Chapter 14 - Breaking Through the Siege

Qin Ren fixed his gaze on Liu Piaopiao's eyes, sensing her inner hesitation, and swiftly seized the moment. "Piaopiao, will you come with me?" His voice was firm and gentle, filled with an undeniable confidence.

Liu Piaopiao paused for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly. "There are fourteen masters outside…"

Qin Ren's heart raced with excitement—she was wavering. He smiled and said loudly, "Those people? What kind of masters are they? They didn't even notice when I entered! If I really want to take you away, why would I fear them? In the Qin Empire, who dares to stop me?"

Without hesitation, he stood up, reached out, and took Liu Piaopiao's hand, pulling her to her feet. They stood close together, and Qin Ren could feel her nervousness and softness. He whispered, "Don't worry, leave everything to me."

Liu Piaopiao's heart raced, her face flushed with a mix of shyness and determination. She gazed at him intently. "Can you really take me out of here?"

Qin Ren met her gaze and became more serious. "I told you, if you're willing, I'll protect you and take you far away from everything that traps you."

His words carried an unshakable power, and Liu Piaopiao felt a growing sense of resolve in her heart. She closed her eyes briefly, as if making a decision, and nodded softly. "Alright, I'll go with you."

Just then, a sudden change in the wind signaled trouble outside, and a tense atmosphere began to settle in the palanquin. Qin Ren smiled faintly, lowering his voice to Liu Piaopiao. "Don't worry, they won't dare actually make a move. They just want to scare me."

Qin Ren's eyes sharpened. He turned around, pulling open the palanquin's roof, and the cold wind rushed in. His gaze immediately locked on the danger ahead. With a soft laugh, he picked Liu Piaopiao up and effortlessly soared into the sky.

The palanquin swayed gently in the air as the shouts from below grew louder. "Not good, someone's abducting the bride!" The pursuers quickly followed, the atmosphere thickening with tension.

But Qin Ren was unbothered. With Liu Piaopiao in his arms, he broke through the siege, swiftly flying far away. His movements were sharp and decisive, like a flash of lightning, unstoppable.

Liu Piaopiao clutched Qin Ren's sleeve tightly. Though she hadn't fully adjusted to the rapid changes, she knew there was no turning back. She whispered, "Can you really protect me?"

Qin Ren's eyes were as cold as a blade, his gaze never wavering. "Don't worry. No one can hurt you in front of me."
