Chapter 10 - CHAPTER:-10 The Book of New Beginnings

Now ahead...

The examiner walks up to Sachin and says, "You don't have any powers. Would you like to learn the power granted by the Military School?" Sachin thinks for a while and replies, "Yes."

As soon as Sachin agrees, the man hands him a book. It had "Aarkeniya" written on it, and below that, "Level 1." From the book of Aarkeniya, one could create anything from soil. Sachin takes the book and joins the rest of the group.

"What is that book about?" Dharmesh asks Vishal, as he wants to know before accepting it.

"It's a magic book. We can learn powers from it and improve ourselves. However, I already have a power, so I can't take that book," Vishal replies.

"I don't have any power either. Should I take the book too?" Dharmesh asks.

"That's your choice. But once you take the book, you'll be under the command of the Military School, and you'll have to work with them as long as you live," Vishal explains.

Hearing this, Dharmesh goes to give his test. As expected, he was just as weak as Sachin and scored only one point.

The examiner approaches Dharmesh and offers him a book—the same one he gave to Sachin.

"I can't take it," says Dharmesh.

Everyone is shocked to hear this because it was the first time someone had refused the power given by the Military School.

But the man couldn't force Dharmesh, so he lets him go and keeps the book with himself.

Dharmesh didn't accept the book because he wasn't planning to stay there long. If he had accepted the book, he would be tied to the place for a long time, which wasn't good for him.

But his refusal to take the book became a hot topic. In a large room, an old man with a white beard sat.

A man walks up to him and hands over a file.

"Sir, this time 45 students have chosen to learn the power of the Military School. But one student refused, even though he had no power," the man says.

"Keep an eye on that boy," the old man instructs, and the man walks away.

Later, when the three friends are back in their room, Dharmesh sees Sachin trying to read his book.

Vishal and Dharmesh go over and watch how he is trying to learn the power.

After watching for a while, they realize Sachin is struggling. The book of powers was divided into 7 levels. Each level offered stronger abilities than the one before. Sachin only had the Level 1 book, which made it harder for him to learn.

"It's not working. I've been trying for so long, but I don't see any result," Sachin says.

"Don't worry. You've just started. And this is only a Level 1 book. It will take some time. As you gain higher-level books, you'll learn faster," Vishal encourages him.

"That's easy for you to say. Your power is at level 35, and you have a Level 5 book. You're the strongest. Why would you even need this power?" Sachin asks.

"You never told me you were that powerful," Dharmesh says to Vishal.

"It's nothing big. I come from the Khanna family, so I got to learn a lot from a young age. My family is quite rich, so I had access to good books and resources since childhood," Vishal explains.

"Where is the rest of your family?" Dharmesh asks.

"Let's just say it's better for everyone that they stay far from me," Vishal replies with a smile.

Dharmesh finds that a bit strange but doesn't say anything.

"Come on, let's help him out," Vishal says. Both of them begin helping Sachin.

Though Dharmesh was looking at the book, he didn't want to read it because he didn't like the power it offered. During the test, he had seen many students with unique and impressive powers. He hoped he could get a power like that, so he had decided not to learn from this book.

But as soon as Dharmesh picks up Sachin's book, he hears a voice from his system:

**"Level 1 'Aarkeniya' power book detected. Do you want to add it to your system? You can only choose one power."**

Dharmesh is shocked and immediately puts the book down, afraid that the system might assign him the power automatically.

"Tell me something—can a person learn more than one power?" Dharmesh asks Vishal.

Vishal looks at him and says, "A person can learn only one power. So he must choose wisely, because once selected, the power cannot be changed."

Dharmesh starts looking at the book again.
