Author's POV

The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. The remnants of Holi-faint stains of color on the sheets, a lingering scent of sandalwood and gulal-told the story of the chaos from the day before.

Isha stirred first. A soft hum escaped her lips as she shifted slightly, feeling something warm and solid under her cheek. Shivansh's heartbeat.

Her eyes fluttered open, only to realize that she was half-draped over him, her fingers lazily curled around his shirt. His arm was secured around her waist, holding her close as if even in sleep, he refused to let her go.

Isha stiffened. The realization hit her fast.

They had fallen asleep in each other's arms.

Her breath hitched, but before she could even think of moving, Shivansh stirred, his grip unconsciously tightening around her waist.

His voice was deep and husky from sleep, "Five more minutes..."

Isha blinked. Was he still asleep?

She was about to push away when he shifted slightly, his face now buried in the crook of her neck, his lips brushing lightly against her skin.

A shiver ran down her spine. This was dangerous.

Her cheeks burned as she gently tried to move, but his grip tightened even more.

Shivansh, now slightly awake, smirked against her skin. "You're acting like we haven't woken up like this before."

Her mouth opened, then closed. "W-we haven't."

He finally opened his eyes, amusement flickering in their depths as he met her flustered expression. "Haven't we?"

Isha pushed at his chest-hard. "Let me go."

Chuckling, he finally loosened his grip, but not before brushing his thumb over the color still smeared on her cheek.

"You look good in my colors, Isha."

Her heart skipped. He always had a way of saying things that left her breathless.

She swallowed, rolling off the bed. "I'm going to freshen up."

She hurried toward the bathroom, leaving Shivansh watching her retreat with a knowing smirk.

The dining table was already set when Isha and Shivansh walked downstairs. Everyone was scattered around, enjoying the post-Holi calmness.

Isha felt eyes on her-Prisha and Ishika grinning like fools. They had definitely noticed the shift between her and Shivansh.

Ignoring them, she took her seat beside Shivansh, who casually grabbed his coffee, unfazed.

Just as Isha took a bite of her toast, Shivansh's grandmother's voice rang out.

"Everyone, come to the living area after breakfast. There's something important we need to discuss."

A pin-drop silence followed.

what this was about.

She forced herself to keep eating, but her mind was no longer on food.

The living area was filled with voices, the weight of an important conversation hanging in the air. Everyone had gathered after breakfast, seated comfortably yet expectantly.

Shivansh and Isha took their seats next to their respective families, unaware of the storm that was about to unfold.

Dadi sa, in her elegant yet authoritative voice, addressed Isha's parents.

"It's time we speak about Shivansh and Isha's marriage."

A hush fell over the room. The elders exchanged glances, while the younger ones straightened, sensing the importance of the discussion.

Isha felt her chest tighten. She had known this conversation was inevitable, but that didn't make it any easier.

Her mother, Devika, was the first to respond, her voice cautious yet warm.

"Of course, we knew this day would come... But is it not too soon?"

Dada sa chuckled, shaking his head.

"Beta, they already love each other. They are comfortable with one another. What more do we need to wait for?"

Devika hesitated, looking toward Isha's father, Vikram, who had been silent until now.

Vikram cleared his throat. "We just want to be sure that Isha is ready for this."

All eyes turned to Isha.

She felt a lump in her throat. Ready?

She hadn't even thought about it-about leaving Delhi, leaving everything she had built, her firm, her independence.

The thought unnerved her.

Shivansh's father, Abhimanyu finally spoke up. "Isha is already a part of our family. This wedding is just a formality now."

Shivansh's mother, Meera, smiled warmly. "Isha beta, you will love Jaipur. And don't worry, we won't take you away from your family. You can visit as often as you like."

Isha felt her lips part slightly, but no words came out.

She wasn't scared of marriage.

She was scared of what it would change.

Ishika's brother, Ritwik frowned. "Jaipur is very different from Delhi. Have you considered how much she will have to adjust?"

Shivansh's bua sa, Kalyani, waved a hand dismissively. "Beta, every girl adjusts after marriage. That's how it is."

Arav leaned forward. "I think what bhai mean is that Isha has her business here. It's not just about moving; it's about her entire career."

Prisha, who had been silent, finally spoke up.

"And we all know Isha. She's not someone who adjusts just for the sake of it."

Isha looked at Prisha surprised.

That was the moment Juhi let out a small chuckle.

"Oh please," she said, shaking her head. "You all are making it sound like she's being sent to exile."

A few people exchanged glances.

Juhi leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. "Or is it that you don't actually want to get married, Isha?"

A sharp silence followed.

Isha felt her heart drop.

Juhi's smile was sweet, but her eyes held something sharp. "I mean, it makes sense. You haven't said a single word since the discussion started."

Isha's hands curled into fists on her lap.

"Juhi." Shivansh's voice was dangerously low.

