"Where do you think Megatron could be?"
A rough, monotone voice sliced through the dimly lit science lab. Its tone was controlled yet cold, radiating an unsettling chill to anyone nearby. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed against the cracked stone floor as the silhouette of a large Cybertronian loomed over the computer, its gaze fixed upward, trying to find the location of Megatron to no avail.
Soon, the Cybertronian turned to face a large, blue, middle-aged figure. The other Cybertronian's red visor filled with exhaustion, and his mind seemed clouded with dread, yet there was a lingering willingness to continue the conversation.
"It seems that Lord Megatron hasn't appeared in a few weeks Shockwave. Have you figured out what to do about the Nemesis?"
Shockwave, crossing his arms, contemplated the most logical next step for the Nemesis. Handling the needs of others had grown increasingly difficult, especially with the recent energon insecurity. However, Shockwave knew the importance of watching a certain individual for now...
"Ensure that Starscream is kept in check, Soundwave. His increased absence from base makes me suspect he's been up to something," Shockwave stated bluntly, delivering the order to the weary Soundwave. The lightbulb overhead flickered ominously as the conversation dragged on.
Soundwave took a moment to glance at Shockwave's lab, it was dim and quite hard to see, especially with the fact that Shockwave's lightbulb did not admit that much. There was a couple of containers of chemicals across the self, which gave a smell of rotten eggs and fish. There was also some sharp medical tools stashed away in a big black bucket ready to be cleaned. Soundwave also took notice of the clipboard that was on Shockwave's desk, indicating that Shockwave has been testing his recent experiments.
Soundwave nodded before leaving the scientist's lab, his footsteps calmly stepping on the floor of the corridor, it's once active atmosphere now has been quiet for weeks now. Soundwave looked around taking a long moment to hear the quiet buzz of the computers and silence of the corridor. There wasn't any footsteps nor the loud talking of the Decepticons, it was silent, pure silence.
