Hark! By my royal decree, let the thrilling saga continue!

**अध्याय 3: डूबे हुए शहर के रहस्य**

The dust settled, revealing a newly formed cavern, the air thick with the scent of ozone and pulverized rock. The bioluminescent fungi cast an eerie green glow on the jagged walls, illuminating the precariousness of their situation.

"The Sunken City," the old woman, whose name Veer now knew to be Elara, said, her voice hushed with awe. "Even in ruins, its power resonates."

Before them lay a narrow passage, partially blocked by debris, but clearly leading deeper into the earth. A faint, ethereal blue light emanated from within.

"That light…" Veer murmured, a sense of wonder overcoming his apprehension.

"It guides us," Elara replied. "Towards the heart of the city, where the next key lies hidden."

They carefully navigated the rubble-strewn passage, the air growing cooler and damper with each step. The blue light intensified, casting long, dancing shadows on the ancient walls. Strange symbols, unlike any Veer had ever seen, adorned the stone, their forms intricate and mesmerizing.

"What are these symbols?" Veer asked, tracing one with his finger.

"The language of the ancients," Elara explained. "They speak of a time when magic flowed freely through this land, when gods walked among men."

The passage opened into a vast, subterranean lake. The ethereal blue light emanated from the water itself, illuminating the submerged ruins of a magnificent city. Colossal stone structures, adorned with intricate carvings, lay half-buried beneath the shimmering surface. The sight was both breathtaking and melancholic, a testament to a lost civilization.

"Dwarka…" Veer breathed, his voice filled with awe.

"A city of wonders, now a silent testament to the passage of time," Elara sighed. "We must find the Crystal Spire. It holds the second key."

A narrow, moss-covered causeway stretched across the lake, leading towards a towering spire that rose from the water's depths, its peak just visible above the surface.

"That is the Crystal Spire," Elara said, pointing. "But the path is treacherous."

As they stepped onto the causeway, the water around them began to stir. Strange, serpentine creatures with glowing blue eyes emerged from the depths, their movements silent and swift.

"Guardians of the city," Elara warned. "They are drawn to the Serpent's Eye."

The creatures lunged, their sharp teeth snapping. Veer drew his sword, ready to defend them. But Elara held up a hand.

"Wait," she said. From the wooden box, she took out a small, intricately carved flute made of bone. She raised it to her lips and began to play a haunting melody.

The effect was immediate and astonishing. The serpentine creatures paused, their glowing eyes fixed on Elara. The aggressive tension in their bodies seemed to dissipate, replaced by a strange stillness. The melody was both beautiful and unsettling, filled with an ancient power that seemed to soothe the savage beasts.

Elara continued to play as they carefully made their way across the causeway, the serpentine creatures watching them with an almost hypnotic gaze.

"The music of the ancients," Elara explained, her voice soft. "It speaks to the very essence of these creatures."

They reached the Crystal Spire, its surface shimmering with an inner light. At its base was a small, submerged chamber.

"The key lies within," Elara said. "But the water is… protected."

As Veer stepped into the water, a powerful force pushed him back. An invisible barrier surrounded the chamber.

"Magic," Elara murmured. "Ancient wards protect this place."

She examined the surface of the water, her brow furrowed in concentration. Then, her eyes lit up.

"The symbols!" she exclaimed, pointing to faint carvings on the spire just above the waterline. "They are a key as well!"

Working together, Veer supporting Elara as she reached for the carvings, they traced the ancient symbols with their fingers. As they completed the sequence, the invisible barrier shimmered and dissolved.

The submerged chamber was now accessible. Veer plunged into the cool water and swam towards the center. There, resting on a pedestal of crystal, was a second artifact: a shard of pure, white light that pulsed with a gentle warmth.

As Veer reached for it, the water around him began to churn violently. A massive, shadowy figure rose from the depths, its eyes burning with an intense blue light. It was a guardian, far larger and more powerful than the others.

The creature roared, its voice echoing through the submerged city. It lunged at Veer, its massive claws outstretched.

Veer knew he couldn't fight this creature in the water. He grabbed the shard of light and kicked off the pedestal, propelling himself back towards the surface.

The massive guardian followed, its movements surprisingly agile in the water. Just as it was about to strike, Elara, who had been chanting softly on the causeway, threw the Serpent's Eye into the water.

The moment the jade serpent touched the blue light of the submerged city, a shockwave of energy erupted. The water glowed intensely, and the massive guardian recoiled, hissing in pain. The Serpent's Eye pulsed with a blinding green light, and the shard of white light in Veer's hand resonated with its energy.

Taking advantage of the creature's momentary disorientation, Veer scrambled out of the water and back onto the causeway.

"Quickly!" Elara urged, pulling him towards another passage that opened at the base of the spire.

They fled into the darkness, the roars of the enraged guardian echoing behind them. They had obtained the second key, but they had also awakened a powerful protector of the Sunken City. Their grand adventure had taken them deeper into the mysteries of the past, and the challenges ahead were proving to be more perilous than they could have imagined.
