"Make yourself at home, I'll treat you to dinner." Jinrang said, without waiting for her answer he walked right into the kitchen.
Seeing how he wouldn't take no for an answer, she followed him in the kitchen and sat down at the table.
"You don't have to sit here, you can watch the TV you know." Jinrang said to her while going through the fridge.
"I'm just curious about your culinary skills, I wonder if you cook as well as you fight." Akeno said as she watched him closely.
'And I prefer looking at you.' She thought to herself.
"Well then, prepare to be blown away." He looked back at her with a smile.
Akeno smiled as well, as she gazed at his broad back.
Jinrang began cooking and focused all his attention on it, his movements very graceful and delicate, unlike many others who made a mess in the kitchen, he didn't.
'Took longer than I thought.' He thought as he wiped his hands, while taking a glance at the clock
'8:20 PM.' He observed.
"Hey, Aken-" He was just about to call her but stopped abruptly.
She had fallen asleep on the table.
'…How come she's more tired than I am?' He thought to himself before going over to her, just as he was about to wake her up he stopped.
'Even like this, she's gorgeous.' He thought as he gazed at her face.
'I'm tempted to move her to bed but, I can't let her sleep on an empty stomach.' He shook his head before he nudged her as gently as he possibly could.
She groaned before she slowly woke up, she stretched before realization struck.
"O-oh! I'm sorry I don't know what came over me." She spoke with a blush.
Jinrang chuckled at her reactions, he found her really cute like this.
"Food's ready." He spoke as he sat down a plate.
'Chicken fried rice?' Akeno thought, '…It looks good, who'd have thought.'
"Thank you for the food." She thanked him as she begun to eat.
The food wasn't something you'd call out of this world, it was a simple but well-made meal.
She enjoyed it very much, you could tell because she had a smile on the entire time she ate.
"So? What do you think?" Jinrang asked.
"It was good, really good." She answered honestly.
"I'm glad you found it enjoyable, I was planning to cook steak but I realized it's a bit too late for that."
Hearing his words her eyes darted towards the clock, it was quite late indeed.
"I'm sorry for staying so long, I'll be going now." She spoke as she got up quickly, she was already about to prepare a magic circle to teleport but Jinrang grabbed her hand.
"…You can stay the night if you want to." He offered as he looked away, a blush creeping up his cheeks.
'…!' Akeno blushed as well, 'He wants me to stay…' she thought happily.
"…Are you sure? I don't want to inconvenience you even more than I already have." She questioned.
Jinrang sighed as he answered, "I don't find you bothersome, on the contrary… I-I quite enjoy spending time with you…"
Akeno's eyes widened before she smiled.
"…T-Thanks for having me." Akeno bowed.
Jinrang looked at Akeno's smile.
'My heart skips a beat, every time I see that beautiful smile of her's.'
"I'll change the sheets and get you some clothes."
"I'll do the dishes then, it's the least I can do." She said as she rolled up her sleeves.
Jinrang walked in his room and swiftly changed the sheets before looking inside his wardrobe, he quickly found a t-shirt and a pair of shorts for himself, and another two for Akeno.
He changed out of his uniform got out of the room and noticed that Akeno had also finished what she was doing.
"Here you go, the bed is also ready." He spoke to her, as he gave his spare clothes.
"Thank you very much." She thanked him and went in the bathroom to change.
She put on his shirt which was a bit too big, it almost went down to her knees, as for the shorts… well… she couldn't properly wear it.
She got out of the bathroom and saw Jinrang sitting on his sofa.
"Aren't you going to sleep?" She inquired.
"Yeah, I'm sleeping here." He responded.
She looked at both him and the sofa before saying. "L-Let's sleep together."
Jinrang blushed as he looked away, "N-No, I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable, besides I can sleep almost anywhere so it's not a problem."
"…Seeing you sleep like that is what's making me uncomfortable." She answered while grabbing his arm and began pulling him.
"A-Alright." Jinrang said as he got up and allowed himself to be dragged by her to his own room.
They got in the bed and got comfortable, pretty quickly.
They weren't facing each other so neither could see each other's face.
Akeno was pretty relaxed, Jinrang in the other hand was as stiff as a board, but he couldn't stop a smile from growing on his face.
"Good night." Akeno said.
"Y-Yeah, good night." He responded, his voice shaking a bit.
'Ugh, how can a guy like this be cute?!' Akeno shouted in her mind as she covered her face with the blanket.
'…It's confirmed now, I've fallen for him and…' she thought, before turning around as she faced his back.
'…He has as well.' She slowly reached out to touch him, but stopped, 'No, I should be more patient, it's still too early…' Akeno shook her head.
She watched Jinrang for a while, before she fell asleep.
(Ts probably so ass and cliche, also my apologies for the short chapter, I'm a bit busy atm and I wanna get this out of the way. I'll try to upload another chapter later today if I'm not too tired and if i have time.)
