Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Scheming the Third Hokage and Tsunade – Uchiha Nobuhiko Shocked

Uchiha Nobuhiko and Uchiha Kokomi both turned to Ren, eyes serious.

Nobuhiko was the first to ask, "What's your reasoning behind this?"

Ren replied calmly, "I want full access to all the medical texts stored at the Konoha Hospital. Ideally, I want to master everything Tsunade knows about medical ninjutsu and chakra control."

"This will greatly support my development of future body-forging techniques."

"The method I taught you this morning was just the first stage. There are many more stages beyond it."

"If cultivated fully, this technique could allow someone to rival a Kage-level shinobi with taijutsu alone—and it demands far less from a user's bloodline or chakra reserves."

"And that's not all…"

He went on to explain the four major advantages he had previously considered in becoming Tsunade's disciple—laying them out methodically for his parents.

Then he added one final point:

"If I do become Tsunade's student and a direct subordinate of the Hokage's circle… wouldn't that also make it easier for me to eventually become Hokage myself?"

"What do you think?"

"Hiss—!"

Both Nobuhiko and Kokomi sucked in a breath, visibly startled by Ren's reasoning.

"You came up with all of this on your own?" Nobuhiko asked in disbelief.

"Who else?" Ren shrugged. "So—are you going to support me or not, Dad?"

Nobuhiko chuckled bitterly.

"Support you? I'd love to. But… how?"

"What you're aiming for is nearly impossible."

He glanced at Kokomi and then turned back to Ren with a sigh.

"If you're this sharp, then you must already have some understanding of the current state of the Uchiha in Konoha?"

"Yep."

Ren nodded confidently.

"We've been pushed out of the village's core political circle. The Third Hokage and Danzo are deliberately suppressing us. Most clans and even the commoners in Konoha are either distrustful or downright hostile toward us."

"Spot on."

Nobuhiko nodded with approval.

His son's analytical skills clearly far outstripped even Fugaku's—and maybe even his own.

"That's exactly why I say this is impossible."

"Neither I nor the clan can do anything to support this. The Third Hokage would never allow it."

He looked visibly frustrated.

He had personally experienced the incredible benefits of Ren's internal martial arts. If the rest of the system really worked the way Ren described, it could be revolutionary for the clan.

But he felt powerless. They had no political leverage.

"You're misunderstanding, Father."

Ren smiled, shaking his head.

"I already have a plan in motion."

"And I don't need you or the clan to do much—just cooperate discreetly in spreading rumors that I have an extraordinary talent for medical ninjutsu."

"Over the next few weeks, I'll be learning more medical techniques from Mother. That part's real."

"You're okay with that, right?"

He knew the difficulty lay in winning over Tsunade and the Third Hokage, not the clan.

But unlike others—he had the Wish System.

And that changed everything.

"Hmm?"

Nobuhiko looked surprised. "That's all? Just… that?"

"You mind walking me through your exact plan? Just being talented at medical ninjutsu probably won't be enough to convince Tsunade."

"And let's be real—the one who decides this is ultimately the Third Hokage, not her."

"I know."

Ren nodded. "And that's why I'll wait until next month—when I enter the Ninja Academy."

"When that time comes, I'll intentionally show deep understanding and belief in the Will of Fire…"

"I'll also reveal some of my talent—enough to draw the Third Hokage's attention."

"If I do that right, he'll want to win me over—an Uchiha genius who's 'on his side.'"

"What better move than to have Tsunade personally take me as her student?"

"It kills two birds with one stone: he gets to influence me and plant someone inside the Uchiha."

"Father—don't you agree?"

Nobuhiko and Kokomi both drew in sharp breaths again. They looked utterly stunned.

"You thought of all this yourself?"

Nobuhiko stared at his son as if seeing him for the first time.

Ren had never left the Uchiha compound for long.

So where had he learned so much about the Third Hokage's inner workings?

He guessed maybe some old clan scrolls, or perhaps loose comments from elders or their own conversations had added up.

But this level of deduction and manipulation was simply terrifying.

If Ren weren't his own son, Nobuhiko might've been tempted to silence him on the spot just to be safe.

He quickly scanned the house's barrier seal—it was still up.

Fugaku was upstairs, still showering.

Nobuhiko exhaled and layered another silence barrier around the room, just in case.

"What's the success rate, in your opinion?"

"Ninety percent," Ren said calmly.

He didn't want to say a full hundred—he knew that would sound arrogant.

"Hiss..."

Nobuhiko couldn't help but be shocked once more.

But finally, he clenched his jaw and nodded firmly.

"Alright. If you're this confident… then I'll back you."

"I'll quietly mobilize clan resources to support you."

"Let's hope it works."

"If it does… the fate of the Uchiha will finally change."

For years, the clan had endured growing suppression.

Nobuhiko had done his best, but there was no way to fight back without provoking disaster.

Now, for the first time in a long time, he saw a path forward.

"Great."

Ren nodded, pleased.

"Just make sure it looks like the village is 'discovering' my talent on their own."

"Let it leak slowly—especially my talent for medical ninjutsu."

"Don't make it seem like the Uchiha are intentionally promoting me."

"Otherwise, it might backfire."

"In fact… once rumors start spreading, it'd be best if the Uchiha publicly acted annoyed or frustrated by it."

"People are always more inclined to trust what they overhear than what you tell them directly."

Nobuhiko looked at his son with growing admiration.

This wasn't a boy anymore. This was a strategist.

A true heir to the clan.
