Chapter 32 - [32] Have You Ever Felt the Edge of Miquella’s Blade?

Against an average Uchiha, surrounding and overwhelming them is usually the best strategy.

In a one-on-one fight, few could truly counter the Sharingan—unless they could attack without relying on sight, or, like the Hidden Mist shinobi, cast a Mist Jutsu to nullify visual prowess entirely.

So in most cases, surrounding an Uchiha was the most effective tactic.

Unfortunately for them, as Yuhara had already said—he was no ordinary Uchiha.

He wielded the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Yuhara didn't bother using his Skywalk technique to dodge. Even though he was outnumbered by more than ten elite Root operatives, he didn't feel pressured at all.

Despite their high-level combat skills and teamwork, they were completely exposed under the penetrating insight of the Mangekyō Sharingan. And with the assistance of his "Reversal" ability, Yuhara's speed far surpassed their own.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The hiss of blades slicing through the air echoed all around. Though it looked like Yuhara was surrounded and overwhelmed, he remained completely unscathed.

He moved like a butterfly dancing through a field of swords.

Every motion was graceful, effortless. He avoided each strike by mere inches, rendering all of their attacks ineffective.

But dodging alone wasn't his style. Yuhara was waiting—waiting for the right moment to strike back.

That moment came quickly.

When the Root operatives failed to bring him down after repeated assaults, some of them began to grow anxious.

That was his opening.

"Ahhh!"

Reading all of their movements in real time, Yuhara twisted his body with surgical precision and slipped past their combined attack range.

In one smooth motion, he drew a kunai with his left hand and drove it into the chest of a charging Root operative.

As that one screamed in agony, Yuhara seized the arm of another ninja with his right hand.

Reinforced by "Reversal", his strength had increased—he forced the enemy's arm down and twisted it violently, causing bones to crack with a sickening pop.

Then, using that same arm—still holding a kunai—Yuhara spun and drove it into a third Root operative.

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"

From behind him, another Root ninja seized the opportunity and launched a jutsu, completely ignoring his fallen comrades.

"Pathetic."

Yuhara glanced over his shoulder and leapt into the air, dodging the gust of wind with flawless timing.

The wind smashed into several Root shinobi, sending them flying. Before they could even hit the ground, Yuhara's kunai were already slicing through the air toward them.

The scent of blood thickened over Training Ground Three.

In just a few short minutes, despite being surrounded and attacked by elite Root members, Yuhara had not suffered a single injury. Instead, multiple enemies lay dead at his feet.

The Root squad leader had been attacking as well—but now, watching Yuhara move like a phantom amid the chaos, his thoughts were in turmoil.

As a captain, he had access to more intel than the average agent. He knew how much Danzo had been targeting the Uchiha lately, and as a result, he had studied them carefully.

He knew Yuhara possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan. But this—this power—was unlike anything he'd imagined.

The Mangekyō had been absent from the world for so long that he'd never seen its true might.

But now… he understood.

So this was the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan?

Outnumbered many times over, hemmed into a tight battlefield, yet still completely in control—his insight, his reflexes, his counterattacks—none of this could be matched by the three-tomoe Sharingan.

Just then, Yuhara grabbed another charging Root operative by the throat.

He didn't kill him immediately.

"Mind lending me your blade?"

With a flicker of his eye, the Mangekyō spun—and a different Root ninja, blade raised, unintentionally made eye contact.

He froze.

Yuhara stepped in, plucked the blade from the man's hands, and with a single clean slash, cut him down.

Holding the newly acquired ninja blade, Yuhara didn't immediately attack. Instead, he stood calmly and flicked the blood off the blade.

His gaze swept across the remaining Root operatives.

"I've humored you long enough," he said flatly. "This farce ends now."

Farce. That was how Yuhara defined this entire battle—an insult that made it clear he never considered them a real threat.

The Root captain's expression finally changed. He didn't know what Yuhara planned to do next, but he knew one thing—things were about to go very, very badly.

He was already thinking of retreat.

Yuhara's combat ability and his Mangekyō were beyond anything they'd anticipated. They had to get this intel back to headquarters.

But before he could act, Yuhara suddenly began rising into the air.

Only now did the remaining Root ninjas realize—he could fly!

This changed everything. If he wanted to escape, they had no way to stop him.

Floating in midair, Yuhara bit down on the ninja blade and began weaving hand signs with both hands.

His right eye spun once again.

"Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique!"

A massive surge of chakra surged out of him like a tidal wave.

Three enormous dragons of flame roared to life, rising from the earth and surrounding the remaining Root operatives.

They were gigantic—far beyond what anyone expected from a mere Fire Dragon jutsu. More than that, they completely sealed off any escape routes.

"I told you," came Yuhara's voice from above. "This farce ends now."

The Root operatives instinctively regrouped in a tight formation as they realized they were cornered.

High above them, Yuhara stood tall, his sword raised overhead.

His chakra flared—sharp, cutting, and filled with killing intent. It was Wind Release, but infused into his sword technique so naturally that no one could tell what was coming.

Then he smiled.

"Have you ever felt the edge of Miquella's blade?"

In the next instant, he dove down like a bird of prey.

His blade glimmered with dazzling brilliance, and countless wind blades surged around him like a whirlwind.

"Secret Technique: Waterfowl Dance!"