Juhi merely shrugged. "What? I'm just saying what everyone's thinking. If she really wanted this, she would have said something by now."

Isha looked away, unable to form a response.

Juhi smirked. "Or maybe she just enjoys the attention of being the 'future queen' without actually committing to it."

A muscle ticked in Shivansh's jaw.

That was it.

"Enough." His voice was sharp, cutting through the tension.

Everyone turned to look at him.

"Isha doesn't have to answer to you." His eyes locked onto Juhi's, daring her to say more.

Juhi scoffed but didn't push further.

Isha, still overwhelmed, slowly stood up.

"I-I need some air."

And before anyone could stop her, she walked away.

The wind was cool, a stark contrast to the warmth inside the house.

Isha stood near the garden, arms wrapped around herself, staring at nothing in particular.

She didn't hear Shivansh approach until his arms wrapped around her from behind.

She gasped softly.

"Why did you walk away?" His voice was calm but firm, his chin resting lightly on her shoulder.

Isha closed her eyes, leaning into his warmth.

"Because I don't know what to say."

Shivansh turned her around, making her face him.

"Then tell me what you're feeling."

Her eyes searched his, her heart pounding.

"I love you, Shivansh. But I don't know if I'm ready for this."

His expression softened. He brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I won't force you, Isha." His voice was a whisper. "If you're not ready, we'll wait."

Isha felt her eyes sting.

"But what about your family? They expect us to-"

He cut her off, pressing his forehead against hers.

"Screw expectations." His breath was warm against her lips. "You come first."

Isha's heart clenched. How did he always know exactly what to say?

A tear slipped down her cheek. Shivansh wiped it away.

"I'll wait for you. Forever, if I have to."

That was the moment Isha realized how deep his love truly was.

And she wasn't sure if she deserved it.

But right now, wrapped in his arms, she felt safe.

And maybe... just maybe... that was enough.

Isha walk in silence, in the living area, her mind racing with a hundred thoughts. The elders had just finished discussing her marriage with Shivansh, and though she loved him, the reality of shifting from Delhi to Jaipur felt overwhelming. She needed time.

Shivansh's grand mother had been the one to bring up the topic first, speaking warmly about the bond Isha and Shivansh shared. Her parents had listened, discussing the future with respect and consideration. But Isha... she remained frozen.

Finally, gathering her courage, she stood up. The entire room turned towards her.

"I need time to think about it," Isha said, her voice steady but distant. "I'll give my answer tomorrow."

A moment of silence followed. Then shivansh's grandfather nodded.

"That's understandable, beta," he said gently. "It's a big decision, and we respect your thoughts."

Her parents agreed, and with that, the conversation ended. The men's left for the office, while the women gathered in the living area for casual talks. The tension in Isha's chest remained, but at least she had a day to herself.

Isha walked out to the courtyard where the younger ones had gathered. The Holi colors had faded from their clothes, but the festive spirit lingered.

"I have an idea!" Aviyansh announced suddenly, grinning. "Since you all are in Jaipur, why don't we explore the city?"

Ishika clapped her hands together. "That's actually a great plan. Isha, you've been to Jaipur before?"

Isha nodded, still feeling numb. "A few times."

"Then let's make it memorable this time," Aarav suggested. "A full day out, just us."

Everyone started agreeing enthusiastically. Even Ranveer, usually the serious one, seemed interested.

Just then, Juhi, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly spoke up. "Oh! If you're all going, I want to come too."

A brief silence followed. No one particularly wanted Juhi there, but they couldn't refuse without seeming rude.

Shivansh's jaw tightened, but he said nothing. He wasn't pleased with this sudden addition, but he wasn't about to make a scene either.

"Fine," Ranveer said with a shrug. "Let's plan the locations."

Since Shivansh and others were royalty, the tour couldn't be public. A private itinerary was arranged, ensuring that the places they visited would be secured in advance, preventing the public from noticing Shivansh.

Dhruv, ever the practical one, sighed. "It's a hassle, but better than causing a media storm."

"We'll go in seprated cars," Shivansh decided. And isha cut him in middle "No we will go together and you all have to dress normally not for some board members meeting."

"I'd pay to see you in casual clothes," Ishika teased looking at shivansh.

Shivansh shot her a look, but Isha... she didn't laugh. She was still lost in thought.

Juhi noticed this and smirked slightly, leaning in towards Isha. "You know, Isha... Jaipur is beautiful, but it's also a city full of expectations. I mean, after today, you might be living here forever. That must be a lot to take in."

Isha glanced at her but didn't respond. She wasn't in the mood for Juhi's mind games.

Shivansh, however, noticed the exchange. His irritation with Juhi grew, but he decided to stay silent-for now.

Their first stop was Hawa Mahal-the majestic "Palace of Winds." The group admired the architecture, clicking pictures and joking around.

