Chapter 4 - Doomed

"We're fling buddies?!" I screamed alongside his family and my mother

He kicked my leg under the table. I understood the signal but I wasn't going to agree to that nonsense.

Why would I agree to being his fling buddy.

Then how do you plan to stay normal, Eva Dolce? A taunting voice which sounded like Jordan's, sang in my head

Urgh! Now he was in my head

"Now that i remember, I thought you said JORDAN denied you a job interview yesterday?" My mother asked, raising her eyebrow at me.

"Yeah, He did. I wonder why he would do that to his fling buddy?" I smiled halfly at him, averting all their attention to him. I wasn't going to let anyone put me under the knife

He shrugged. "I didn't want my personal life mixing with business. You know me, mother" He smiled casually at his mother. She smiled brightly, nodding her head

"My boy likes to keep his private life away from his work life. This is actually an awesome news." Isabelle smiled at us. "From fling to -"

"Nothing" I completed. "Flings to nothing, auntie"

She gave me that sly smirk and I didn't like it at all. My eyes darted to Adams. I could feel his eyes burning into my face ever since but couldn't bring myself to look at him.

"How come I've never seen her then?" Adam asked, his eyes on me.

I felt nervous from his stare. He looked at me as though he could see through my lies.

"Because it's not everything you need to know, little brother" Jordan spat, throwing him a dirty glare

Ah, little brother.

"Sure."

"One last announcement." Jordan said, glancing at me before looking at everyone else.

I had a feeling I wouldn't like that one.

"I'm going to like this one" Nana spoke from where she sat in the parlor

"I would want to get to know Eva better and so I would want her to live with ....."

The last words sounded faint because my ear had blocked it out. My head was spinning. How did my life get to this point?

"Eva!" The loud sound of my mother's palm banging the table, snapped me out of my drowning thought

"Ye.. yeah?" I jerked, looking round the table. Their eyes pierced through me. I didn't like it at all. I pushed my chair back aggressively, standing up. "Thank you all for the brunch."

With that, I ran back upstairs. I heard Jordan tell them he'd talk to me. I fastened my pace, taking 2 steps at a time.

"Eva. Eva, wait"

My legs wouldn't stop as they moved on their own accord. My heart was beating fast. Fingers trembling.

Fear or Nervousness? I didn't know.

"Eva" He pushed me to the wall, caging me in-between his arms. "What's wrong with you?" He looked down into my face

I bit my lips, unsure of what to say. "This isn't right" my voice came out as a whisper.

"Of course, this isn't right. I don't even want this. I don't want you" He spat. My chest clenched at his words. Slowly, I raised my eyes to meet his - it was empty and cold.

"And you think I want you?" I eyed him. Hissing, I placed my hand in his chest in an attempt to push him away but he wouldn't budge. "Can you give me some damn space?"

"No. Not until we come into an agreement." He raised my chin up. I pushed his hands away from my face.

"I don't -"

"You want to live with my cock? Is that what you want? Do you know how it feels to wake up with a boner every morning? Do you know how it feels when you're horny and you get to fight to control it? Do you -"

"Jesus, it's enough!" I shook my head. "It's enough, please"

"I could go on and on. We can do this for each other. I promise, I don't even want you by my side for long and so I must find a solution to this" He begged, holding my arm softly.

I sighed, exhaling softly. "Only until this is over"

"I swear" His lips curved up into a smile. My pupils dilated as my eyes couldn't peel away from his cute dimpled smile. It was flawless. "Eva... You're looking at me weirdly, it's creepy"

I cleared my throat, pushing him away. "You're suffocating me. Your.. your perfume"

He smirked, keeping a good distance between us. "Yeah, right." He began to walk round my room, picking up my book from the bed. "You read dark romance?"

"Out. Out of my room, Jordan" I pulled my book from his hand, spinning him around.

"I can't go without you" He halted. No matter how hard I tried to push him away, he wouldn't budge.

"You ..."

"You'd end up with my -"

I placed my hand on his mouth, shushing him up. "Don't. Don't complete it"

His hand circled around my waist, holding me closer. He peeled my hand off his mouth before dropping his head down until it got to my neck. His hot breath fanned my neck, making my knees go weak

Thank goodness he was holding me.

"You don't want my cock, Princess? I don't need to brag about it because I'm sure you've seen it already." He whispered.

Urgh!

I struggled to get out of his grip but he wouldn't let me. "If you don't come with me, Princess, I'd make sure that when I go back with your vagina, I'd widen it with a dildo."

What the fuck?

"That's disgusting!" I pushed him away with all my might. "Oh goodness! That sounded too gay"

"Agreed" He nodded, cleaning the side of his mouth. He needed to. "But you get my point"

"I'll go with you but -"

"We need to sign an agreement. A contract of mutuality and no feeling attached" He frowned, tucking his hand in his pocket.

"You think I'd fall for you?" I eyed him up and down.

"Yeah, I'm handsome" He shrugged. "I have money too"

"Your daddy's money, you mean?" I scoffed.

"You - I can't deal with you" He shook his head, turning away.

"Neither can I" I yelled after him. I slammed my door shut, pacing back and forth.

What if we were back to normal. I mean, it's been hours now and I've been myself.

Maybe the Mishap effect was just until you saw the person. It has to be that.

"Hunnie, they're going!" I heard my mother yell for me.

I rolled my eyes, falling on the bed. He can get the fuck out. I doubt I needed him.

When I heard his car horn, I sat up. I began to bite my fingers nervously as I looked out the window. My stomach churned - it was nervousness.

The tingly feeling was building up. I was feeling it. Oh no!

"Mother." I bolted out of my room. "Stop them. Stop them, please!"

"Too late. You didn't listen again" Grandma said in a sing-song manner

"Jordan said his flight leaves by 9pm so he had to go get ready for it" My mother shrugged, picking up the dishes.

Jordan was leaving?

With... With my - No!

No.

Nooooooo. I was doomed.
