In that moment, the battlefield stood still.
Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zen'in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda could only stare in stunned silence. What they had just witnessed defied logic—Suguru Geto, one of the Four Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers, had been effortlessly captured.
"Wait… is that Tent?" Yuta asked, blinking in disbelief.
"No. That isn't Tent at all," Maki said, shaking her head, her voice low with confusion.
"Bonito flakes... (No)," Toge added, confirming her suspicions.
"That guy's techniques are completely different," Panda muttered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "That healing wasn't a Reversed Cursed Technique, and the barrier that sealed Geto wasn't Tent either. It's like… his entire power system doesn't rely on Cursed Energy."
Maki narrowed her eyes, still on high alert. "Whoever he is, as long as he's not a Curse Spirit or siding with them, we can at least be grateful he's helping."
But before she could take a step forward, the mysterious figure—Akiyama Ren—appeared beside the imprisoned Geto. With a simple motion, he activated his strange ability:Gluttonous King Beelzebub.
(I used Gluttonous King Beelzebub because Void God Azathoth seems like overkill.)
A black hole formed in his palm, swirling with cosmic emptiness. It consumed Geto and the Infinite Prison in one instant, erasing them from existence.
Maki's eyes widened. Her feet froze. Her brain refused to process what she'd just seen.
Ren glanced down at her and smiled faintly, waving casually before disappearing into the sky like a wisp of wind.
Her cheeks flushed bright red.
By the time Maki could even react, Akiyama Ren was already gone.
--------------
Suguru Geto—instigator of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, the man who nearly killed him—had been a threat Ren could never allow to live. And even if Geto's body had long since been hijacked by the brain-possessing Cursed Spirit, it didn't matter.
This wasn't about the plot. This was about payback.
An eye for an eye. That was Ren's law.
Returning to his apartment in Chiba , Ren sat down and focused on the mysterious System bonded to his soul. It was called the Treasure Chest System, and while its interface was deceptively simple, its potential was nearly limitless.
Each day he signed in, he received a treasure chest. The lowest tier was Wooden, with abysmal odds for high-value loot. But ten wooden chests could be synthesized into one Black Iron chest, and so on. The ranks ascended: Wooden, Black Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Starry, Supreme, and Divine—ten levels of increasing power.
Akiyama Ren muttered, "System, sign in."
[Ding! Sign-in successful. You have received: Wooden Treasure Chest!]
"Open it."
[Ding! Congratulations! You've obtained: 1 billion Japanese Yen!]
Ren sighed, clearly unimpressed. "Not bad for daily pocket change."
He turned his attention to the two items he had received from the Novice Gift Pack:
Star Gate – A tool capable of detecting and connecting to any fictional or dimensional plane Ren was familiar with. Once coordinates were locked in, he could open portals to those worlds.
Storage Space – Infinite capacity. Time stood still inside. Items never rotted, spoiled, or aged. Only living beings were excluded.
Ren's eyes gleamed. "This is huge… Star Gate alone rivals the cheats of most transmigrators."
Now wielding both the System and the means to travel between worlds, Ren felt the rush of destiny at his fingertips.
"System, activate Star Gate's exploration protocol."
[Ding! Exploration initiated. Scanning host's memory for dimensional coordinates…] [Coordinates for three cosmic planes have been successfully located!]
"That fast?" Ren blinked. Normally, finding a single plane should've taken years. But the System had located three in less than a minute.
"Must be some kind of beginner's privilege." He smirked.
"System, what worlds are these?"
[Ding! Based on host's memories, the planes are as follows:
Type-Moon World
God-Slayer World (Campione!)
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation World]
Ren's heart raced. "All of them are high-tier anime worlds with distinct power systems…"
His fingers trembled with excitement. Blood pumped like a war drum in his ears.
Each world was a treasure trove. Mystic Eyes, Divine Authority, Dragon God magic… the possibilities were endless. And with his innate technique—Alpha-Omega Codex—he had the power to analyze and inherit any existing ability.
And with the Rimuru Template activated for another 23 hours, now was the perfect time to go hunting.
"System, can I travel to these worlds now?" Ren asked, eyes already gleaming with anticipation.
[Ding! Affirmative. All three worlds are accessible.]
"Then let's begin."
Without hesitation, Ren triggered the Star Gate.
Despite the name, it wasn't a traditional door. No hinges. No frame. Just a swirling blue vortex suspended in midair—like a piece of the cosmos had been torn open.
It pulsed with spatial resonance and divine rhythm, drawing in ambient energy from both sides of the veil.
Ren stepped forward without fear and vanished into the vortex.
-------------------
God-Slayer World.
Southern Europe, Sardinia.
The skies cracked with divine fury. Wind howled with the voices of forgotten gods. The War God Veleslana, undefeated and unrelenting, had descended upon the island in search of worthy foes. Today, his quarry was Mekal, the ancient King of the Phoenician pantheon—summoned into the modern world by sheer divine madness.
Their clash had plunged the Mediterranean into an unnatural apocalypse. Typhoons churned the seas. Earthquakes tore apart the crust. Rain lashed the cities like whips from heaven itself.
The Seven Sisters, the oldest alliance of magic societies in Southern Europe, trembled in fear. Sardinia was their sacred ground, their fortress of knowledge and arcane wealth. If this divine battle continued unchecked, thousands of years of magic, relics, and accumulated legacy would turn to ash.
Worse yet—their guardian, the Godslayer King of Swords, Salvatore Doni, was away. Even if they sent word, by the time he returned, the battle would already be lost.
-----------------------
And then, without warning, a Star Gate opened in a secluded alleyway of Sardinia.
Out stepped Akiyama Ren, calm, poised, and untouched by the chaos around him.
The moment he arrived, the portal closed behind him. Divine energy surged around him like a typhoon—but Ren stood still, eyes closed.
He ascended into the sky with practiced grace, activating Raphael, Lord of Wisdom. In a flash, his senses blanketed the Earth.
"…Sardinia, huh?" he muttered, lips curling into a smirk. "What convenient timing."
By sheer fate or the Star Gate's unseen design, he had arrived at the exact moment of the first clash between Mekal and Veleslana—the divine battle that happened before the protagonist Kusanagi Godou even stepped foot on the island.
This was the legendary confrontation that nearly annihilated both gods. A perfect moment for Ren to make his move.
Wasting no time, he shot across the sky, arriving at the heart of the battlefield.
There stood Mekal, colossal and godlike—his violet skin glinting beneath the sun, a lion's mane cascading over bulging muscle and archaic bronze armor. A walking myth.
Across from him floated Veleslana, only 1.5 meters tall, with an androgynously divine appearance and a white robe that shimmered with sanctified light.
As the two gods sensed Ren's intrusion, their divine auras surged, attempting to obliterate the "mortal" who dared step into their war.
But that pressure—so overwhelming to mortals and sorcerers alike—was laughably fragile to someone in Rimuru's form.
Their power was divine.
But Ren? He was something else entirely.
