Chapter 136 - Chapter 136 — “Lines You Don’t Cross”

Location: Avalon Beach – Midday, Family Brunch on the Sand

It was laughter, sunlight, and coconut drinks.

The girls lounged under oversized umbrellas, wearing sunglasses and loose sundresses, playfully feeding each other strawberries. Music played low from a Bluetooth speaker while the Vale men prepared lunch nearby—shirtless, tanned, and chill.

Caelan was cutting mango.

Zeke and Rico were arguing over seasoning.

Damon sipped coconut water, watching his daughters and nieces with soft eyes.

It was one of those moments.

Perfect. Effortless. Untouchable.

Until it wasn't.

Scene: The Arrival of the Problem

A group of teens from a lesser-known elite family strolled down the beach with matching sneers and exaggerated confidence.

One of the boys wore sunglasses at night.

One of the girls snapped gum like it was a weapon.

Behind them trailed two overconfident fathers, laughing too loudly and throwing glances that lingered too long.

They didn't just walk past.

They stopped.

And stared.

"Well, well. The so-called 'Vale' girls. All that money and still parading around like beach toys."

The words weren't just disrespectful.

They were venom wrapped in jealousy.

Scene: The Girls' Reaction – Tactical Weakness

Azra turned slowly, blinking behind her sunglasses.

"Oh no, Liora," she gasped dramatically. "I think they think we're cheap."

Liora (gasping louder): "How dare they. I might cry."

Selene: "Someone hold me. I feel faint."

Isla (mock-weak): "Do you think Caelan will protect us?"

The girls giggled—innocent, harmless, baiting.

Scene: The Switch Flips

Caelan stopped mid-slice.

Zeke's grin disappeared.

Rico's shoulders straightened.

Damon put down his drink with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

They approached in silence.

Caelan spoke first—voice low, flat.

"Say that again. I want to make sure I break the right jaw."

Damon (calmly): "You insult my daughters again… and I promise you won't leave here walking."

Teen Father #1: "Whoa, whoa—look, no need to threaten—"

Rico: "It's not a threat. It's a forecast."

Zeke: "And your storm's already here."

Scene: The Fight Breaks Out

One of the teenage boys shoved Caelan.

Big mistake.

Caelan didn't hesitate. He dropped the mango, caught the punch coming at him with one hand—and slammed his opponent into the sand.

Zeke launched into another, flipping him with a single motion.

Rico spun the third guy into a beach table like it was choreographed.

One of the dads tried to pull Damon back—

Only to get lifted off his feet and tossed into the shallow tide like a sack of seaweed.

Scene: The Crowd Gathers

Beachgoers rushed in to watch. Phones came out.

But nobody moved.

Because what they saw was beautiful violence.

Perfectly precise.

Silent. Deadly.

The Vale men didn't scream.

They didn't posture.

They handled.

And the girls?

Sipped drinks. Cheered.

Liora (teasingly): "Go off, Cael!"

Azra: "He gets that from Dad."

Isla: "Remind me never to date anyone who looks at me wrong."

Selene: "Remind me to keep Caelan very happy."

Final Scene: Aftermath

The teens and their parents limped away—bruised, wet, humiliated.

Not a single Vale hair out of place.

Damon adjusted his collar.

"Some people don't learn by words. They learn by pain."

Caelan dusted off his hands.

"They crossed a line. Now they know better."

The crowd watched in awe.

Because that day?

Everyone learned something important:

The Vale family doesn't just dress like royalty.

They fight like demons.
