Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Bear and the Strategist

The celestial arena trembled as Loki's voice boomed across the cosmos. The ground beneath the gods' feet vibrating with raw, untamed energy. Loki, the silver-tongued herald of chaos, rose high above the battlefield.

LADIES, GENTLEMEN, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN!" His voice boomed, not just across the arena, but through the very fabric of reality, shaking the bones of the cosmos. "TODAY, WE WITNESS THE FIRST CLASH OF CHAMPIONS—A BATTLE OF LEGEND!"

The massive divine screen flickered, displaying two sigils—a Greek helm wreathed in lightning and a Norse axe dripping with frost. The symbols burned themselves into the sky before exploding in a shower of sparks.

"FOR THE GLORY OF THE NORSE PANTHEON—RIDE FORTH, KING OF THE NORTH! THE KING WHO LAUGHS AT DEATH! — Raaagnar Lothbroook ""

A thunderous roar split the air as the ground beneath the Norse portal cracked open as a monstrous dire bear, its fur matted with the blood of countless battles and battle scars , eyes burning with primal fury, burst forth, its claws gouging deep trenches into the arena floor. Astride its back stood Ragnar Lothbrok, his golden mane wild beneath a helm forged from the skull of a drake, his body clad in layered wolf pelts and blackened iron. His twin axes, "Storm's Bite" and "Winter's Howl" crackled with unnatural frost. Behind him, a pack of spectral wolves materialized, their eyes glowing like embers, saliva dripping from their fangs, their howls shaking the very air. The beasts circled, snarling, before dissolving into mist.

The Norse gods erupted. Thor slammed his fist on the armrest of his throne, ale sloshing from his tankard, sending a shockwave through the stands. "THAT'S MY BOY! THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE AN ENTRANCE!" Freya, seated beside Odin, smirked. "A bear? Showoff."

Indra, stroking his lightning-tipped spear, scoffed. "A bear? My elephants would crush it underfoot."

Loki, still hovering above, grinned. "Oh, just wait."

"AND FOR THE GREEKS—THE MAN WHO OUTWITTTTTED THE GODS THEMSELVES! Ooodysseussss "

The sky above the Greek portal split open. A bolt of black lightning struck the ground, and from the smoke charged a jet-black stallion forged from shadow, its mane flickering like dying embers, its hooves striking sparks against the void as it galloped into the arena. Upon its back sat  Odysseus, the cunning hero of Troy, , his bronze breastplate polished to a mirror shine, his cloak of Nemean lion hide fluttering behind him. A boar-tusk helmet obscured his face, leaving only his sharp, calculating eyes visible.. At his heels, a herd of monstrous war-boars materialized, their tusks gleaming, their snorts like rolling thunder. They stamped their hooves, the ground cracking beneath them, before vanishing in a burst of golden dust.

The Greek section roared. Athena leaned forward, her owl perched on her shoulder, eyes alight with anticipation. "Let us see if his mind is as sharp as his blade." Ares, already drunk on the promise of blood, bellowed, "RIP HIS SPINE OUT, ODYSSEUS!"

Sun Wukong, spinning his staff, yawned. "This is taking too long. Just hit each other already!". Jupiter, swirling his wine, smirked at Zeus. "Still copying my style, I see." Kali, licking her blade, hissed. "I want to see their intestines."
