I woke up the next morning and immediately thought about Yugito. She had been quite nice the past few days until that happened, 'that' being the outburst she had while trying to control her demonic chakra.
Tsumugi woke up first today and picked me up out of the crib before taking me downstairs. It was barely 5 in the morning, but she got up and started working, I had a newfound respect for her and the things she did, always putting forward what we needed before herself.
I shook off that train of thought before it started going sour from my previous life's memories draining into my mind. I walked over to the front door and knocked twice, wanting to go out and get started on training early. Tsumugi popped her head around the corner and picked me up. "Oh no you don't mister. You are staying here until Yuta comes to supervise you." She said in a mock commanding tone. In response I tried my best to pout as a mentally 34-year-old man which didn't work at all as she went around tidying up things from the previous night.
Time passed very slowly while I was bored but I would soon cherish those moments as I grew older to face the struggles of war, love and death.
Most people's first thoughts when transported into the Narutoverse is how they will deal with the Akatsuki, Obito and Madara's plan and the eventual rebirth of Kaguya if they were to fail. These things didn't really matter since I knew I had no power as a shinobi of Kumo rather than Konoha where the main events would take place.
My goal right now was to survive the third war since I would surely be placed on a battlefield after I graduated if the battle was still going on during then. Then my mind came across a funny thought, what if I was to seal a bijuu inside of myself? The 8 and 2 tails were off the board since that was my adoptive father and surrogate sister I would have to kill, but the others were also a hard thing to do. Starting from the weakest, the one tails would be in Wind country at this point probably roaming around without a jinchurikii making it an easy target, but it was in the sand where it was most powerful and also would drive me insane. The 3 tails is inside of Yagura, a kage level fighter. 4 tails was with Roshi who would be on the front lines right now, 5 tails in much of the same situation. Utakata was easy pickings, but it was hard to find him with the civil war going on. Choumei, the seven tails was in Taki during shippuden and I could possibly take that. Finally, Kurama, he was stuck inside of Kushina who is impossible to get to without angering a certain flashy blonde man. I could sweep in during the invasion though, hmmmmm, thoughts for later.
So, my choices from highest to lowest were:
Choumei
Saiken
Shukaku
Son Goku
Kokuo
Isobu
Matatabi
Gyuki
Kurama
This didn't mean I had to seal a bijuu into myself, but it would be a nice prospect and lead to some S rank training partners, as stupid as that sounds. I could always just wait until a jinchurikii died or killed one myself and sealed the bijuu after a few years but that would be too long.
For now, though, I shoved that thought aside and focused on techniques I would like to master over the next few years and put them in a list. I knew I couldn't have everything but with my system and my knowledge of the techniques it should be fine.
For starters I wanted to pick up a weapon of any sort, the extra reach and finesse weapons had put it far above simple kunai fighting which I was used to in the series. Next, I would like to potentially create some of my own jutsu, simple in theory but it would take years in practice. Finally, for the main three was to unlock my blood limit and master it to a point where it could stand up to the sharingan or byakugan in battle.
Some other miscellaneous things I want to do over my second life were:
Create a fighting style
Master my weapon
Master my element to be on par with Tobirama with water release
Travel around the continent and see all the places I knew from the original series
See what was inside of the guest bedroom in B's house
The list goes on with the usual 'Be the strongest or whatever'. I was dragged out of my thoughts when I remembered what was in my inventory. I pulled out a stack of paper and tore off a piece of the top sheet, storing the rest in my inventory. Since I had my chakra unlocked, I should be able to use it right?
I channelled a small amount chakra through the sheet, and it crimpled together before the corner turned to dust slightly, lightning primary and earth secondary off of birth was quite nice. Lightning was common in the land of lightning but earth not as much, I could already think of all the jutsu I could use but I was dragged out of my musings by Yuta coming down the stairs while yawning without a care in the world.
He walked over to where I was on the couch and sighed, "Alright you little monster. Time for training!" He said in an excited tone.
As he carried me out a huge screen popped up in my line of sight.
"Quest complete!"
"You have completed all normal and hidden objectives for the quest 'Impress Yuta!'"
"Your rewards are being calculated now!"
"You have received; Chakra control stat, 5 skill voucher, 300 ryo. For your completion of objective 1 and a further 100 ryo, 1 skill voucher, 50 reputation with 'Nii Yuta' and 'Nii Tsumugi' for your completion of objective 2!"
"You have completed both hidden objectives! First hidden objective: unlock skill 'leaf chakra exercise' and complete the task without completely relying on the skill. Second hidden objective: Inspire Yuta to put more effort into you!"
"With both of these objectives being completed you have gained…
Title: Natural, Scroll for Lightning style: Light bulb, 500 ryo, 2x 5 skill voucher and 2 stats to chakra control!"
