Synopsis
I am human garbage by nature. I’ve never contributed to society. I like to say’ve tried to improve, but with all due honesty, I didn’t put any effort in. I will never overcome my scumminess; my story from now on will prove this to be nothing other than true. My apologies. (LOL)

Chapter 1 - Dumpster Fire- a fitting beginning for trash

I watched flame tangle with flame. Fire roared from two parties pushing eachother back and forth. The one who chose to rise up against overwhelming power and awoke for their bravery; I witnessed their valiant struggle.

Bloody, shaking, unable to speak, I thought,

"I could do better"

Notions like, "this would be over faster were I the one with power" flooded my mind as I stoid invisible to calamity.

As numb critique continued to pass through my thoughts, a glowing panel appeared before me. The display was a semi-transparent blue with white lettering layered atop it. The words read: [you have awakened]

My hand reached torward the screen. The situation thus far had been absurd enough for my faith to fall to the novels I binge.

Tapping the screen changed the message to [would you like to view your skills?

—YES —NO]

Tapping "YES" changed the contents of the panel once more.

'Interesting '

Three base skills. More than I expected- although, its not like I ever thought I'd be in this situation. But, three is generous.

Not only that, but, their details were… bizarre, so to say.

Certainly usefull to an extent. (Some of them)

The most immediately usefull, for combat(?) at least was [I thought I could do better]:

[Copy a skill at 30% "effectiveness"]

The thing is, is that it was pretty much useless unless I got the chance to observe an absolute power house. The other problem is that the conditions are fairly vague:

-no activation details

-WTF does "effectiveness" imply?

-to what extent do I have to "witness"?

'I guess the best way to find out is trial and error,' I thought before looking back up at the scene before me.

Three elephant sized lion-like creatures spewed flames feimvtheir maws against fire being ejected from the palms of a singular teen.

The scene was taking place at a parking lot. The surrounding buildings had been severely damaged in the fight; the entrances to two resturaunts that I had never seen house customers were colapsed the front's glass was both cracked and melty. A retail store's roof was caved in and smoking while a near by vape shop had been completely crushed.

The concrete of the parking lot was cracked around where the land formed craters. Smoldering rock littered the land as the putrid scent of burning garbage hung thick in the air.

Blasts of flame whirred causing blasts of hot air to slap my face. The kid fighting with fire was screaming his lungs out and behind me a cacophony of groaning, yelling, and crying was coming from the mangled bus.

I had pushed myself out of the once a bus earlier, but I was only able to watch, unmovingly in front of the collasal beasts.

Humongous red lions that roared louder than thunder. They were adorned with strange dark spikes, the color of dried blood, jutting out of them from all ovef but primarily from their manes. The inside of the lions' maws, a similiar color to the spikes dripped globs of pink tinged saliva that sizzled upon contact with the concrete.

The sight, horrific and yet wholy amazing. Still, one can only watch in awe for so long beforw your mind starts to churn again- especially when a scene like the novels you binge and dream if unfolds before you.

Though, only someone as scummy as me would think about incompetence at a time like this.

[You have witnessed FIRE conjuring and manipulation: Flame Blast]

'What an uninspired name'
