Chapter Seventeen: "Fangs in the Dark"
Two days later, the Ash Vow Unit rode under moonlight.
Twelve elite warriors — rogues, swordmasters, archers with aura-tipped arrows. Lyra rode beside Raizel, dressed in silver battle robes, staff glowing faintly.
Their mission: destroy a Black Aura caravan transporting cursed relics.
They ambushed at the Twin Teeth Pass — a narrow, rocky path between two cliffs.
The battle was swift and brutal.
Raizel leapt from his horse, blade glowing orange-silver, striking the first guard with a clean arc. Aura exploded. Steel shattered. Arrows rained from above.
But then — a presence.
A new enemy stepped from the shadows.
A man in jagged armor with glowing red eyes and no aura of his own — yet he moved faster than light, blade whispering death.
Raizel barely blocked.
"Who are you?" he shouted.
The man smiled. "The Fang's left hand. You may call me Shade."
Their blades met — and the ground split beneath them.