While the others wandered, Isha found herself near a side entrance, scrolling through her phone when a familiar voice called her name.

"Isha?"

She turned and saw a tall man with long, wavy hair approaching her. It took her a second to recognize him.

"Mr kapoor?" she blinked in surprise.

Rohan was an old client from Delhi, someone she had worked with briefly. He smiled, stepping closer.

"I never expected to see you here," he said, grinning. "How have you been?"

Isha smiled politely. "I'm good. Just here with... family."

Rohan chuckled. "You still working too much? Or did you finally take a break?"

Before she could answer, she suddenly felt a strong presence behind her. The air shifted, tension thickening.

She turned slightly-Shivansh was standing there.

His jaw was clenched, his eyes dark with a dangerous intensity.

Rohan, oblivious, continued talking. "We should catch up sometime, Isha. It's been a while."

Shivansh stepped closer, his hand finding its way to Isha's waist, gripping it possessively.

"She's busy," Shivansh said, his voice low and firm.

Rohan blinked, looking between them. "Oh... I didn't realize-"

"You realize now," Shivansh cut him off.

Isha, realizing how tense Shivansh was, placed a hand on his arm. "Shivansh, it's fine. He's just a client."

Shivansh didn't move.

Juhi, watching from a distance, smirked. "Interesting," she murmured to herself.

Finally, Rohan, sensing the hostility, raised his hands. "Alright, I won't keep you. Nice seeing you, Isha."

He walked away, and the moment he was out of sight, Shivansh turned to Isha.

"What the hell was that?"

Isha blinked. "What do you mean?"

"He was getting too close."

"He was just talking," Isha argued, crossing her arms. "Shivansh, you can't-"

Before she could finish, he pulled her closer. "I don't like men looking at what's mine."

Isha's breath hitched. His tone was low, intense, possessive.

"You're being ridiculous," she muttered, though her heartbeat was erratic.

"Am I?" Shivansh murmured, his fingers tracing her jaw. "Maybe I should remind you exactly who you belong to."

A shiver ran down her spine.

Ishika, in the distance, cleared her throat loudly. "Uh, guys? We're leaving."

Isha quickly stepped back, cheeks flushed, while Shivansh smirked.

This tour was just getting started.

After leaving Hawa Mahal, the group headed towards Amer Fort, one of Jaipur's most majestic forts. The ride there was filled with laughter, teasing, and, of course, Juhi's continuous attempts to provoke Isha. But Isha, still shaken by Shivansh's sudden possessiveness, mostly kept to herself.

Shivansh, on the other hand, was still seething. Every time he glanced at Isha, his mind replayed the moment with Rohan. The way that man had looked at her, the casual familiarity in his tone-it made his blood boil.

And the worst part? Isha hadn't even noticed how close Rohan had leaned in.

He exhaled sharply, gripping the steering wheel tighter. If he had to endure another moment of seeing Isha ignore him, he might just drag her away from everyone.

As they arrived at Amer Fort, the group split up to explore different parts. The golden sandstone glowed under the sunlight, creating a breathtaking view.

Isha was walking ahead with Ishika and Prisha when she suddenly felt her wrist being grabbed.

Before she could react, she was pulled behind one of the old carved pillars.

"Shivansh?" she gasped as she stumbled against his chest.

His eyes were dark, unreadable. His hold on her wrist was firm but not painful.

"You've been ignoring me all way," he stated, his voice low.

Isha frowned, pulling her hand away. "I haven't been ignoring you."

He stepped closer, trapping her against the cold stone wall.

"Oh, really?" he murmured, tilting his head. "So you didn't purposely avoid sitting next to me? Or laugh a little too much at Aviyansh's jokes? Or-"

She huffed in frustration. "You're being ridiculous."

He leaned in, his lips hovering near her ear. "Am I?"

Isha swallowed. The space between them had disappeared, and suddenly, the centuries-old fort felt like the most intimate place on earth.

She turned her face away, trying to create some distance, but Shivansh placed a hand on the wall beside her, blocking her in.

"I didn't like that man talking to you," he admitted, his voice dropping lower. "I didn't like the way he looked at you."

Isha finally met his gaze. "Shivansh, you can't just claim me whenever you feel jealous."

He smirked slightly. "You think that's what this is?"

She glared. "That's exactly what this is."

Silence stretched between them. The only sound was the distant laughter of their friends, unaware of the tension building between them.

Then, suddenly, Shivansh grabbed her chin gently, forcing her to look at him.

"I'm not jealous," he whispered. "I'm possessive."

Isha's breath hitched.

Before she could process his words, his lips brushed against hers. It wasn't forceful-it was slow, teasing, like he was testing how much she would resist.

Her fingers curled against his shirt, her mind screaming at her to push him away, but her body betrayed her.

He kissed her again, deeper this time, his other hand slipping to her waist. The warmth of his touch sent a shiver down her spine.

