Chapter 61 – Tsuna, You Are Bad

After the three of them walked away slowly, a young woman arrived with a little girl who had green hair. The girl gazed longingly at their backs, full of envy.

When Tsuna, Shouko, and Shizuka returned home with the materials they had bought, they found Yaeko and Yuzuru already back. Yuzuru was waiting for them at the door of the Miyamura house.

Tsuna asked curiously, only to receive a cold response from the black-haired little girl:

"Brother Tsuna, you're overthinking. I came here to find Hachiko."

As soon as the door opened, Yuzuru grabbed Hachiko and took him straight back to her house.

Shizuka went off to prepare lunch, leaving the two kids in the living room to watch TV. After a while, Shouko grew a bit restless.

"Tsuna, how about we make the kite this afternoon?" she asked.

Tsuna gently refused.

That afternoon, Shizuka went out to buy vegetables. But when she returned, Daisuke came in behind her—holding two large fish in his hands.

He handed the fish to Shizuka and followed her into the kitchen, then walked into the living room and gave Tsuna's cheek a playful pinch.

"Why are you in such a good mood?" Tsuna asked, curious.

Daisuke grinned and replied, "Haha! You wouldn't get it even if I told you."

Tsuna responded with an exaggerated eye roll and a speechless look.

That evening, both families sat together to watch the graduation ceremony video Yaeko had recorded for Yuzuru. Tsuna and Shouko saw Teacher Ageo in the footage, which brought back memories of kindergarten for Shouko. She turned to Tsuna and whispered,

"Let's go visit Teacher Ageo during summer vacation."

Tsuna looked at her with warm eyes.

"Yeah, sure."

---

"Tsuna, get up. It's time to make the kite~."

Shouko stood beside his bed and called softly, yawning after she spoke.

She had been too excited to sleep the night before, and her mother had woken her up early that morning. Still, thinking about the kite, she could only go wake up Tsuna first.

"Why has Shouko been up there so long and not come down yet?" Shizuka asked as she sat at the breakfast table with Daisuke.

Daisuke flipped through the newspaper and answered casually, "Maybe Tsuna's staying in bed."

Shizuka nodded and continued eating her sandwich silently.

A while later, as they sat in the living room watching TV, Shizuka glanced at the clock and suddenly said,

"Something's wrong. It's been almost an hour."

She immediately paused the TV. Daisuke sighed, he had just reached the climax of the show, but didn't dare to complain.

"I'll go check on them," Shizuka said softly, turning and leaving the room.

The moment she was out of sight, Daisuke reached for the remote. But before he could press play, a voice called out from the hallway:

"Honey, don't press play. Wait for me."

Daisuke: "..."

Shizuka walked into Tsuna's room. She didn't see Shouko at first, but Tsuna's quilt was puffed up more than usual. Suspecting something, she walked to the bedside and gently lifted the blanket.

As she expected—Shouko was snuggled up under the quilt with Tsuna. But instead of waking them, Shizuka took out her phone, opened the camera, and began recording.

Shouko stirred, feeling cold. She reached for the blanket but couldn't find it.

Mumbling sleepily, she said, "Don't hog the quilt, Tsuna. You're bad…"

Then she nudged the warm body next to her.

"Hmm~?"

In his sleep, Tsuna dreamed he was being nudged by a soft, pink piglet. He vaguely heard someone calling his name. As he slowly opened his eyes, he saw Shouko's adorable sleeping face—and his mother holding a phone at the bedside.

Ignoring the girl beside him for a moment, he asked groggily, "Mom… what are you doing?"

"Recording," Shizuka replied, holding back laughter with her hand.

"Recording what?" Tsuna asked, rubbing his eyes with his free hand. His other hand was trapped under something soft.

Shizuka chuckled. "To play it at someone's wedding."

Tsuna rolled his eyes.

That's ten years from now…

Sure, photos were fine, but would she really save the video that long?

He turned to gently shake Shouko. "Wake up, Shouko."

She didn't respond.

Just as he reached to shake her again, Shizuka stopped him.

"Let her sleep a bit more. You go downstairs, wash up, and eat."

Then, realizing the fun was over, she left the room.

Tsuna carefully slipped away from Shouko and pulled the blanket back over her before heading downstairs.

---

"Tsuna, why didn't you wake me up?" Shouko asked, stepping into the living room and seeing him sitting alone.

"You're awake?" Tsuna said softly. "I just wanted to let you sleep a bit longer."

He returned to peeling the orange in his hand.

"Oh~."

Shouko yawned and sat down beside him on the tatami, leaning against him with her eyes closed.

Tsuna glanced at her.

"You're still tired? What did you do last night?"

Then, without waiting for an answer, he said,

"Ah—open your mouth."

Still with her eyes closed, Shouko opened her mouth to be fed.

After swallowing the orange slice, she muttered lazily, "It's your fault."

"Huh?"

"It's because I was too excited thinking about the kite you were going to make by hand. I couldn't fall asleep, so it's all your fault."

Despite what she said, her tone was playful. She had another thought in her heart.

Tsuna smiled, amused.

"Alright, alright—it's all my fault. I'll make you a really beautiful kite today, okay?"

"Hehe." Shouko grinned smugly.

"I'm glad you understand. I forgive you."

She gave him a gentle nudge with her head.

"Did you eat yet? There are sandwiches."

Shouko nodded without opening her eyes.

"Alright, sit tight. I'll call Mom and Yuzuru over. Let's get started."

When she wasn't leaning on him anymore, Tsuna stood up and left the room.

---

A few minutes later, Tsuna returned with Shizuka and Yuzuru. They brought all the materials they had bought yesterday and sat together on the tatami.

Yuzuru's eyes widened in surprise.

"Brother Tsuna, you really know how to make kites?"

She had heard her sister talk about how talented Tsuna was, but seeing the materials laid out made her truly believe it.

"I learned it from TV. But I only know how to make diamond-shaped kites," Tsuna replied modestly.

"Really? I've never seen anyone teach that on TV," Yuzuru said, clearly intrigued.

"Yeah, yeah. I forgot which channel it was. I just remember it was a show hosted by someone named Uncle Neil. At the end of each episode, he always said, 'Next, try it yourself!'"

Tsuna waved his hand dismissively.

After all, there was no Uncle Neil in this world.
