Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Jutsu?

This was a powerful Fire Release technique from the Naruto world—where the user molds chakra into high-temperature flames, shaping it into a massive dragon that rushes toward the enemy. Its destructive power was immense.

Lin Mo hadn't expected that in the One Piece world, he could actually gain a Naruto-style ninjutsu.

Although he was thrilled, one thing left him speechless: if rejecting Shanks completed the progress bar, why hadn't it triggered the first time he turned him down?

Clearly, that first invitation had just been a casual remark from Shanks...

Lin Mo opened his personal status panel—visible only to him.

Name: Lin Mo

Age: 10

Check-in Location: Shimotsuki Village (0%)

Constitution: All-attribute Chakra Body

Haki: Armament Haki Lv2, Observation Haki Lv2, Conqueror's Haki Lv2

Skill: Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Jutsu (Novice)

System Storage: 10x10x10 cubic meters

The three types of Haki and the system storage space had been part of the newcomer's gift package when Lin Mo first bound with the Traveler System.

The Haki level indicated its current strength. Unlike the natives of this world, Lin Mo could increase his Haki just by completing check-in tasks.

For example, meeting Shanks and buying him a drink boosted the check-in progress by 30% and granted a level-up in each type of Haki.

He turned his attention to the next destination: Shimotsuki Village.

As expected, once one check-in was completed, the next location would be displayed.

Now that his next destination had appeared, it was time to move on.

But before leaving, at the very least, he wanted to treat Shanks and the crew to a good round of drinks.

A smile curled at the corner of Lin Mo's mouth. "Drinks are on me today. Drink all you want."

He hadn't fought wolves, bears, and tigers for nothing—he'd not only strengthened his Haki proficiency but also earned plenty of Berries. A win-win.

Shanks chuckled. "What's got you feeling so generous?"

"I'm leaving soon," Lin Mo replied casually.

Shanks froze slightly, not saying anything right away.

Just then, Lucky Roux approached with a chunk of meat in one hand and a Den Den Mushi in the other. "Boss, call for you."

"Huh? Who is it?" Shanks took the snail phone.

A loud roar came through immediately.

"Oi oi! You bastard Shanks, don't tell me you went to Foosha Village!"

Recognizing Garp's voice, Shanks laughed and walked out of the tavern with the phone. "Haha, what's with the attitude? If you were here, I'd buy you a drink!"

"If I were in Foosha Village, I'd drag you straight to Impel Down! Dammit, Luffy's turning into a punk thanks to you! Stay away from him, you hear me?!"

Shanks laughed at first, but then grew quiet. He glanced back toward Lin Mo, who was sitting silently at the bar with his back turned.

In a calm and serious tone, he said, "Garp, you know… I've seen a future superstar."

"Superstar? Just another cocky brat who thinks a bit of talent makes them special—"

"No. He's different. Give him time, and he might just shake the world."

There was silence on the other end.

Though they stood on opposite sides, Garp knew Shanks well. If Shanks was this impressed with someone, that kid wasn't ordinary.

"…Who is he?"

"Not telling you." Shanks hung up with a laugh.

Back on Garp's end, the enraged Vice Admiral smashed the Den Den Mushi into the ground and stomped it to bits. "Shanks! One day, I swear I'll personally throw you in Impel Down!"

The nearby Marines could only stare, too slow to stop him.

"Vice Admiral Garp… That was the only Den Den Mushi we had for contacting Shanks…"

Garp: "…"

Shanks returned to the tavern and sat beside Lin Mo again.

Lin Mo sipped his drink in silence.

Shanks asked, "Kid, curious who just called me?"

Lin Mo gave him a side glance.

Of course he knew.

Even though he hadn't heard the rest of the call, the voice at the beginning was enough to confirm it was Garp.

"Vice Admiral Garp. The 'Fist.'" Shanks took another drink and continued, "That old man somehow got his hands on a Den Den Mushi that could reach me. But that's not the point. Kid, you need to think this through—your talent will draw attention. If you don't align with anyone, you might end up with enemies on all sides."

"Doesn't matter." Lin Mo shrugged carelessly, then raised his glass. "Shanks, before I leave—one more toast."

Shanks didn't try to talk him out of it again. He clinked his bottle against Lin Mo's glass, downed the rest, wiped his mouth, and asked, "Heading out now?"

Lin Mo nodded.

Shanks stood up with a grin. "Alright, I'll see you off."

Though Shanks was disappointed not to recruit Lin Mo, he accepted it with his usual easygoing nature, hiding any frustration beneath his smile.

At the dock.

Shanks asked, "Where's your ship?"

Lin Mo pointed to a small sailboat moored nearby. "Over there."

He'd bought it a few days ago, ready to leave as soon as the check-in task was complete.

"That tiny thing? You sure it's good enough for ocean travel?"

"Yup." Lin Mo jumped aboard and untied the rope. "I'm off. Next time we meet, it'll probably be in the Grand Line."

"Great. Next time, we'll drink properly again. And kid—if solo sailing ever gets too rough, you're always welcome on my ship."

"Yeah. Till we meet again."

The little sailboat carrying Lin Mo slowly drifted away.

His next stop: Shimotsuki Village—Zoro's hometown. The system's navigation ensured he wouldn't get lost at sea.

But just fifty meters out, the water suddenly churned with violent waves.

From the depths emerged a giant sea king, resembling a monstrous crocodile, its gaping maw full of jagged fangs lunging straight at Lin Mo's tiny vessel.

Gasps erupted from the villagers at the dock.

"The Lord of the Coast?! That's the Lord of the Coast! Kid, run!!"

"Oh no! He's going to be eaten! Someone save him—!"

Unlike the panicking villagers, Shanks and his crew remained calm.

Shanks knew Lin Mo was strong, but he hadn't seen him fight yet. This would be a perfect opportunity. Still, just in case—

"Hey, Benn, Yasopp."

"Relax," Benn Beckman replied. "That kid's fate doesn't end here."

"Ugh, boss, you really love meddling," Yasopp muttered, though he and Benn both raised their guns and aimed at the sea king's head, ready to shoot if needed.

Lin Mo, meanwhile, looked up at the approaching monster, completely unfazed. "Overestimating yourself."

Perfect chance to test the power of the Great Fire Dragon Jutsu.

With a slight smirk, Lin Mo gathered chakra in his body, compressing and focusing it in his throat—then exhaled.

A blazing fire dragon burst forth from his mouth, roaring as it soared toward the sea king.

In a flash, it pierced straight through the monster's thick hide, then dissipated in the air.

A blast of searing heat radiated outward.

The sea king's eyes rolled back white—it didn't even have time to scream before its massive body crashed onto the ocean's surface, sending waves flying.

From appearance to defeat, the whole encounter had lasted just seconds.

Everyone at the dock stared, jaws practically on the ground.

Especially Shanks. Stunned at first, he then felt a surge of awe.

"He was holding back this whole time? That fire dragon—could he be a Logia-type Devil Fruit user?"
