Chapter 8 - cunning

The pain came like electric current passing through your body, shaking your blood, making it filled with electricity like your blood would burst into flame and explode from within you

When this reaction happened, Solomon let out a roar not human like, he was obviously now a creature.

Everything was blank; it was as if he was no longer him, his mind was no longer him, almost as if he was locked in a cell, but he could still sense himself because he was thinking now.

His arm was brought before him, seeing his mutated arm.

Bulging veins, fingers abnormal shades of colour from usual, more longer than usual.

How he looks now, Solomon didn't want to imagine.

But sadly, there was a mirror just before him.

Normal human eye, one like human eye, but his iris glowed an unusual shade than normal—and what had happened to his other eye?

Should it have gotten blind?

Thick dark veins stretched from it, covering it with a beautiful colour of red that was just like the letter 'x'.

"I like this appearance," Solomon grinned,

Looking at himself more in the mirror.

"System, what are my skills?"

The system didn't respond.

"You scare me, host, you are happy looking like that?"

"Isn't it nicer than my human skin?"

"Creep."

"Yeah."

A tongue came, sticking him, literally destroying the iron bars that he was hiding behind.

Now evolved, the system ignored him calling him a creep; obviously, it seems that he would have to discover the skills of this mutation all on his own.

"Soul coins! Give your soul coins!"

The teacher tongue launched at the iron bars. Solomon leapt, his body going several times high, landing on a rooftop.

Looking below him and raising his head to look at the monster coming at him.

A grin appeared on Solomon's face.

That was thrilling—would he have turned into a bloody mess?

Obviously the wrong thought for this moment.

"No more playing around."

The thrilling emotions just came and left like a flame bursting from combustion then quenching, the feeling of being a creature really exhilarating—like breaking free from the human rule, your skin, having to be a monster with no rule that binds it.

Even commit a heinous crime that the authorities can't get you for.

"Host, your thoughts are dangerous!"

The system sounds panicked, probably frightened by Solomon's string of thoughts.

No answer. Solomon didn't respond, but his eyes focused on the creature.

The tongue is stretching out, attacking him with every move,

And he keeps extra length backward.

Speed, fast quick reflex—what he has evolved into got that.

The default tongue got

Speed, but no reflex—something he could use.

When the tongue strikes, he could quickly

Use what he has against it— has his own advantages.

The default user launched at Solomon without giving him enough time to think or calculate. The atmosphere turned serious as the monster launched at Solomon. Solomon leaped, escaping from there—from the rooftop to down below the school building. His skills the system didn't mention, but Solomon figured it out. He now had a skill like a wall Gecko, and his tail—one of the features he noticed in himself after he had evolved -- a tail which he could control easily, manipulating it for any action.

'this is interesting '

Solomon thought, wasting only five seconds on the thought, the default user kept attacking.

He swung its tongue over, rushing towards Solomon. The whole time, Solomon was playing a cat and mouse game with it.

the default user's tongue only knew how to attack him. It had no other move.

"How dare you escape me! You are—I have never met a difficult person like you. Are you also a system user? How could you be able to mutate? Hm!"

As Solomon kept dutching all of his moves, the default user roared, raging with anger.

.

Solomon sneered. His eyebrows furrowed only staring internally at the default user, giving it no response. The default user had stopped to voice its anger, giving Solomon time to calculate.

It was time. He should stop playing around. It was now time for him to attack. Time was up, calculating.

His transformation wasn't so useless. His eyes looked like an X, that was dark with black veins bulging out. It looked useless, like it was blind. But it was the most functioning among his eyes. His normal-looking eye was just totally useless. With this eye, he could gaze deep into the horizon, intensely seeing things beyond normal human reach. Of course, he was no more normal. He had evolved into a creature, and he was making his blood boil—excited. He was as if he was losing his mind, but no—he needed to stay calm. He had not fully yet lost his mind. He was still in control, even as his thoughts were running rampant and making even the system creep.

Now he would be the hunter, and the default user—would be the prey.

Solomon launched at the default user. Leaving The monster, caught unprepared—Solomon had stretched his claws, using them to slice the default user tongue, causing a loud scream erupting from the creature

"Ah—" like a monster, the default user roared. Never had it expected for such a thing to happen. Such an attack—he didn't see it coming.

The whole time, he had sensed that the energy Solomon had wasn't enough, wasn't up to his own reach. He had absorbed like one billion dollars for his evolution. But Solomon, not even up to two million dollars, had successfully launched and attacked him.

Unacceptable!!

The default user was enraged.

"Hmm."

His thoughts had nothing to do with Solomon. His main focus was to succeed and bring this system user down. If not, his life was at risk. The pain of Solomon's attack seemed to have caused something to run through the default user's head.

The default user It became more violent.

Solomon was launching at the default user, using his claws to attack.

The default user tongue was still standing as an obstacle against him. His main target was the default user's head, but he couldn't attack the default user's head because it wasn't a cripple. It also had its arms and feet, which were a dangerous obstruction for him. He had four arms—four arms able to cause harm to him. And he sensed his energy—his energy was fading, reducing at a very fast rate. He couldn't easily reach such a vital point to attack the system user.

Only one minute left. Only one minute left for him to bring down this default user. His energy was fading. If the default user was still standing and his energy was gone, he had nowhere to go. He was completely done for. He couldn't do anything to save himself.

He needed to attack the arms of the default user, but the tongue would also be in his way.

Solomon leaped backward, his body rolling, his body seeming like he would land to the ground. But in the process of leaping, he turned. His feet successful , sending a powerful hit to the creature.

The default user thought that Solomon was in front of him, but it was a surprise to him that Solomon was so fast that he had gotten behind him—without seeing the process that Solomon took before coming behind him.

The only speed that the default user had was his tongue, which he was using to attack Solomon.

A/N: thank you but I'm never gonna try to write a chapter like this again.
