Chapter 14 - Chapter 14. Reborn

As Eira stood before Lyrien, she knew she had to act quickly. She remembered Aria's words about the Crown of Light's power and the ancient ritual that could break its hold on Lyrien. Eira decided to perform the ritual, hoping to save Lyrien from the darkness.

With a deep breath, Eira began the ritual, calling upon the ancient magic that flowed through the land. The air around her seemed to vibrate with energy as she spoke the words of the incantation. Lyrien, still under the Crown's influence, struggled against the magic, but Eira held firm.

As the ritual reached its climax, Eira felt a surge of power course through her veins. She saw Lyrien's eyes begin to clear, his expression softening as the darkness receded. But the cost was too great. The magic, fueled by Eira's own life force, began to drain her energy.

Eira felt her strength waning, her vision blurring. She knew she was giving her life to save Lyrien's. With a final burst of energy, she completed the ritual, and the Crown's hold on Lyrien was broken.

Lyrien stumbled forward, his eyes locking onto Eira's. For a moment, they shared a deep connection, and Eira saw the man she loved, free from the darkness. But it was too late. Eira's life force was gone, and she collapsed to the ground, her vision fading to black.

As Eira's spirit left her body, she felt a strange sensation, as if she was being pulled through time and space. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a completely unfamiliar world.

She was lying on a hospital bed, surrounded by machines beeping and whirring. A woman in a white coat, a doctor, looked down at her with concern.

"Welcome back," the doctor said. "You've been in a coma for several days. We're not sure what caused it, but you're going to be okay."

Eira's mind reeled as she took in her surroundings. She saw people walking by the window, dressed in strange clothing, and cars driving by outside. She realized that she had been reborn in a different time, a modern age she knew nothing about.

As Eira struggled to understand her new reality, she felt a sense of disorientation. She had given her life to save Lyrien, but now she was in a new world, with no memory of how she got there.
