Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Demon Awakening

Ryan's awakening phenomenon continued to spread, the sky above completely bathed in an unsettling red glow. The entire field was enveloped in an oppressive atmosphere.

Dark clouds rolled in the air, with countless demonic figures faintly appearing within the clouds, their growls shaking the hearts of everyone present.

The demonic presence filled the entire space, almost suffocating everyone.

Emily clenched her fists. This phenomenon was much greater than the one she had caused earlier.

Although unwilling to admit it, she couldn't help but acknowledge it just from the intensity of the phenomenon.

Hawkins Grand and Principal Hope stood aside, their faces filled with astonishment and anxiety.

"This… what is this?" Hawkins Grand murmured, a flicker of unease flashing in his eyes. "How could there be such a strong demonic presence?"

"This… this is the power of demons," Principal Hope's voice grew hoarse, "It has sensed this power, and now the entire school's defensive array is activating!"

As the defensive array activated, a transparent barrier surrounded the entire field, light rapidly rising, encircling the school.

The appearance of this barrier meant that Ryan's awakening had been identified by the school's defense system as an extremely dangerous event.

"What... what's happening?" The students were panicked, many of them already starting to retreat, nervously watching Ryan.

They didn't know what was happening, or what would happen next.

Some sharp-eyed students caught sight of what appeared in the dark clouds, and one of them shrieked, falling to the ground in shock.

As the phenomenon intensified, Ryan's awakening result finally became clear.

A system prompt appeared in midair, its loud announcement echoing in everyone's ears:

[Awakened Profession: Demon Summoner]

[Profession Class: Forbidden Tier]

"Forbidden Tier?"

Hawkins Grand's eyes widened, shock written across his face. "This… is a class we've never seen before! Demon Summoner? Forbidden tier…"

He lowered his head, a deep unease swelling in his heart.

"This can't be…" Principal Hope was also stunned. "No human has ever awakened as a Demon Summoner. This profession… has never appeared in history!"

He looked at Ryan standing in the array, a deep sense of confusion and fear welling up inside him.

Everyone was staring at Ryan, and there was something different about the energy surrounding him.

That thick demonic presence made the surrounding air feel as if it was solidifying, suffocating everyone.

As the crowd became more and more anxious, Hawkins Grand finally regained his composure and said calmly, "We can't make an immediate decision on whether he should stay at the academy. We must conduct a test."

He turned to Principal Hope, "This profession's awakening must be further verified. We cannot allow this power to go unchecked."

Principal Hope paused, then nodded. "I agree. We'll conduct the test."

He turned to Ryan, his expression stern. "Ryan. Your profession has been deemed Forbidden Tier. As a member of this academy, you must prove that you can control this power. Otherwise, you will be treated as an uncontrollable threat, and the consequences will be yours to bear."

Ryan stood in the array, his face expressionless, but his eyes were filled with resolve and determination.

He had anticipated that his awakening as a Demon Summoner would bring a lot of trouble.

He knew this was just the beginning, and that he would have to face the challenges ahead.

"You must prove that you can control this power and not let it spiral out of control." Hawkins Grand's gaze was sharp as he continued, "This will be a huge test. You will undergo a special trial arranged by the academy."

"If you can successfully demonstrate control over the demon power, you will be allowed to continue your activities as an awakened individual. If not, you will be treated as a threat and dealt with immediately."

At this moment, the air around the field became even more tense.

All eyes were on Ryan.

And Ryan knew full well that the test ahead would determine whether he could remain at the academy, and even shape his future.

In the silence, Ryan took a deep breath, his eyes flashing with resolve. He silently told himself—he would master this power.