'Holy fuck' Was all I could think before I was placed on the ground to start training. With renewed vigor I began sticking the leaf to my forehead with some ease and after a minute and ten seconds I dropped it. '10 seconds increase with the new stats and levels. Nice' I thought before replacing it on my head.
While I used the skill for smaller gains I pulled up my status screen.

All this and I only needed 2 more skill levels to level up. My 'basic chakra exercises' skill was levelling up quite slowly compared to the leaf exercise. It was currently August 27th so I could pick up a new lottery soon and also Yuta's birthday was on the 8th, at least that's what the calendar said.
After I closed the screen, I saw Yugito coming off of the porch on my left side and walking over to Yuta, who was laying on his hammock until I needed him. Apparently, they had a fruitful conversation since Yugito had a happy look on her face as she sat down next to me. "Hey Shin. What are you doing?" She said, with a confused look on her face until I pointed at my head, where the leaf was sitting.
"Oh, pff you're doing the easy stuff. I could do that in my sleep." Yugito said while looking away with her arms crossed. She turned back around, and I flicked my pointer finger towards myself in a 'come at me' gesture.
She huffed and walked over to the tree. "I have been doing this for a year now Shin, this is way too easy for me!" She exclaimed while patting down her shorts before sitting down in a cross-legged pose.
She positioned the leaf on her head and applied chakra to make it stick. Only for the leaf to burst into flames much to her chagrin, while I snickered into my head with the leaf still hanging.
"I can do it okay! Just need to get into the zone" She murmured while grabbing another one. Yuta closed his book with a flick and stood in front of us "Want to make a competition out of it?" He said in a mocking tone towards Yugito while smirking.
"Alright fine! If I can keep it on for longer, Shin has to do the dishes for a week!" She exclaimed while puffing out her chest at the grand stakes we were making.
"Yugi, Shin is less than 2 years old he can't do that. But I shall do both your and my parts of the dishes for a month if he can't keep it on longer." Yuta said before putting his hand to his chin to think of a good response.
A metaphorical lightbulb flickered in his head, and he exclaimed "Aha! If he can keep it on for longer than you. You can't eat fish for a week!" Yugito looked very scared at his great punishment.
"Fine! I know I'll win anyways." She said as Yuta put his hand out and they shook on the deal.
"Ready, set, GO!" Yuta exclaimed and we both put the leaves to out heads, sticking them on.
As the seconds kept going up past 30, I was cool as a cucumber, to my left however, Yugito was looking up at the leaf while sweating, trying to keep it on at all costs.
To further add to Yuta's amusement, I stood up and walked around her in a circle. At 50 seconds she had reached her limit and the leaf burnt to a crisp. I sat back down for the rest of my 20 seconds before it slowly fell down to the ground.
Yuta was laughing his ass off while his daughter was stifling a cry with tears building up in the corners of her eyes. I got off my ass and went up to her from the side, since I was technically 34 this was quite awkward, but I fit my arms around her in a hug to which she begrudgingly returned with a small smile.
Tsumugi came out and saw our embrace, with a cooing tone she said "Aww! How cute." Before we split apart with Yuta laughing even harder than before. He picked me up to head inside and said, "You are too young to be embarrassed Shin!" In response, I put chakra into my hand and punched the shit out of him as hard as I could. It cocked him in the cheek before he laughed even harder at my barely noticed punch.
We had a happy breakfast that morning and after that Yuta got a call of some kind, he brought Tsumugi with him and outside the house. He soon came back in with a forced calm look on his face. "Shin, I need to speak to you privately." He said before dragging me out of the kitchen and into the front yard. Outside I turned around to Yuta who had a grim expression on his face. "Shin are you one of them?" He said with a venomous tone. I tilted my head as to what he was talking about before he got close and started yelling at me. "ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE PINK EYED FREAKS?" He shouted right in my face as Yugito came out to see what was wrong. She grabbed onto her dad's shirt as he looked away from me.
"Yugi, please go back inside. Shin has done something very wrong and will not be staying with us anymore." He said in a calm almost patronising tone as he tried to push her back inside.
"No! I want to know!" She screamed as Yuta started to lose his patience.
"Fine! You can watch how we, true kumo shinobi, deal with things like him." He yelled back, brandishing a kunai from his pouch and turning back towards me.
"I'm sorry it has to be this way Shin, but your clan has done too much wrong to be allowed to exist. Your bloodline must be purged and remembered as the devils you are." He said in an ice-cold tone, looking past my shocked face towards the cliff edge as to not hesitate.
He brought down his weapon and stabbed straight through… his own daughter. Yugito's blood splattered over my face, and I could see the tip of the kunai through her body.
