Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: I was owed money

"Forget it. Whether or not there's a threat to the ordinary public is just a decision made by you guys at the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."

"If you hadn't sent special forces teams after me three times in a row without successfully capturing me, I reckon I would have been locked up in some unknown, mysterious prison by now, on the grounds that I was a threat to the ordinary public."

Rogge didn't give Coulson any face.

"Those are all necessary procedural issues, you understand, the kind that must be executed."

Being refuted so bluntly by Rogge, even Coulson, an experienced agent, couldn't help but reveal a hint of embarrassment.

"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and … Damn it, can't your agency change its name?"

Every time he recited this name, Rogge seriously suspected that the higher-ups were all drunk on vodka when they came up with it.

"We're working on that issue and believe there will be a new name soon!"

Although he was one of them, Coulson himself had quite a few opinions about this somewhat awkward name.

Every time he went out on a mission, as soon as he said the agency's name, others would reveal a 'are you kidding me?' expression.

"Hopefully! I'm going back now. If you're interested, continue staying here to read outdated newspapers!"

After speaking, Rogge directly used the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the office and return to his secret hideout.

In the past three years, due to carrying out commissions, Rogge had made quite a few enemies in New York, and most of them were people and organizations who didn't really care about the law and only used violent means to solve problems.

For safety's sake, to avoid being sniped in his sleep or having his door blown off with a rocket launcher, Rogge used a very secretive identity and spent eight figures in US dollars to buy a small hideout.

More than five hundred square meters, high-rise, overlooking the entire Central Park of New York.

Even though it's located in downtown New York, it's still quiet and pleasant, a pretty decent hideout.

No one would have thought that someone who was ostensibly a private detective would live in such a place, and Rogge also didn't have to worry about his whereabouts being revealed.

Since moving in here, no one had seen him go out.

Every time he went out, he would use the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport directly to the office, saving time and effort, one step directly, without having to worry about traffic jams on the road.

The next day at noon, Rogge returned to the office through the Flying Thunder God Technique, and then he saw Coulson still sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper.

This scene looked no different from yesterday, the only difference being that Coulson was no longer holding a newspaper that had been outdated for who knows how long, but today's freshly baked New York Times.

Whether intentional or unintentional, the headline on the page facing Rogge happened to be the commission he carried out yesterday.

"Sensational Massacre!!! New York Experiences Horrific Slaughter, 115 Gang Members Die Tragically in Warehouse!"

"Is this a distortion of human nature, or a decline of morality!"

Although, strictly speaking, Hand ninjas and gang members are two completely different professions, it is clear that the reporter responsible for writing this news did not know this.

However, Rogge liked the small subtitle that the reporter came up with, it evoked some good memories for him.

"Looks like you care about Tony Stark a lot!"

The coffee in front of Coulson had lost all its temperature, it was clear that he had arrived at the office a long time ago.

"His father was one of the founders, and he himself is the government's most important weapons supplier, so we don't want anything to happen to him."

Coulson said with a serious face, but Rogge didn't quite believe his explanation.

If they really cared so much about Tony Stark's safety, they would have sent someone to rescue Tony long ago.

The Ten Rings gang hiding in the mountains of Afghanistan might be difficult to find for others, but for them, it was at most a slightly more troublesome matter.

"Whatever you say!"

After speaking, Rogge took out a commission scroll from the drawer of his desk.

Just as he was about to open the scroll and have Coulson write the commission down in black and white, he suddenly thought of something.

He took out a legal cell phone from the drawer and logged into his account.

When he saw the balance of less than five figures on his account, his face became a little unsightly.

I actually got stiffed!

After refreshing the page several times in a row, Rogge had to admit the fact that he had indeed been stiffed.

Kingpin, the underworld emperor of New York, actually stiffed him!

Although this matter seemed a bit funny, the system commission column clearly showed the three words 'Unfinished'.

Commission rule number two, the commission is only considered complete after receiving the remuneration specified in the commission.

"My last commission was stiffed by the client, so you need to wait here for another five minutes, I'll be back in five minutes!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Rogge's figure disappeared in front of Coulson again.

Having already waited for a morning, waiting another five minutes was nothing, Coulson had no objections to this.

Although Coulson didn't know who Rogge's last commission client was, he was very sure that that client was very unwise.

Some people's money can never be stiffed, and it's best not to even have the idea of stiffing it!

Through the Flying Thunder God Technique, Rogge teleported directly to the top of the Fisk Building.

The Fisk Building is where the Kingpin's headquarters are located, and before teleporting, Rogge specifically used [Chakra Sensing] to sense the Kingpin's location.

The Chakra Sensing technique is one of his accumulations from the past three years, which he exchanged from the system, originally belonging to the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.

This technique, without the need for hand seals, is extremely accurate in its insight, even if the target is thousands of miles away, it can accurately sense the target's life intensity and chakra intensity.

Apart from the fact that the ninbi required to exchange it were relatively high, this technique could be said to have no drawbacks.

Because no one in this world except Rogge himself possessed chakra, this technique was slightly adjusted by the system, and the ability to sense chakra intensity was replaced by the ability to sense energy intensity.

Rogge had met Kingpin once when he was commissioned, so he was very clear about Kingpin's life intensity.

Before performing the Flying Thunder God Technique, he sensed Kingpin's location in advance and found that Kingpin happened to be in the Fisk Building.

As for the Flying Thunder God Technique formula on the roof of the Fisk Building, he had left it a long time ago.

Not only the Fisk Building, but even the roof of the Stark Tower also has the Flying Thunder God Technique formula.

In the past three years, Rogge had left hundreds of Flying Thunder God Technique formulas of various sizes in New York, allowing himself to teleport to various areas of New York at any time through the Flying Thunder God Technique.