A sudden voice echoed through the corridor.

"Isha?"

They broke apart instantly.

Isha turned to see Ishika standing at the entrance of the hallway, arms crossed, an amused smirk on her face.

"I knew you two disappeared for a reason," Ishika teased.

Isha quickly looked away, cheeks burning.

Shivansh, however, smirked shamelessly. "We were just... appreciating the architecture."

Ishika rolled her eyes. "Right. Well, enjoy your 'architecture.' The rest of us are heading to the restaurant for lunch and then Nahargarh Fort for sunset. Try not to get lost."

She winked and walked away, leaving Isha standing there, absolutely mortified.

Shivansh chuckled, stepping closer. "You're blushing."

"I hate you," she muttered, pushing past him.

But as she walked ahead, she could still feel the warmth of his touch lingering on her skin.

And she knew-no matter how much she denied it-she had lost this battle.

After their intense moment at Amer Fort, Shivansh and Isha rejoined the others as if nothing had happened. But the lingering tension between them was impossible to ignore-at least for those paying attention.

The group decided to head to a luxury restaurant near the fort for lunch before continuing their Jaipur tour. The place was exclusive, with an outdoor seating area offering a breathtaking view of the city. Golden chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, and the faint melody of live Rajasthani folk music added a warm touch to the elegant atmosphere.

They settled at a long table, where the seating arrangement became another silent battle.

Shivansh wanted to sit next to Isha.

Isha, still fuming from their earlier conversation, deliberately sat between Ishika and Prisha.

Juhi, sensing an opportunity, quickly took the seat next to Shivansh, flashing him a sweet smile. "Looks like we're sitting together, shiva," she said innocently.

Shivansh didn't even acknowledge her. His eyes were still on Isha.

Ranveer smirked as he sat down. "Tough luck, man."

Shivansh shot him a glare, while Aviyansh, who had taken a seat beside Ishika, snorted. "isha seems very interested in her food today."

Isha ignored them, picking up her menu.

As they waited for their food, everyone fell into easy conversations, but there were some underlying tensions between the couples.

Aviyansh leaned toward Ishika, watching her as she absentmindedly flipped through the menu.

"What are you ordering?" he asked.

"I don't know," she said, distracted.

Aviyansh smirked. "If you're this distracted now, I can only imagine how lost you'd be if I actually tried flirting with you."

Ishika rolled her eyes. "In your dreams, Aviyansh."

"Oh, sweetheart," he teased, resting his elbow on the table. "You already exist in my dreams."

Ishika choked on her water. Isha and Prisha giggled, while dhruv whistled.

Ishika glared at Aviyansh, who winked at her. But despite her irritation, the faint blush on her cheeks didn't go unnoticed.

Prisha and Aarav sat across from each other, but while Aarav kept stealing glances at her, Prisha was oblivious.

Dhruv noticed this and nudged Aarav. "Dude, stop staring like a lovesick puppy. Just talk to her."

Aarav shot him a warning glare. "Shut up."

Prisha looked up, confused. "What?"

"Nothing," Aarav said quickly. "Dhruv's just being dhruv. "

Prisha nodded and went back to sipping her juice.

Dhruv smirked. "Dude, if you don't make a move soon, someone else will."

" It's just a little couple fight I will made up. " Aarav's jaw tightened. He wasn't ready to admit it yet, but he hated the idea of Prisha with anyone else.

Juhi sat beside Shivansh, pretending to be completely at ease. She made small talk with Ranveer and Aviyansh but occasionally glanced at Isha.

Then, she smirked and leaned toward Shivansh. "Shiva, I was thinking... what if Isha isn't comfortable moving to Jaipur? I mean, her entire life is in Delhi."

Shivansh's expression remained unreadable. "She'll be fine."

Juhi tilted her head. "Are you sure? What if she's only saying yes because of family pressure?"

Shivansh's grip on his glass tightened.

Isha overheard the conversation and clenched her fork.

Juhi smiled sweetly at Isha. "What do you think, Isha? Wouldn't it be hard to leave your whole life behind?"

Isha met her gaze with a cool expression. "I haven't decided yet, Juhi. But thank you for your concern."

Juhi's smile faltered for a second before she quickly covered it up.

Shivansh leaned back in his chair, watching Isha closely. Was she actually considering backing out?

The thought sent a sharp, unpleasant pang through him.

Just when the tension at the table was starting to settle, Rohan-the same client from earlier-walked into the restaurant.

And, of course, he spotted Isha immediately.

"Isha?" Rohan's deep voice cut through the chatter. He approached the table, looking surprised but pleased. "I can't believe I ran into you here again!"

Isha blinked, caught off guard. "Rohan?"

Shivansh's jaw locked.

Ranveer whispered to Aviyansh, "Oh, he's gonna kill this guy."

