Chapter 108 - Danath

The next morning, Galen prepared everything. After meeting his father in the palace, he arrived at the church entrance, waiting for the Archbishop and his entourage.

While waiting, Galen made a special gesture, and a man in leather armor ran over from the street corner. This was Galen's overt intelligence agent, a person registered with Stromgarde's city defense forces.

He handed the man a sealed letter, telling him to deliver it as quickly as possible to Danath Trollbane, who had been transferred to watch over the new farm in the Arathi Basin, inviting him to reach his territory, Minas Tirith, as soon as possible.

"Brother Danath, remember the profession I mentioned to you, one that can fight, resist, and recover? Minas Tirith, be sure to arrive!"

Danath was a good comrade, and even more so, his own clan brother, someone close to him. Now that there was such a good thing as becoming a paladin, of course, he had to call him along. Don't you think it would be interesting to have Danath call him 'Senior Brother of the Holy Light?'

Before long, the Archbishop and his party were ready to depart. Galen noticed that in their team, besides the four initial candidates, there were also several hundred strong and powerful priests. The Archbishop was planning to complete the paladin conversion and the formation of the Order of the Silver Hand in one go.

The church district was right at the city gate of Stromgarde. The team left the city gate of Stromgarde, passed through Valorcall, and after crossing Thistlefur Village, they left the Royal Road and turned southeast. The Archbishop, inside a carriage with a Slow Fall spell and a Constant Temperature magic applied, followed them as they galloped on horseback all the way. The hundreds of priests behind them were also skilled in martial arts and were fully capable of keeping up with the team's speed.

Five days later, they saw a white city wall in the distance at the end of the plain. Minas Tirith, they had arrived.

The patrol team cleared the way for Galen and his party at the city gate until they entered the city. Alonsus opened the carriage curtain. This was his second time in Minas Tirith, and this time, he experienced the changes in Minas Tirith.

The first time he came to this city, he only felt that the streets here were straight and clean, and the houses were neat and uniform. Apart from the lack of popularity, there were no other shortcomings. After all, he heard that this city had just been established, so it was normal for there not to be too many residents.

Stepping into Minas Tirith again after two months, it was still the clean and hygienic streets, the neatly planned houses, only with more pedestrians coming and going.

These new residents were all devout believers in the Holy Light. Originally, they lived in various parts of the Arathi Highlands. Minas Tirith had built a new Holy Light Cathedral, and Aragorn was personally blessed by the Archbishop and promoted to Bishop. Minas Tirith had become the general diocese of the Arathi region. At the same time, thousands of arcane temple priests were evangelizing, and promoting Galen's favorable settlement policies, attracting a large number of believers to move their families and settle in Minas Tirith.

In the courtyard of the cathedral, Aragorn had been waiting for a long time. Danath stood beside Aragorn, waiting for Galen and his party to arrive together.

Products of the system are definitely high-quality goods, and as a unique system building, the cathedral is the best of the best. It covers a vast area, and even after hundreds of priests entered the church, it did not appear crowded. Moreover, in addition to the Holy Light emblem on the church gate, which had been blessed by everyone, the entire interior of the church was filled with an aura of Holy Light that made people feel peaceful and tranquil.

Galen suddenly thought that after the Legion finished fighting the gnolls, he had obtained a lottery draw. It would be awesome if he could draw a new production building.

Coming back to his senses, Galen introduced Danath to the Archbishop.

"Archbishop, this is Danath Trollbane, a member of the Stromgarde royal family, a highly skilled warrior, and also a devout believer."

Danath was dumbfounded after hearing Galen's introduction. When did I become a devout believer? I am a warrior with firm beliefs!

Galen was immediately annoyed by Danath's expression. Hmph, I'm promoting you into the ranks of the initial paladin candidates, don't ruin the introduction.

Galen couldn't wait to hit Danath in the face with a Hammer of Justice. Danath seemed to have noticed Galen's man-eating gaze. Years of tacit understanding made him immediately adjust his expression and respectfully say to the Archbishop: "Good day, Archbishop!"

"Good day, Danath."

After Galen waited for the two to greet each other, he continued: "Archbishop, I would like to recommend Danath to participate in the paladin's baptism together. I wonder what you think?"

Upon hearing this, the Archbishop carefully sized up Danath. His eyes were firm, his face was rugged and stern, his spirit was full, and his physique was tall and strong. He was indeed a good candidate to become a paladin. At the same time, he was also a member of the royal family, and converting to the Holy Light was also a kind of promotion for the Holy Light Church.

The Archbishop nodded with satisfaction. This ceremony was presided over by Aragorn, and he had no reason to refuse. "Do as you wish, child."

Galen nodded, and Danath's class change was settled. This was actually an exchange, but both sides got what they needed, and everyone was happy. Galen understood that these four paladin candidates would not be available to his subordinates.

Although these four were all disciples of the Archbishop, in reality, apart from this identity, they came from different backgrounds. Uther was a confidant of the King of Lordaeron and could not be loyal to Galen. The young Old Buddha Tirion was the Grand Lord of Hearthglen, a famous knight with real power, and it was impossible for him to abandon his fertile land in Westweald and come all the way to be loyal to a prince of another country. Dathrohan, it was said, was a prominent figure in Stratholme. Except for Turalyon, who came from a common background, the other three were all based in Lordaeron.

As the saying goes, the Holy Light has no borders, but priests have borders, and paladins also have borders.

It wasn't that the Archbishop didn't see these things, but he was the Archbishop, and Stratholme was the holy city of the church, and the diocese was in Lordaeron. This was an irreversible fact. Therefore, between fame and fortune, he chose to let Galen gain fame, a diocese in the Arathi region and the title of Bishop Aragorn, plus the title of the first-generation paladin from Stromgarde this time.

There is one more thing, it's not that Galen didn't ask for Danath's opinion, but the future situation would not allow Danath to continue to believe in the way of the warrior.

This is the real world, and there is no professional balance in the game. Even in the game, there is no complete balance. For example, in the last version, when farming the Torghast, Tower of the Damned, the warrior was not as popular as the hunter's clefthoof. Galen also specially caught a pair of clefthoof babies.

In the world of Azeroth, Galen believed that Danath had a brighter future as a paladin than continuing to be a warrior. The future enemies were the demon army and the undead army. The Holy Light had a restraining effect on them. If Danath was trapped in Draenor after the explosion like in the original timeline, he would be more than capable of facing the demon's attack as a paladin.

The ceremony was scheduled to take place inside the cathedral. Aragorn and the Archbishop went together to prepare the items needed for the ceremony.

Galen took the time to explain the characteristics of the paladin profession to Danath, so that he could change his mindset and not reject this class change ceremony.

According to the Archbishop's intention, the five people who were changing classes needed to fast for three days and pray inside the cathedral to cleanse their souls. Galen, who had already autonomously awakened the power of the paladin, had nothing to do for these three days, just waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Three days passed, and on the morning of the fourth day, in the presence of hundreds of priests, the baptism ceremony for the paladin class change officially began.

Everyone knows that devout faith is the key to becoming a paladin. After this success, it will be the turn of these hundreds of strong priests to be baptized. The Archbishop has already told Galen that he is preparing to form a Holy Light Church's Paladin Order.

A knight order composed of transformed paladins!
