Sora walks alone through the echoing silence of the mirrored cathedral, her breath fogging slightly despite the absence of cold.
Something calls to her—not a voice, but a resonance, like her name is being tugged from the inside.
She places her palm on one of the grand mirrors near the far wall.
It ripples.
A seam appears.
And then, it opens.
Inside, no mirrors—only glass cylinders suspended in black void.
Each one glows softly with a single letter inside, rotating, flickering like dying fireflies.
She steps forward.
Words begin forming across the walls in glowing script:
"These are the names no longer spoken."
"Memory-keys. Break one, lose the thread. Break them all—become a ghost."
Sora walks past cylinders marked:
N__O _IN __LARI Z_HR_ And one with a solid red glow: _ORA
That last one pulses violently.
Her own.
She's at the edge.
If she fails this game… she'll forget who she ever was.
As she turns, the system voice echoes from the void, subtly different than before:
"New Rule Introduced."
"You may retrieve ONE name from the chamber… and speak it aloud."
"But if it's the wrong one—
You take their burden."
She realizes: this isn't just about identifying the broken name anymore.
It's about tempting the players into taking on someone else's fractured identity.
To corrupt their sense of self.
To trap them in false reflections.
Sora's hand hovers over the cylinder marked N__O.
Flickering. Weak. Fading fast.
She remembers the hesitation in his voice.
The way he faltered when asked what his old world was like.
Maybe Nico was the erased one all along.
But another cylinder glows in the far corner—barely visible.
_RIN, but it's not cracked.
It's perfect.
Too perfect.
Sora steps back.
"One of these is real. One of them is planted."
Just then, a glass mask drops from above, landing at her feet.
Etched into its surface is a new game prompt:
Side Game Engaged: Mask of the Forgotten
Wear the mask to learn who you used to be.
But you may never be certain if what you see is real.
Sora looks up.
She has to choose:
Risk using the mask. Speak a name from the chamber. Or leave… and let someone else fracture.
Outside the chamber, cracks begin to ripple across the main hall.
One of the players has accused the wrong person.
They're starting to forget.
And Sora has seconds left before the system auto-assigns her a false name.