Isha, unaware of Shivansh's murderous mood, offered Rohan a polite smile. "Why the way, What are you doing in Jaipur?"

"Business," Rohan said, his eyes lingering on her for a moment too long. "I was actually thinking of contacting you for a meeting."

Before Isha could respond, Shivansh stood up.

The entire table went silent.

Even Rohan seemed slightly taken aback by the intense aura radiating from Shivansh.

"Isha is busy," Shivansh said coldly. "She won't be available."

Isha shot him a glare. "Excuse me?"

Shivansh ignored her. He placed a hand on the small of her back, pulling her slightly toward him in an unmistakable claiming gesture.

Rohan's gaze flickered between them, realization dawning on his face. "Ah... I see."

Isha sighed and turned to Rohan. "I'll call you later."

Rohan nodded, his expression amused. "Of course."

As he walked away, Shivansh leaned down and whispered, "If I see him near you again, I won't be this polite."

Isha glared at him but said nothing.

Juhi, meanwhile, watched the entire interaction with burning jealousy.

Then they all went to Nahargarh Fort, the journey was lively, but there was an undercurrent of tension that only a few noticed. Isha sat with Prisha and Ishika, purposefully keeping herself occupied in their conversation, while Shivansh sat at the front with Ranveer and Aviyansh, his jaw clenched.

He had kissed her.

And she hadn't stopped him.

But now, she was avoiding him.

Juhi, who had been sitting across from Isha, observed everything closely. She smirked to herself-this was the perfect time to strike.

As they arrived, the golden hues of the setting sun bathed the fort in a warm glow. The city of Jaipur stretched below them, an endless expanse of lights and colors.

"This view is incredible," Ishika breathed.

Ranveer grinned. "Perfect place for couples, huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows at Aviyansh and Ishika, who only blushed in response.

"Let's explore," Prisha suggested, already dragging Aarav toward the edge of the fort's balcony.

Isha was about to follow when Juhi's voice stopped her.

"Isha," Juhi called sweetly, stepping closer. "You seem... lost in thought. Everything okay?"

Isha gave her a tight smile. "I'm fine."

Juhi sighed dramatically. "You must be feeling pressured, right? After all, our families just casually discussed your marriage like it was a done deal."

Isha stiffened.

Juhi's smile widened. "And shifting from Delhi to Jaipur... that must be a lot to take in. But, then again, you and Shivansh are so in love, right?"

Isha clenched her fists. Juhi's words weren't necessarily wrong, but the way she said them made it clear she was trying to plant doubt.

Before she could respond, Juhi added, "You know, if you ever feel overwhelmed, I'm always here to listen. And-" She leaned in slightly. "You don't have to say yes to this marriage just because everyone expects it."

Isha's chest tightened.

She knew Juhi had an ulterior motive. But was she wrong? Had she been so caught up in Shivansh that she hadn't truly considered what this marriage would mean for her life?

Shivansh watched from a distance, his eyes narrowing as he saw Juhi whispering to Isha.

His mood had already been sour. But it completely snapped when he noticed another figure approaching Isha-Rohan.

The same man from earlier.

Shivansh's grip on the stone railing tightened as he saw Rohan was about to place a hand on Isha's arm.

His patience? Gone.

His temper? Boiling.

Without thinking, he strode over, grabbed Isha's wrist, and pulled her away from both Juhi and Rohan.

"Shivansh?" Isha gasped, struggling slightly.

"Not. Now." His voice was low, dangerous.

Juhi smirked, feigning innocence. "Oh my, what's wrong, Shiva?"

Shivansh shot her a glare that could kill.

Then, without another word, he dragged Isha inside the fort, away from the others.

The moment they were out of sight, Isha yanked her hand free. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Shivansh turned sharply, eyes burning with anger. "I should be asking you that!"

Isha scoffed. "Excuse me?"

He stepped closer, voice dropping to a near-growl. "How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from him?"

"Are you serious right now?" Isha snapped. "I don't know how he always came where I am! I was not talking to him and second he was my client!"

Shivansh let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, so now clients touch your arm and whisper things to you?"

Isha's eyes widened in outrage. "You're being ridiculous!"

His jaw clenched. "And you're being naĆÆve."

Silence stretched between them. The sun had fully set now, leaving the sky a deep purple, the city lights twinkling in the distance.

Then, in a softer voice, he added, "Isha... do you even realize how much I-" He cut himself off, shaking his head.

She took a deep breath. "Shivansh, you can't keep doing this. You can't just pull me away every time someone talks to me. I am not a thing shivansh."

His hand found her waist, fingers curling around her. "And you can't expect me to just stand there when someone else looks at what's mine."

Her breath hitched.

Mine.

The word sent a shiver through her, a dangerous mix of anger and longing.

"Shivansh-"

Whatever she was about to say was lost when he pushed her against the cold stone wall, his lips crashing onto hers.

