Chapter 104 - Mulgore

The return scroll's teleportation ability was similar to a group teleportation experience. After a dizzying sensation of weightlessness, Galen led a group of tauren to the future site of Thunder Bluff. The teleportation point was an outpost Galen had deployed in advance.

The future tauren capital, Thunder Bluff, was built on four towering cliff platforms. At this moment, Galen and his group were standing on the largest platform.

This was a peak platform nearly ten kilometers wide. To reach it from the ground required flying mounts or magic. Later, the tauren chose to build elevators when they established their city here.

Around the large platform were three smaller platforms, which could be connected with three suspension bridges. Galen estimated that these four platforms could accommodate 200,000 people without any problems.

At this moment, Cairne and Hamuul were carefully observing this land. It was a verdant expanse, and with their strength, being at a high vantage point, they could see the mountains surrounding this grassland basin at a glance. It was truly surrounded by mountains, easy to defend and difficult to attack.

Moreover, there was a huge lake to the south, its surface shimmering under the sunlight. On the grassland, they could faintly see the figures of striders and plains lions moving about.

Galen waited for a while, letting them stand on the edge of the cliff and carefully observe this land, until a look of infatuation appeared on Hamuul's face. Galen finally spoke.

"Welcome to Mulgore! The new home that the Earthmother has prepared for the Tauren!"

"Mulgore!" Hamuul seemed a little dazed after hearing Galen's words. "Praise the Earthmother, praise the sun An'she!"

At this time, Cairne saw Galen's confusion and said, "Mulgore, in the language of our Tauren, represents the supreme and safe. All of this is truly the guidance of the Earthmother. Thank you, Galen!"

Unexpectedly, it was a fortunate coincidence. Galen had never thought that the name Mulgore in the game he played in his previous life had such a meaning. It was normal that he didn't know. When the game first launched, the Horde had already been established. Galen only knew that the orc capital Orgrimmar was to commemorate the former orc warchief Orgrim, and Durotar was to commemorate Thrall's father, the former Frostwolf chieftain Durotan.

The tauren were not the protagonists in the storyline, so who would delve into the origins of the tauren starting map's name?

"Chieftain Cairne, are you satisfied with this land?" Galen wanted to settle the tauren as soon as possible. He had been away for quite some time. It was already November, and he wanted to return to Stromgarde before the new year to participate in the kingdom's New Year celebrations.

"Please call me Cairne, Galen. This land is a gift from the Earthmother. The revival of the tauren will begin here. We Tauren will forever remember your friendship!" Cairne looked at Galen and said with a serious expression.

Galen was secretly delighted. He had put in so much effort just to get the tauren on his chariot. He had given them such great help. With the tauren's character, this was a sure thing.

"Mulgore is not completely without danger. To the south, there are a large number of gnolls entrenched. To the southeast, there is a place called the Razorfen Downs, where quilboar are rampant. On the high mountains to the north and south, the harpies of the Windfury tribe are also not easy to deal with. The Tauren must not be careless!"

Galen still had to warn them. After all, even thirty years later, the tauren had not solved the three wild monster forces entrenched in Mulgore. There was even an additional force that violently mined resources, the Venture Co.

When Galen played his tauren alt, he had dealt with these forces quite a bit and had some understanding of them. At the very least, they tied up a lot of the tauren's energy.

"The Tauren love peace and are willing to share this land with them. If they dare to harm my people, then they will bear the wrath of the Tauren!" Cairne was very confident in the combat power of his people. The centaurs were only able to suppress the Tauren because of their numerical advantage. Coming to a new land, Cairne felt that he could do it again. He could fight a hundred gnolls and quilboar.

"The bravery of the Tauren is known to all. So, Cairne, what are you going to do with the remaining people? Should I help teleport them, or will you walk over yourselves?" Galen no longer mentioned the gnolls, quilboar, and harpies. Only after experiencing them firsthand would one know how difficult these races were to deal with. He turned to discuss the tauren migration with Cairne.

"Galen, do you have any ideas?" Cairne thought for a while and chose to ask Galen's opinion first. He would usually only discuss with Hamuul and a group of trusted chieftains, but now he chose to ask Galen, indicating that he had already regarded Galen as a true messenger of the Earthmother and acknowledged his friendship.

"I have a magical item, the kind I just used, that can instantly teleport most people from their original location to a pre-set location." Galen recommended the return scroll to Cairne and Hamuul.

"I just don't know how many Tauren there are?"

As for the magical ability that had instantly changed his location, even if Cairne didn't understand magic, he knew that it was a very precious magical item. Galen's choice to use precious magical tools to ensure the safe migration of his people moved him, and he silently remembered this kindness.

"Galen, there are more than 900,000 Tauren in total. Magical items are too precious. We already know the location of Mulgore, so let the people walk over!"

Cairne also knew that teleporting 900,000 tauren was a huge project. Even using a legion-level teleportation gate would only teleport tens of thousands of troops, but the Tauren were an entire race, and the number was too large.

Galen silently calculated that even if a return scroll teleported a thousand tauren, 900,000 would require 900 return scrolls. He really couldn't take out that many return scrolls at once, but he did have a few hundred. When the time came, he could have the tauren squeeze together and stand within the range of the return scroll, and he could still bring a portion over first, especially the elderly, weak, women, and children, tauren without combat power, who were likely to die on the migration route.

After thinking for a while, Galen still insisted on his idea: "Cairne, I can't take out magical tools that can teleport the entire Tauren over, but I can provide a portion to let the old cows and calves in the tribe who don't have much combat power teleport over first, and then choose a legion to come and protect them, and start building a new home. What do you think?"

This suggestion made Cairne and Hamuul's group's eyes light up. Their migration route had been filled with blood, and they didn't know how many people had fallen on the road, most of whom were the frail and children. If they could let them come over directly, and they would lead the remaining warriors to migrate on foot, this would indeed ensure the highest survival rate.

"Galen, then thank you. Great kindness is beyond words. We Tauren will always stand by your side!"

That was the sentence he was waiting for. Although Galen regarded the tauren as friends, it was impossible for him to give unilaterally. He also needed the tauren's help, so that they could maintain a long-term relationship by taking what they needed.

"I have a city in the Barrens, about five days' journey from the exit of Mulgore. When you are settled, I will provide you with food and some necessities, and you should build your new home as soon as possible, especially these high platforms under your feet, and the Mulgore valley gate, which are related to the fate of you Tauren!"

After the discussion, he took Cairne and the others back to the original camp and left them with hundreds of return scrolls with the destination set.

Galen left the tauren camp. He had been away from Galen's Landing for too long, and Gandalf had not sent him too much information. He didn't know how Graypelt's progress was with the Razormane tribe.

He had to deploy the strategy for the Barrens as soon as possible and return to the Eastern Kingdoms. The latest news had come from the Dark Division over there.
