Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Lead to Villain

Misha covered her legs with the duvet, ensuring she was lying comfortably and adjusting the pillow properly to avoid her having neck pain.

" Didn't the pack's doctor say she'd wake up soon?", Cynthia asked as soon as Misha stepped away,

" That's what he said, she's out of danger and her wounds have all healed, faster than I thought ",

" Then why is she not awake yet? It's been three days now."

Misha sighed, " I also don't know; c'mon, let's go; I'm starving, "she said, pulling her along with her and gently closing the door behind her.

" Or perhaps is it the deja vu of what happened to Scarlett that's preventing her from waking up?", Cynthia asked more like a realization.

Misha rolled her eyes, " how can an unconscious person have a deja vu about her friend's death",

" Scarlett's spirit might be preventing her from waking up",

" Not that your superstitions again ", she said shaking her head,

" It's not a superstition, think about it, the doctor said she's okay, she's out of danger but she's not waking up ",

"At least she's alive, not after that fall, so we should be thankful...and please, no more assumptions or superstitions ", she shushed Cynthia before she could say any other thing before exiting the house to get something to eat.

A few minutes after the girls left, Elora's eyes flung open, her eyes staring back at the white ceiling above her with a blank expression and thought for some seconds before she furrowed her brow. With her body lying still on the bed, her eyes rolled around to get a glimpse of where she was and her furrowed brow deepened.

" Why is everywhere so bright and not dark?", she asked as she sat up gently. She looked around strangely at the unfamiliar environment, from the drawer to the bed, to the closet, and back to the mirror leaning against the wall not far from the bed.

She stood up quietly looking at the strange room.

" What are these gods up to?", she frowned, " this isn't a dungeon, but not a beautiful room either. Well it's better than that smelly dungeon cause goodness, I can't stand that", her irritation vivid on her face as she gazes around before walking towards the mirror.

" What on heaven!" she screamed at the sight of her, looking around in fright and with the hope of seeing someone behind her but there was no one, it was only her in the room, but it wasn't herself she was looking back at. It was somebody else, a lady in a white mini gown with a slender figure that doesn't belong to her; there was no shiny white hair but light golden blonde hair that looked so unkempt.

" Who the heck is this ugly mortal?" she fumed before dashing towards the window and drawing the curtains angrily, looking up at the sky and yelling, "Like seriously? Are you kidding me?..."

Her throat felt hooked all of a sudden, and before she knew it, she couldn't speak nor move, more like the souls had been switched.

Elora fell conscious herself standing by the window; it felt like she woke up standing; the last thing she remembered was falling off a cliff and everything becoming black, and now, everywhere was so bright with her standing by the window side.

' what's happening?', she asked in her mind before looking around the familiar room.

"I'm back in my room? Were all that a dream?", she asked with her heart racing so fast and her breath trembling. While looking around with the hope everything she saw was a dream, her eyes caught the mirror, and she found her feet moving towards it.

She was staring back at herself, but something felt strange; she leaned closer, taking a proper look.

" My eyes", she touched her cheek, staring back at the silver eyes that stared at her. Her eye color was different; it wasn't the emerald eyes she was born with; it was other eyes.

"At least they left this one for me, those monsters".

Elora yelped, jumping back and looking around in fright upon hearing the sudden angry voice, but upon looking around, she realized it was only her present.

" What the hell is happening to me?", she asked hoping for the false realization of going crazy and desperate that everything she saw was all false but her chest tightened,

" Hey, Vessel",

" Who's that? Who's there?" she asked, looking around for the stranger and also for a weapon to grab.

She heard the stranger sigh loud and clear, like whoever it was was standing beside her.

" Who are you? Who...ah!!", she groaned with a banging headache, wincing in pain as she fell on her knees with memories streaming in. With each memory replaying, her head felt as if it was being hit with a bell, tears gushed out of her eyes, the memories weren't hers alone, the pain wasn't hers alone, there were also Scarlett's memories, Scarlett's pains.

" Please stop," she wept, " please make it stop."

She pleaded from the unbearable pain, by the time the headache was gone, her chest was suffocating and making her breathing difficult. She held her chest tightly and wept.

Curious and confused as to why she has Scarlett's memories, but the pain, how scared she was, her screams, her loneliness, her pains, she could feel them all like they belonged to her, and it hurt.

" Hey! Hey!! You need to pull yourself together, and let's explain our situation", she heard the stern, strange voice again.

Like she was being tortured with confusion, pain, fear, and anger, she looked around in fright.

" Who's there? Who's that?",

" Now listen carefully to me mortal, I'm Rionaya, the moon goddess",

" Eh?", she looked at herself in the mirror again, not blaming the fact that she was already running crazy, she didn't want to be sane either, she was getting eaten up by too many emotions and feelings and all she was desperate for right now is silence, absolute silence with no breath coming from anywhere.

She gave herself a scoffing laugh, touching her looking crazy hair, " I'm crazy",

" Hey, moron! You're not crazy, I'm the moon goddess, and I'm trapped inside you".

The mention of the moon goddess surges anger through her, remembering Scarlet's feelings of hatred for the moon goddess, her anger which Collided with Elora's. Whatever happened to her best friend was everyone's fault, including the moon goddess's; everything she had done was nothing but make Scarlett's life miserable; every pain she felt, and every anger she felt all collided with hers, and the rage became a volcano that was about to erupt.

" The moon goddess you say?", she asked standing up and staring back at the mirror,

" Yes",

" Why should I believe that there's a moon goddess in me and not me going crazy?", she asked mischievously.

" While you were busy crying like a baby, I tried taking over, but I couldn't, so I guess I can't take over your body without your permission. And that's annoying, well I can show you by taking over", she mumbled angrily, but Elora heard it all, very clearly.

" Okay, I'll let you take over," she accepted willingly, and the soul swapped immediately.

Naya brushed her hair with her finger frustratedly while she looked into the mirror, " you believe it now",

" Okay...", she nodded her head, and her head moved,

" Huh? Are you nodding?",

" Yes",

" How come? I can't move any part of this body while you take over".

The moment she said that Elora smirked evilly, her heart heavy with nothing but fury.
