"Eh, and this mission? Tonight I guess I'll head out and try to fulfill the condition. Well, kill demons or fallen angels." I said with enthusiasm, though deep down I felt a tickle of anxiety. Training alone in my room wasn't the same as facing real supernatural beings, but if I wanted to survive in this world, I had to push aside my fear.

I swung my legs out of bed with determination burning in my chest. I felt the urgency to move forward, not to fall behind. I headed to the bathroom; the cold water washing away any remaining sleep or doubt. While lathering up, I ran through my abilities in my mind—my strengths and weaknesses. Even with a system and some powers, I knew I was still a rookie compared to the monsters of this world.

Despite my physical age, I'd already learned to be independent. My parents trusted my maturity enough to let me go alone to the nearby park, confident I'd look after myself. I didn't abuse that freedom, but I used it to train and test my limits. I sighed, wishing I already possessed immeasurable power, a strength to protect those I care about and change this world's fate.

After breakfast, I went to school. The day passed like any other: boring classes, classmates who barely interested me, teachers repeating the same drivel. But I wasn't there to stand out or make friends. My mind was elsewhere—on the challenges awaiting me beyond those walls.

I wolfed down lunch and, as soon as I could slip away, continued my training. I practiced basic maneuvers with the Inverted Celestial Halberd, even though it was still too large for my child's body. I didn't care: every day it felt lighter, more natural in my hands. I also spent time manipulating cursed energy, reinforcing my muscles and honing my control. My Premonition Eye warned me of grave mistakes, giving me flashes of possible futures whenever I tried a risky technique.

Afternoon faded and night fell over the city. After dinner, I returned to my room and prepared for the mission. I checked my inventory: the halberd, my reinforcement gloves, Naruto sandals (which I still didn't know the use for, but I carried them just in case). Everything was in order, so I slipped out the window quietly—my parents were already fast asleep.

The night air was cool, with a faint scent of damp earth. I moved through the deserted streets, senses sharpened, cursed energy humming beneath my skin. Every shadow felt like it hid danger; every distant sound might signal an attack. But I wasn't afraid. I couldn't afford to be.

I headed to the industrial zone, where rumors said strange creatures had appeared in recent weeks. Upon arrival, I melted into the shadows and watched. It didn't take long before I sensed a dark presence—an air vibration that made my skin crawl. Different from any demon I'd faced before: more powerful, more lethal.

My Premonition Eye trembled, showing me flashes of the future: an ambush, a direct strike, a deadly fall if I didn't step carefully. I gripped the Inverted Celestial Halberd tighter, feeling its balanced weight, its blade humming with otherworldly energy.

I entered the factory's main chamber, where darkness was almost complete. The silence was so thick I could hear my own heart pounding. Then I saw it.

The demon stood by a concrete pillar, gnawing on the arm of what had once been a man. Its skin was ashen, black veins pulsing beneath the surface. Its eyes, glowing coals, locked onto me with a hunger and mockery. Membranous wings unfurled, filling the air with a nauseating flap.

"A kid?" it growled, dropping the bloody arm. "Come to be my snack?"

I didn't answer. Instead, I channeled cursed energy into my legs and leapt to the right, disappearing behind a stack of rusted crates. The demon lunged after me, its claws slicing metal like paper. The crash echoed as dust and debris flew.

My Premonition Eye showed a swipe from the left. I rolled across the concrete just in time, the gust of its claw passing where my head had been a moment before. The hiss of near-death brushed past my ear.

I sprang up, channeling more cursed energy into my muscles. The demon sneered, rows of yellowed fangs bared.

"You know how to fight, brat?" it taunted, dashing at me with inhuman speed.

Its first strike was a vertical slash. I blocked with the halberd, but the force sent me skidding back several meters, feet slipping on the rough floor. The demon didn't pause: it unleashed a flurry of claws, each one seeking to carve me open. My Premonition Eye warned me of every move, but dodging was a monumental task. Every time I slipped by hair's breadth, I felt its demonic energy scorch my skin.

