one slipped away again while no one was looking, just to see the outside world?"
Scarlet King scratched his head. As the personal bodyguard of the Auspicious Beast, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, he was familiar with her temperament.
Of course, since she had been in hibernation, he hadn't been on duty lately. Otherwise, Di Tian might have skinned him.

The remaining five savage beasts took their positions at the other points of the star and channeled their soul power into the formation.
Soon, the star array glowed with dazzling green light—until suddenly, Bi Ji groaned and collapsed, the array shattering in a flash. She knelt weakly, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth — her essence blood.
Di Tian rushed forward and caught her before she could fall further. Frowning deeply, he looked down at her pained expression as she tried to open her dazed eyes.
Although the method Bi Ji had used could theoretically reveal anything she sought — a divination technique that bordered the divine — it also came with immense backlash depending on what she tried to perceive.
Even with her strength, she shouldn't have suffered such severe backlash just trying to divine the Auspicious Beast's location.
"Auspicious Beast... reverted to human form. Location unknown. Cannot be seen..."

The others fell silent.
The Auspicious Beast's current state was now shrouded in mystery. That she had reverted to human form and her whereabouts were unknown was already a nightmare scenario. But what chilled them most were the final four words — "cannot be seen."
What in this world could possibly hide from the perception of beasts as powerful as them?
Di Tian's heart sank. A terrifying possibility began to form.
"...The situation is dire. But at least the Auspicious Beast is still safe. She still has a chance to return to her original form. Bear King, Scarlet King, Zi Ji, Ten Thousand Demon King — the four of you are to immediately spread out across the continent. Find her at all costs!"
His voice carried supreme authority. The four beasts bowed their heads.
"Yes, my lord."