This kiss wasn't like the one in Amer Fort. This was raw. Desperate.

Isha gasped against his lips, her hands instinctively clutching his shoulders.

He was furious. And possessive. And completely intoxicating.

Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as he deepened the kiss.

The world around them faded. There was no Jaipur, no fort, no people-just them.

Finally, after what felt like forever, they broke apart, breathless.

Shivansh pressed his forehead against hers. "I don't care what anyone says. You are mine. And I won't let anyone come between us."

Isha didn't respond. Because, for once... she wasn't sure she wanted to fight him on this.

The sun had started setting over Jaipur, casting golden hues over the grand forts and palaces. The group had spent the entire day exploring, but with the evening settling in, they decided to pause the tour and continue the next day.

As they drove back from the last fort, the girls sat together, chatting and laughing. Windows are open air is coming from it, they were in allowed the cool evening breeze to flow through their hair, adding to the lighthearted mood.

"I wish Ritvik bhaiya and Arjun were here too," Prisha sighed, leaning back against her seat.

Ishika nodded. "Seriously, it would have been even more fun with them."

Isha smiled at the thought. Ritvik had left for business after that marriage decision suddenly, and Arjun had been caught up with his own work. The trip felt incomplete without them.

"Should we ask them to join us tomorrow?" Dhruv suggested from the front seat.

Isha grinned. "Good luck convincing them."

The conversation continued with playful teasing and laughter, but Shivansh had been silent the whole time.

He wasn't one for idle chatter, but more than that, his mind was elsewhere-on the woman sitting just a few seats away, oblivious to the storm brewing inside him.

As the group neared the door of the palace, Shivansh finally spoke. His voice was calm yet firm, directed only at Isha.

"Come with me. I have to take you somewhere."

Isha blinked in surprise. "Where?"

"You'll see."

Isha hesitated. The group was heading back together, and leaving separately with Shivansh of all people felt... reckless.

But his gaze held something unreadable-something intense, something undeniable.

Before she could second-guess herself, she nodded.

Shivansh signaled his driver, and within minutes, a sleek black car pulled up. Without a word, he opened the door for Isha.

The others were curious but didn't question it.

Juhi, however, was seething in silence.

The ride was quiet.

Shivansh drove effortlessly through Jaipur's streets, his grip on the steering wheel tight, his jaw clenched.

Isha, meanwhile, kept stealing glances at him. The air between them was thick with unspoken words.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they pulled up to a secluded estate.

Isha frowned. "Where are we?"

Shivansh stepped out without answering and walked around to open her door. When she got out, she saw it wasn't just a house-it was a palace.

But unlike the grandeur of his family's Jaipur palace, this one was isolated, standing alone on a private hilltop, away from the city's chaos.

A penthouse inside a palace. Something only a king could afford.

Isha stared in awe. "You even have a penthouse like this here?"

Shivansh simply nodded, leading her inside.

The interior was minimalistic yet luxurious-dark wood, elegant chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city.

A quiet sanctuary.

Just like the man who owned it.

Isha leaned back against the couch, arms crossed, watching Shivansh carefully as he paced the room. He had been restless ever since they returned to his penthouse.

"You still haven't answered me properly," she said, narrowing her eyes. "Why do you think Rohan is dangerous?"

Shivansh exhaled sharply, rubbing a hand over his face. "Because he isn't the person you think he is."

Isha frowned. "What does that even mean?"

Shivansh turned to her, his expression dark, serious. "You're a smart woman, Isha. You read people well. But sometimes, the most dangerous ones are the best at hiding who they really are."

She shook her head. "That's vague, Shivansh."

His jaw clenched, and then he took a slow breath. "You want facts? Fine. People like Rohan-people who build an image of trust-are the most dangerous ones in business and power. They manipulate, they exploit weaknesses, and they never show their true face until it's too late."

Isha folded her arms. "And how do you know all this?"

Shivansh's gaze locked onto hers. "Because, in my world, knowing a person's weaknesses is necessary. It's not just about power-it's about survival."

She stiffened. "Are you saying you... investigate people?"

He gave a dry chuckle. "Not me directly. But I have people who know things. Who find out truths that others don't see. That's how I know that Rohan isn't as clean as he pretends to be."

Isha hesitated. She had always believed that judging someone without proof was unfair. But Shivansh wasn't a man who spoke without reason.

"Then tell me," she whispered. "Tell me what you know."

Shivansh sat down beside her, his expression unreadable. "I know that he preys on people's trust. That the person he shows to you and others is just a well-crafted mask. And that he has a history-one that isn't in the public eye but exists if you know where to look."

Isha swallowed. "And you've looked?"

Shivansh didn't blink. "I don't make blind assumptions, Isha. I confirm things." His voice softened slightly. "And I'm telling you this because I don't want you to get caught up in something dangerous."

