"Yes!" I said with a full smile, then stood beside Drake and held his arm. Wow, he didn't push me away! Improving. "Really? What's your name, young lady?" Drake's father asked. "I'm Alys. Alys Perez, soon to be Palma," I said with a peace sign. Drake's father laughed, "This young one is quite amusing, isn't she, Katrina?" Ate Katrina just smiled. Wow, she's really beautiful. "Shall we go inside, Alys? Have you had a snack?" "Uh, yes. Actually, I just dropped by to tell you that I'm your son's girlfriend!" Drake's father laughed again, "How long have you two been together?" "Uh, about 5 minutes now," I said, raising my hand, "But I promise, Drake's dad, we'll last!" Then I looked at Drake and called him "Drakey Baby." Drake just stared at me and scowled again. Maybe he's gay?
Drake's dad smiled, "I'm counting on that, Alys. By the way, don't call me Drake's dad. It's too long," he chuckled. "Why's his dad so funny, but Drake isn't?"
"What should I call you?" I asked. "Tito Steve. And this is your Tita Katrina, my fiancée," he said, putting his arm around Tita Katrina.
"Hello, Tito Steve and Tita Katrina! Nice meeting you. I'll go now. Bye, Drakey Baby!" I ran away quickly. I was so nervous!
Ava shouted at me, "Seriously, Alys, Drakey Baby? You're so gross!" Aya shouted at me. "What's it to you? It rhymes, and it's cute," I replied. "Whatever. Why are you so happy?" Aya asked. I said, "Because Drake is my boyfriend now!" I accidentally shouted it out loud, and my classmates suddenly stared at me. The girls gave me dirty looks. Bitter much?
Aya teased me, "Good luck with that. You'll probably break up soon." I said, "No way. We're legit! Tito Steve will get mad if Drake breaks up with me." Aya burst out laughing, "Haha, girl, you're so extra! Your face is thick enough to be epic!" I just shrugged it off, "Whatever. At least I accomplished my mission.""Trust me, you'll break up soon." "What if we don't?"
"I'll teach you how to tell time. Deal?"
"Deal!"
So, my smart best friend and I made a bet. Drake arrived in class and went straight to his seat, falling asleep. Doesn't he sleep at home? The whole first period passed with Drake slumped over his desk. Why isn't he getting in trouble with the teachers? Unfair!
When recess time came, Aya and I were in the cafeteria again, eating sundaes and fries. "Alys, hey!" I spilled my fries, "Aya, now look what you did! You made me spill my fries!" "Shut up, Alys! Look, Kei is following him..."
I looked outside the cafeteria and saw that Kei was indeed following Drake. Oh no, what if she's planning something bad? I don't want to see Sheen crying again! "Let's follow them, Aya!" I pulled Aya towards Drake's usual hangout spot under the tree. We were about 10 meters away, hiding behind another tree, trying to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Hey!" "Ayyy!" I turned around, and it was Sheen. "What are you and Aya doing here?" He peeked out from behind the tree and saw Kei and Drake. Oh no! "Uh, should we go to the room?" I suggested.
Aya handed Sheen a handkerchief, "You're a grown man, and you're so emotional." I hit Aya, "Aya, come on..." Sheen said, "It's okay, Alys. Sorry, Aya. I just really love Kei..." Ugh, Sheen's tears are getting to me.
I pulled Sheen away, "Wait here, Aya." We went to Drake's hangout spot, and Kei looked surprised. "What now, Sheen?! Are you stalking me?!" Kei shouted. I interrupted, "Excuse me, Kei. Sheen is here because I'm introducing him to my boyfriend, Drakey Baby. This is Sheen, my best friend." I smiled triumphantly. "What do you think now, Kei?"
Kei laughed, "Pardon? You? Drake's girlfriend? Huh! Dream on, Ms. Whoever-you-are." I looked at Drake, "Hey, I'm your girlfriend, right?"
I interrupted, "Excuse me, Kei. Sheen is here because I'm introducing him to my boyfriend, Drakey Baby. This is Sheen, my best friend." I smiled triumphantly. "What do you think now, Kei?"
Kei laughed, "Pardon? You? Drake's girlfriend? Huh! Dream on, Ms. Whoever-you-are." I looked at Drake, "Hey, I'm your girlfriend, right?" Drake just grunted, "Ah," and looked away.
I took it as a yes and said, "You heard that, Kei?! Ah means yes. So, good bye and good riddance! Oh, Sheen, you can go too. You two can go together, Kei. Maybe you're still bitter about Drakey Baby, but Sheen is here, and he's also bitter about you." I pushed them both.
When I turned to my side, Drake was looking at me. Oh no, what do I do now?!