Seizing an opening, I swung the halberd in a horizontal arc. The blade cut through air and bit into the demon's side, spraying thick, black ichor. The monster roared; the sound rattled my bones.

"INSECT!" it bellowed, and from its maw burst a spray of green acid.

I vaulted backward, but some droplets sizzled across my sleeve, burning cloth and flesh beneath. The pain was sharp, but I shoved it aside, channeling more cursed energy to dull the agony and speed my regeneration.

The demon struck again, this time using its wings to build momentum. It circled me, creating a whirlwind of dust and metal shards. I couldn't see clearly, but my Premonition Eye traced its diving path.

I ducked at the last second, feeling the gust of its wings cut overhead. It overshot, then turned in midair for a downward strike—dark energy glittering on its claws. Instead of dodging, I planted the halberd's shaft in the ground like an anchor, bracing myself. The impact compressed my bones with a sickening crunch.

I arced the blade upward in a rising slash, severing one wing. The demon shrieked and plummeted to the ground with a deafening crash.

I lunged at it without hesitation, pumping cursed energy into my legs for extra speed. The demon swung a desperate kick; I caught it on the haft. The blow staggered me, but I stayed standing.

Bleeding and weakened, the demon staggered to its feet, hatred blazing in its eyes.

"YOU WILL DIE!" it hissed, conjuring whip-like tendrils of dark energy.

They struck like snakes; I leapt and rolled, evading by millimeters. One whip nicked my leg, searing flesh. I used the momentum to spin close, thrusting the halberd's blade square into its abdomen.

The blade cut deep; the demon spewed black blood. It clutched my arm and hurled me against a pillar. Air blasted from my lungs; pain flared across my back. But I couldn't stop now.

Gasping, I rose and poured every ounce of cursed energy into my core. My Premonition Eye flashed: if I blocked, my arm would snap; if I dodged right, I could counter.

I rolled right as it struck. Seizing the opening, I slashed upward, cutting its arm from elbow to wrist. The demon roared, stumbling backward.

Without pause, I leapt atop it, cursed energy in my legs propelling me skyward. I drove the halberd's tip into its chest. It tried to block, but the blade punched through its defenses, piercing its heart.

For a moment, time froze. The demon stared at me—hatred and fear mingled in its gaze. Then its body disintegrated, turning to black dust that drifted away.

I stood panting, sweat dripping from my brow, the halberd still trembling in my hands. Silence reclaimed the factory, broken only by my ragged breathing.

A wave of energy surged through me. The system alerted me: mission completed. But at that moment, all I felt was relief… and the certainty that every fight from now on would be harder, but also more mine.

I felt energy coursing through my body. The system notified me I'd leveled up and had new rewards waiting in my inventory. I opened the panel, hands trembling with excitement.

"Let's hope it's something good!" I thought as I pressed the gacha spin button.

The wheel spun through known and unknown items: Sharingan, Saber's Sword, Invisibility Cloak… then it stopped on a strange mask, dark with silver filigree.

Congratulations! You've obtained:

Kazuma's Mask (Activates special powers under a full moon)

The mask appeared in my inventory, and the moment I touched it I felt a strange connection, as if dormant energy were waking within me. I read the description:

Kazuma's Mask:

When worn under the light of a full moon, the bearer gains a significant boost to all stats, can sense spiritual and demonic energy for miles, and their cursed energy control is multiplied. Effect only active on full-moon nights.

I looked up in surprise—the moon was full, shining with supernatural intensity. Without hesitation, I placed the mask on. Instantly, power surged through me. My muscles stiffened, my mind sharpened, cursed energy flowing like a perfect, overflowing river.

I saw the world differently: auras of nearby creatures, trails of demonic and spiritual energy drifting in the air. It was like unlocking a sixth sense. I grinned beneath the mask, feeling for the first time that I truly had an edge in this world.

I allocated my stat points:

The night was still young, and with my new mask, I felt unstoppable. I decided to patrol the city, hunting more enemies, seeking greater challenges. Now, under the full moon's glow, I wasn't just a kid with borrowed powers—I was a rising warrior, a future emperor in a world of monsters and gods.
