Professor Oak stepped over to the counter, fingers curling around the edge of the cloth covering the tray. With a swift motion, he pulled it back to reveal two Poké Balls, resting neatly in their slots. The surface gleamed under the lab lights.
"Gary," he said, turning to his grandson with a knowing smile. "You're up."
Gary was already moving before Oak finished speaking. "Tch. Like there was ever any doubt."
He picked up the first Poké Ball, examining it briefly with a confident smirk. "Squirtle, obviously. Gotta pick the coolest one."
He tossed the ball in the air casually and caught it, then turned to Oak. "Dex and balls, Gramps."
Professor Oak handed him the Pokédex and five Poké Balls, which Gary clipped onto his belt.
"Well," Gary said, turning toward the door with a cocky grin. "Smell ya later, Ashy-boy."
He gave Leaf a casual nod. "Catch you on later, Leaf."
And with that, he pushed open the doors and vanished outside, rock music still faintly playing from his car in the distance.
Leaf stepped up next, calm and focused.
"I'll go with Bulbasaur," she said, picking up the second Poké Ball without hesitation.
Oak handed her her gear. "A wise choice. A dependable partner."
Leaf gave him a warm smile. "Thanks, Professor."
She turned to Ash, her expression softening for just a moment. "Good luck, Ash."
Then she was gone too—leaving the lab quiet, the air now thick with anticipation.
Ash stood there, hands in his pockets, staring at the now-empty tray. There were no Pokémon left, just him and the quiet hum of the equipment around them.
He shifted, unsure of how to bring it up. "So, uh… Professor. I know this is weird but… I was actually hoping—"
Oak raised a hand to gently cut him off, smiling warmly. "Actually, Ash… there's one more Pokémon."
Ash blinked. "There is?"
The professor turned and walked to a small enclosure near the back of the lab. It was connected to a charging station and lined with soft cushions and a few chew toys. A single Poké Ball, modified with yellow thunder markings, sat in a special container.
"This one is a bit special he's attacks are very strong but its character let's just call it unique "Oak said.
"No worries Professor Oak.You know me I can handle it "
Ash said , stepping forward took the ball in his hands stepping forward felt a special connection with it .And Said, " I choose you."
"Okay but aren't you going to open the ball and meet him?"
"No professor Oak it's already getting late i will talk to him later."

Poliwag has been training with his Pokemons for a year so he knows that poliwag has gotten stronger and Pikachu although low level because he hasn't fought many pokemons before but still the boss who fights legendarys in 50- 50 and as expected one thunder shock attack was Enough to make poliwag unconscious . He took out a dive ball and threw it towards the poliwag the Pokemon was enveloped in red light and was sucked inside the pokeball.
