Chapter 5: Big Brother Fugaku, Two Brothers Who Don't Get Along

"Tch… one percent? That's still too slow."

Uchiha Tianyi opened his eyes, let out a controlled breath, and narrowed his gaze in thought.

"After I go to the clan library tomorrow and gather more knowledge about Chakra refining, I'll use my wishes to enter an enlightenment state and develop the most efficient method tailored to my body."

"Only after tapping into my Chakra potential can I safely move into ninjutsu training."

His goal was precision. Foundation before power.

Just then, his mother's voice echoed through the corridor:

"Tianyi! Dinner's ready—come out quickly!"

"Coming!" he called back, then rose and made his way to the dining hall.

By the time he entered, the table was half-set, and his older brother Fugaku was arranging bowls with a self-satisfied grin.

"Hey, little bro! Heard you extracted your Chakra today. Not bad!"

"Want me to teach you ninjutsu now? Big bro's got you covered!"

Tianyi's eyes twitched. He didn't even try to hide the sarcasm in his response.

"Thanks, but I'd rather ask Father."

"Or Mother."

"Or Sister Mikoto."

"Actually, I think I'll just stick to myself."

Fugaku's grin stiffened.

Despite the Uchiha clan's usual sibling loyalty, Tianyi and Fugaku had always had a rocky dynamic. Maybe it was rivalry, maybe it was fate. But after regaining his past life memories, Tianyi now saw his older brother in an even worse light.

The man who failed to prevent the clan's annihilation. The leader who wavered when it mattered most. Soft when he needed strength. Stubborn when he needed diplomacy. An unfit clan head.

Not this time. Not while I'm here.

"You—!" Fugaku's smile finally cracked, his tone sharpening as he turned toward Tianyi.

Before the sparks could fully fly, Uchiha Nobuhiko stepped in through the doorway, immediately sensing the atmosphere.

"You two again?" He sighed. "Can't you go one meal without arguing?"

His gaze turned to Fugaku.

"You're the elder brother. Be the example. Let your brother grow without dragging him into every petty argument."

Fugaku looked stunned.

"Dad… huh? What are you talking about? When have I not given in to this brat?"

"Besides, you weren't like this before."

In the past, Nobuhiko had always praised him. He'd been the golden child. What had changed?

"Today is different," Nobuhiko replied, his tone calm but firm. "Tianyi has successfully extracted his Chakra. His training has officially begun."

He gave Fugaku a meaningful look.

"And his talent… may already surpass yours."

"W-What?!" Fugaku stared in disbelief. "Him?!"

He blinked at Tianyi, then back at his father.

"How? It's not like we haven't tested him before. He's never shown anything close to my level. Did he awaken the Sharingan?"

In the Uchiha clan, where the Sharingan was everything, early awakening was a direct symbol of talent and potential.

"Sharingan?" Nobuhiko shook his head. "No. Just… enlightenment."

"After extracting his Chakra, his comprehension and mental power surged. That's all."

He left out the more complicated truth—just as he and Xinmei had agreed. No mention of Tianyi's special bloodline mutation. Just a sudden "awakening" of genius.

It was safer that way.

"That's it?" Fugaku's eyes narrowed. "Extracting Chakra can suddenly make you smarter? Increase comprehension? I've never heard of that."

He stared at Tianyi suspiciously.

Tianyi just smiled and shrugged.

"That's the truth. Believe it or not."

As if on cue, their mother, Uchiha Xinmei—now joined by Kokomi—entered from the kitchen carrying side dishes.

"That's right," the two parents confirmed in unison.

Fugaku sank into silence, visibly confused and—perhaps for the first time—troubled.

"Why didn't that happen to me…?" he muttered bitterly.

"Who wouldn't want that?" Nobuhiko replied with a rare chuckle, setting down his chopsticks. Even he was still reeling from Tianyi's earlier display.

"Alright, enough chatter. Let's eat!" Xinmei said cheerfully, guiding everyone to their seats.

As the family began to eat, Nobuhiko turned toward Tianyi with narrowed eyes.

"I heard you finished reading all the scrolls on Chakra refining in the house already?"

Tianyi nodded between bites.

"Yep. Photographic memory. My comprehension's on another level now—it didn't take long."

"Dad, can you issue me a pass to the clan library tomorrow? I want to dig deeper and start developing a Chakra refining method tailored specifically to my body. Something more efficient."

The room went quiet.

Nobuhiko, Xinmei, and Fugaku all paused.

"You want to… create your own refining technique?" Nobuhiko asked cautiously.

"You do realize our clan's method has been refined over generations? It's nearly perfect."

"Messing with Chakra refining is dangerous. One mistake, and you could injure yourself permanently."

Tianyi didn't even blink.

"Don't worry. Why do you think my Chakra volume spiked in just one afternoon?"

"Because I already mastered our clan's technique and began optimizing it."

"Chakra refining isn't one-size-fits-all. Everyone's physiology is different. I'm not reinventing the wheel—I'm improving the vehicle."

Just wait until I show you my Chakra transportation method in the future… Then you'll really be stunned.

Nobuhiko frowned, unsure whether to scold or praise.

With a sigh, he activated his Sharingan and placed a hand on Tianyi's shoulder—sensing his Chakra network directly.

The result made his heart pound.

Tianyi's Chakra had increased more than tenfold since that afternoon. His mental strength was like a still lake with infinite depth. His vitality… blazing.

Even though Xinmei had warned him about this earlier, seeing it firsthand left him speechless.

This… this isn't just talent. This is a prodigy on the level of legends.

His youngest son had truly become a super-genius.