She could hear the sincerity in his tone, but something still bothered her. "You always say you don't care about what I do. Then why does this matter to you?"

Shivansh's eyes darkened. "Because this isn't about business, or personal grudges, or anything else." He leaned forward, voice lower now. "This is about you, Isha."

The way he said it sent a shiver down her spine.

She held his gaze for a long moment, searching for any sign of dishonesty.

There was none.

And that scared her even more than Rohan himself.

She swallowed. "And Rohan?"

Shivansh's expression hardened. "He's dangerous. He uses people. Women, businesses-anything that benefits him. He's been involved in illegal dealings for years. If he's approaching you, it's not by accident."

Isha felt a shiver run down her spine.

She thought back to Rohan-his confidence, his ease. Had she been so blind?

Shivansh stepped closer, his voice softer this time. "I'm not saying this out of jealousy, Isha. I'm saying it because I won't let anyone hurt you."

Her heart clenched at the intensity in his eyes.

She had spent so long thinking of Shivansh as cold and distant, but now-here, in his hidden world-she saw a different side.

A side only she had access to.

A Silent Understanding

For the first time that day, Isha didn't argue.

She didn't fight his protectiveness or question his motives.

She simply nodded.

Shivansh noticed the shift in her. He reached out, brushing his fingers against her hand-just enough to feel her warmth.

"I won't let anything happen to you," he murmured.

Isha looked up at him, and for a moment, the world outside ceased to exist.

It was just them.

The king who ruled in silence and the woman who made him feel alive.

After the intensity of their conversation, the tension finally melted away.

"I feel like cooking," Isha suddenly said, standing up.

Shivansh raised an eyebrow. "You? Cooking?"

She shot him a glare. "Yes. Problem?"

A smirk played on his lips. "Just making sure I don't die of food poisoning."

Isha rolled her eyes and turned toward the modern, fully-equipped kitchen of the penthouse. She tied her hair up into a messy bun and started pulling out ingredients.

Shivansh, instead of leaving her alone, leaned against the counter, watching her.

"Don't just stand there, do something useful," she scolded.

He gave a dramatic sigh. "Fine."

To her surprise, he actually stepped forward and helped-grabbing vegetables, handing her spices, and occasionally stealing bites of whatever she was preparing.

"Ansh!" she smacked his hand away when he tried to sneak a taste of the dish she was making.

He chuckled. "I was just checking."

"You'll check when it's on the plate," she warned, shaking her head.

By the time they sat down to eat, their playful banter hadn't stopped.

"Not bad," Shivansh admitted after taking a bite.

Isha gave him a pointed look. "Not bad? That's it?"

Shivansh smirked. "Okay, fine. It's good."

"Say it's amazing."

He leaned back, crossing his arms. "You wish."

Isha huffed but couldn't stop her own smile.

They ate together, laughing and teasing-for the first time, it didn't feel like they were two people caught in complicated circumstances.

Tonight, they were just Isha and Shivansh.

And nothing else mattered.

After dinner, they stayed in the living area, talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

At some point, the air between them changed.

Shivansh was looking at her differently now-his sharp, unreadable eyes had softened, holding something she couldn't name.

Isha swallowed. "What?"

"You have something here," he murmured, brushing his thumb across the corner of her lips.

Her breath hitched.

His hand lingered.

Time slowed.

And before she could think, he closed the distance.

His lips pressed against hers-warm, firm, and entirely possessive.

Isha didn't push him away. She couldn't.

Her hands gripped his shirt, pulling him closer.

Shivansh groaned softly against her lips, deepening the kiss. His hands rested on her waist, then slid up her back, holding her like she belonged to him.

And maybe, in this moment, she did.

Minutes passed-maybe more-but when they finally pulled away, they were breathless.

Isha met his gaze, feeling something shift between them.

Something inevitable.

Neither of them spoke about it. They didn't have to.

Later that night, shivansh tirred awake.

Isha was practically over him, but they had to leave.

He nudged her. "isha wake up."

She groaned. "Five more minutes."

"We have to go back," he whispered.

Reluctantly, she got up, and they rushed back to the palace under the cover of night.

By the time they arrived, everyone was asleep.

Moving silently through the grand halls, they slipped into their chamber unnoticed.

The soft sound of Isha's steady breathing filled the dimly lit room. Shivansh stood near the bed, watching her for a moment, making sure she was safe, undisturbed. She had no idea where he was about to go-or what he was about to do.

He turned away, his expression cold, unreadable. Quietly, he grabbed a fresh shirt, rolling up the sleeves as he buttoned it up. By the time he stepped out of the penthouse, his demeanor had changed entirely. Gone was the teasing man she had spent the night with. In his place was the king-the man who ruled in silence but never let his enemies forget who they were dealing with.

