The moon that night cast a ghostly glow across the slumbering world, but for three souls, dreams blurred the veil between past and present, heaven and hell.
The Dream – Eniya
The air shifted.
Eniya found herself alone in an ancient dream—an echo from a time buried in myth.
She stood among silver ruins and burning trees, visions forming around her like smoke. The voice of the dream, deep and eternal, resonated through her soul.
"Fifty centuries ago..."
In the human realm, a girl had lived.
She was not ordinary. A radiant beauty raised in a convent, her name long forgotten. Her presence drew awe, and none knew her secret: she was no human, but an angel, left behind on Earth after her celestial parents defied the laws of heaven by falling in love and bearing a child.
Angels are not born. They are created from divine will. Her conception was treason. Her birth, a threat.
To protect themselves and the child, her parents sealed away her powers, sent her to Earth, and vanished. A human priest took her in and raised her within holy walls.
Then he came—Lucifer. The Morningstar.
She aided him, not knowing who he was. When he offered her a single wish, she asked, "What does it feel like to love?"
He laughed—softly, sorrowfully. Then he granted her desire.
She became pregnant.
By the eighth month, the seal cracked. Light and darkness warred inside her. She fled into the forest, unable to withstand the pain. There, alone, she gave birth.
The child—Morningstar's son—drained her life. As angels descended to erase her existence, she used her final strength to place her baby at an orphanage.
She named him Morningstar, after the meaning of his father's name—the only legacy she could pass on.
What the Dream Did Not Repeat
The events of Ezra's origin and Morningstar's reunion with his memories had happened before. The dream did not bring them again. It moved forward.
The dream revealed something new:
Lucifer had not died in battle. He was ambushed on his way back to Hell.
Archangel Michael led the strike, with help from those once close to Lucifer—including his own brother, who had turned traitor. Fearing the union between Lucifer and the mortal-born angel, and what their child might become, they used her as bait.
Morningstar's mother had unknowingly triggered a celestial war. His death had been plotted long ago.
But Eniya remembered holding him as he lay dying.
"In our next lives, we will rise again. We will take the gates of Hell. We will break the seals they placed on our destiny."
And then, the dream showed her the ancient prophecy:
"When realms collide and darkness reigns,
The blood of light and shadow shall unite in flames.
A fallen king's legacy, a son's burden to bear,
The mantle of power, he shall declare.
Two hearts, once separate, now entwined in fate,
The king of shadows and the elven heart create.
Together they shall rise, their bond the key,
To wield the power, to set the worlds free.
Through war and strife, they'll forge their might,
And from the ashes, a new dawn shall take flight."
Morning – Eniya's House
Eniya woke with tears in her eyes. Her heart pounded. She ran into the living room, where her father stood over a kettle.
"Dad," she said breathlessly. "I had a dream… about him. About the prophecy."
Her father turned slowly, pale.
"It's begun," he whispered.
"It was the same prophecy I told you when I was a kid. But now it's… clearer."
He hesitated. Then walked to the cupboard and retrieved an ancient book, thick with dust.
"I wasn't going to open this again," he said, "but place your hand on it."
She obeyed.
The book clicked open. Light pulsed from within.
Her father's face went pale. "So… it's true. You've touched his presence."
"Whose?" she asked.
He stared into her eyes.
"The devil himself."
Elsewhere – Morningstar
He sat in darkness, surrounded by silence. His hands trembled.
The dream had unlocked a memory long buried.
"I remember now," he murmured. "I loved her. I lost her. And now... she's returned."
He looked upward, determination igniting in his eyes.
"This time, I will win."
And her mandate... will reign.
