Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Two-on-One? No, No It’s Four-on-Two

"Hey… They've shattered the island itself. Is this what it means to be monsters who reign over the seas?!"

"Lord Ozz isn't going to lose, right? Right?!"

"I'm starting to wonder if monsters like them can even die."

On the outskirts of Whole Cake Island, anyone with a bit of strength had already fled from the center.

Thanks to the chaotic brawl between the three powerhouses, the sheer shockwaves of their battle had driven everyone to the island's periphery. Most chose to fight or observe from the fringes far enough to avoid being vaporized.

Which, coincidentally, made running away a lot easier.

"Hey!! Kaido, you bastard, you're not dead yet, are you?!"

A towering woman with wild, unkempt hair stood up from a smoking crater, fire crackling beneath her feet. She looked battered, but her glare remained fierce.

She glanced toward the larger crater in the distance and called out with a growl.

Not that she needed to ask.

With her Observation Haki, she could sense the beast's stubborn vitality still burning strong from within the pit.

"If you died, there's no way in hell I'm dead, you old hag!!!"

"Wororororo… That punch from Ozz really hurt, damn it, it reminded me of another old bastard!"

From within the giant crater, a massive hand the size of a fan reached up, grabbing the edge. Slowly, Kaido pulled himself out, rubbing his head.

As a man who'd one day tank a full-scale siege from dozens of top-tier enemies and earn a mythic HP bar for it, Kaido's durability was undeniably top-tier.

Even if Whitebeard himself at his prime were here, it would still take an immense effort to push Kaido to the brink of death.

Watching the two monsters still bursting with life, Ozz had appeared before them again no one quite knew when.

So. Much. Meat.

That was the only thought running through Ozz's mind.

These two were beasts.

And truth be told, if anyone in this world could solo two emperor-class foes at once, Ozz didn't know if even Im or Joy Boy could do it.

As for himself even with his recent breakthrough in Conqueror's Haki he wasn't there yet.

At least, not without going all-in.

Especially without his gun.

Without it, he couldn't use his ultimate technique:

Secret Art: Teleportation · Conqueror's Flow · Ryuo · Seastone · Future Sight · Kite-and-Strike Style.

"Guess there's only one way left…"

Ozz let out a slow breath and turned his head toward a small boat bobbing out at sea. A solitary figure stood there, rowing casually by moonlight, Dracule Mihawk.

"Hey!!! Hawk-eyes! Sand-man!!!

I'm just about at my limit here. If this doesn't do the trick then I'll leave the rest to you!!!"

"You idiot, are you seriously about to pull some reckless stunt again?!"

At the shout, Ozz simply tilted his head with a carefree smile.

"I just want to see… where my limits in close combat really are."

Aboard the Queen Mama Chanter, Katakuri still bleeding was being bandaged up by his sister. Yet even as the pain lingered, he stood firmly at the ship's prow, watching the battlefield with tense concentration.

His eyes flashed crimson.

"This… this is…"

As if witnessing something beyond belief, cold sweat began pouring from his forehead. His usual calm expression shattered instantly.

"Mama! Watch out !"

Before he could finish, a massive slash of emerald-green sword energy cleaved through the sea, hurtling straight toward them.

Shiiing,

A terrified expression disturbingly human appeared on the giant Homie's face carved into the ship's prow.

Then the front of the ship was sliced clean off!

"Dracule Mihawk…" Katakuri muttered grimly, eyes fixed on the lone figure on the boat in the distance.

But Mihawk merely cast him a glance before turning his full attention back to Ozz, who'd just "handed off his last will."

"To interfere with a man pushing his limits would be an insult."

Allowing any interference to break the focus of a warrior testing himself on the edge that would be a disgrace to Mihawk's code.

"After all this, he still wants to keep fighting? Is he insane?"

Crocodile didn't get it but he respected it. Wordlessly, he lit a cigar, wiped the blood from his face, and cast a cold gaze toward the battlefield.

"Only a man like that… is worthy of our allegiance.

And maybe… worthy of the title 'strongest in the world.'"

Mihawk admired that spirit in Ozz. If the guy had been nothing but a glutton and slacker, chasing strength only half-heartedly…

He'd have left the ship long ago.

"The world's strongest man, huh…"

Hearing this, Crocodile cast Mihawk a sidelong glance, but didn't argue.

Yeah…

A man like that was bound to stand at the summit one day.

Talent. Will. Wisdom.

He lacked none of them. There was no reason he couldn't surpass that old man Whitebeard someday.

Staring at the lone figure standing defiantly on the battlefield,

She wondered just how far could this man go?

Within her line of sight,

Ozz took a slow, deliberate step forward, heading straight toward Kaido and Big Mom.

His pace wasn't fast. You could see each step clearly.

"Wororororo… Giving up already, Ozz?!"

Kaido raised his kanabo with a grin, and Big Mom beside him licked her lips, still brimming with battlelust.

"Mamamama… Once I catch you, I'm gonna squeeze you dry!!!"

"And don't call us cowards for ganging up on you, Ozz~ It's only fair when we're dealing with someone as tricky as you."

Two titanic figures, weapons in hand, stared down Ozz. Their bodies surged with Conqueror's Haki, wild and sovereign.

But then…

Something felt… off.

"What is that…"

"Am I seeing things…?"

From the side, Ozz's body stuttered almost like a skipping film reel. Behind him, an afterimage began to form.

Ordinarily, only extreme speed could create visual afterimages like that.

But this one… was behaving strangely.

The blurry image behind him slowly solidified.

Then another Ozz appeared.

"What the hell two Ozzes?!"

And that wasn't all.

By the end, four Ozzes stood there.

Identical. Crimson eyes glowing.

Each one locked onto Kaido and Big Mom.

"Two-on-one? Nah, I wouldn't call that cowardly…"

"This this is two-on-one.

After all, when facing two sea emperors like you… you can't expect me to play fair, can you?"

Seeing four Ozzes suddenly appear in front of them, Kaido and Big Mom both found their brains lagging.

Not until those four launched Divine Departure and Galaxy Impact in perfect sync and began tearing into them.

Did their minds finally catch up.

What kind of monster move was this?!

Even after several heavy blows and a two-pronged assault…

Kaido and Big Mom were no amateurs. Masters of Haki that they were, it didn't take long for their Observation to pick up the trick.

"He's executing continuous high-speed teleportation in four fixed patterns…"

"Combining it with Future Sight to perfectly control the battlefield creating a visual and physical illusion of clones?"

"What a disgusting Devil Fruit ability… Ozz."