The black SUV was already waiting. Without a word, he slid into the backseat, the driver understanding the destination without needing instruction.

The drive was silent. Tension heavy in the air. Shivansh leaned his elbow on the window, his fingers tapping against his jaw in thought. A mistake had been made today.

And now, it needed to be corrected.

The car rolled to a stop.

The location was secluded-an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Jaipur. The moment he stepped out, the night air was thick with the scent of dust and metal. A place meant for things that shouldn't see the light of day.

Shivansh entered without hesitation.

Inside, dim industrial lights flickered, casting eerie shadows against the cold concrete walls. And there, in the center of the room, tied to a chair with hands bound and a bloody lip, was Rohan.

His head was tilted downward, but at the sound of footsteps, he looked up. And when he did, his expression shifted. Fear. Anger. The moment of realization.

Behind Shivansh stood Dhruv and Ranveer. Silent. Watching.

Rohan's throat bobbed as he swallowed. "What the hell is this?"

Shivansh's lips curled into a slow, almost amused smirk. "Didn't expect this, did you?" His voice was calm. Dangerously calm.

Rohan clenched his jaw. "You-"

"Shh." One single word, but it carried weight. Authority. Shivansh took slow, deliberate steps forward, standing right in front of him. "You made a mistake today."

"I-"

A loud crack echoed in the warehouse.

Shivansh had backhanded him before he could even finish his sentence. Rohan's head snapped to the side, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

Shivansh crouched slightly, his face now at eye level with Rohan's. There was no amusement anymore. Just a quiet, lethal promise.

"You touched what's mine," he murmured. "That's not something I forgive."

Rohan coughed, glaring at him. "You think you can just-"

Another hit. This time, from Dhruv, who had stepped forward without hesitation.

Shivansh straightened, adjusting his cuffs. "I don't need to think. I know." He tilted his head. "Did you really believe I wouldn't know what kind of man you are?" His voice was almost conversational, but the threat was clear.

Rohan gritted his teeth. "Isha-"

The moment her name left his lips, Shivansh's expression darkened.

"I'd be careful about what you say next," he said quietly. Because if Rohan thought a bruised lip was the worst thing that could happen to him tonight, he was sorely mistaken.

Then Dhruv was the one who stepped closer first, cracking his knuckles as he glared at Rohan. "You really thought you could get away with touching Isha?" His voice was mocking, but the deadly intent behind it was unmistakable.

Rohan scoffed, spitting blood onto the ground. "I didn't do anything-"

Ranveer let out a dark chuckle, shaking his head. "Don't lie. We know exactly what you did." He looked at Shivansh. "Want to hear it from him, or should we remind him?"

Shivansh sighed, rolling his neck as if he were bored. Then, his gaze locked onto Rohan's, sharp as a blade. "Tell me," he said, voice dangerously calm.

Rohan hesitated, but when Dhruv grabbed the back of his chair and yanked it forward slightly, he stuttered, "I-she's beautiful, okay? I just-"

A punch landed straight to his stomach.

Rohan choked, gasping for air as Ranveer shook his head in disgust. "Wrong answer."

Shivansh crouched beside him, eyes void of emotion. "You see, people like you... you think you can touch what doesn't belong to you. You think no one will stop you." He tilted his head. "But I am not just anyone. And Isha is not for you to even look at, let alone touch."

Rohan wheezed, trying to laugh despite his pain. "You can't kill me, rana sa. There would be too many questions-"

Shivansh smirked, standing up. "And who said anything about questions?"

Dhruv and Ranveer exchanged a glance. Then, without another word, they knew what to do.

The warehouse was soundproof. The night swallowed everything.

And Rohan?

He wouldn't be a problem anymore.

The drive back was quiet. Shivansh leaned against the car seat, his expression unreadable as the streetlights passed by in a blur. Dhruv and Ranveer sat beside him, neither saying a word-there was no need.

By the time they reached a private villa on the outskirts of Jaipur, they stepped out and cleaned themselves up. A quick shower, a change of clothes, and they were new men again. Untouched by the night's events.

Once everything was taken care of, they finally returned to the palace. The grand structure stood silently in the moonlight, everyone inside fast asleep, unaware of what had just taken place.

Shivansh walked inside, his footsteps slow, calculated. He was exhausted, but he didn't show it.

His room was dimly lit when he stepped in.

And there, curled up in the bed, was Isha.

She looked so peaceful, so unaware of the storm he had just ended for her. His jaw clenched for a second, then softened as he exhaled.

Without a sound, he climbed into bed beside her.

His arms instinctively wrapped around her waist, pulling her against his chest. He buried his face into the crook of her neck, her warmth soothing him in ways nothing else could.

Isha shifted slightly, murmuring in her sleep, but didn't wake up.

Shivansh held her tighter.

No one would ever dare touch her again.

And with that silent vow, he finally let himself sleep.
