Chapter 102 - Miracle

"This is the power of the Sun God. Does this prove that I am a messenger of the God An'she?"

Unable to contain his excitement, the young Bull Tauren Dezco's face was filled with conviction. Even his father only showed superficial composure, with a fiery excitement in his eyes.

"You... messenger... we..."

The young Bull Tauren Dezco began to speak incoherently. His father was more composed; years of experience allowed him to control his emotions.

"Messenger of the Gods!" The Chieftain respectfully performed a Tauren salute to Galen. Seeing this, Dezco also respectfully saluted.

"Mm."

Galen nodded calmly. At this moment, the Tauren's respect was earned through Galen's own efforts—nearly twenty thousand units of gold, real gold and silver, bought with money! His money!

"Gather the bodies of the fallen Tauren warriors, for the Sun God An'she is about to bestow a miracle!" Galen said with a solemn expression, echoing the holy light radiating from his body, a contemporary charlatan in every sense of the word.

Hearing Galen's words, the Chieftain looked pleasantly surprised, as if he had guessed something. He returned to his people with anticipation, leading them to gather their fallen brothers.

Galen stayed on the hilltop, pretending to be profound, while Dezco stayed by Galen's side. Dezco felt somewhat ashamed of his earlier impatience and incoherence. The newly promoted Tauren Paladin was known for his honesty and gentleness, not for his eloquence or flattery. For a moment, he didn't know what to say to the Sun God's messenger, so he could only scratch his head awkwardly.

Galen, however, wanted to chat with this future paragon among the Sunwalkers, to build a relationship. However, he had just put on a show and didn't want to ruin his mysterious facade.

It seemed as if a crow flew across the sky, cawing.

The scene fell into silence.

Sunchaser's actions were quick, and the Chieftain's arrival rescued Galen, who was almost unable to hold back. He stood motionless, without changing his posture, mainly because he was feeling incredibly awkward inside.

Galen followed Sunchaser and his son towards the open space where the Tauren corpses were laid out. The other Tauren seemed to have heard some news from their Chieftain. They all made way for the three of them, their expressions excited and their eyes full of anticipation.

Galen walked to the front of the displayed Tauren corpses and stood still.

"Warriors of the Tauren, the Earth Mother protects you. As a messenger of the Sun God, I have witnessed your bravery. An'she does not allow brave Tauren to be sacrificed by the vile Centaur. Now is the time to witness the miracle of the Sun God!"

Galen first stimulated the holy light within his body to set the stage, making it magnificent and solemn, while fully consuming the holy light within him.

This would let the Tauren know that Galen was paying a great price for using such a large-scale divine spell, that he was doing his best. Then, he used the resurrection spell of the pay-to-win Paladin Aragorn.

The entire valley shone with golden light. Some of the Tauren couldn't bear it and covered their eyes with their hands, while a group of extremely devout Tauren, led by Dezco, widened their cow-like eyes, unwilling to miss any detail, even as the light stung their eyes and brought them to tears.

The dense holy light healed all the wounds of the fallen Tauren, and then a strong force of attraction forcibly pulled the souls that had just departed back into their original bodies.

The light in the valley dissipated. The Tauren who had been lying on the ground sat up, their faces filled with the dazedness of just waking up. They scratched their heads in confusion, wondering how they had come back to life. Then, they looked around and saw a circle of their tribesmen looking at the scene with fervent expressions. Not understanding the situation, they immediately got up and returned to their familiar relatives and friends.

Galen, having finished the resurrection spell, made a successful exit. He knew that Chieftain Sunchaser would take the initiative to contact him. He was now a messenger of the Sun God and needed to be reserved.

"Messenger of the Gods, thank you for your divine spell that saved my people. The Sunchaser tribe will forever remember your kindness!" The old Chieftain, seeing that Galen had finished casting the spell, stepped forward to talk to him.

"I am a messenger of An'she. It is my duty to help the Tauren warriors. I will prove the truth of my words with my actions," Galen said seriously. He sincerely wanted to get the Tauren on his chariot, and as allies who would watch out for each other, not as cannon fodder.

"You have already gained the trust of the Sunchaser. We believe that you are a messenger of An'she. The Earth Mother's protection has allowed us to meet you in times of crisis!" The old Chieftain had no doubts. The power of the Sun God within him still made him feel warm all over. And the tribesmen who had been lying on the ground just now were all resurrected. If this wasn't a miracle, what else could it be?

"Very well, it seems that I don't need to waste any more words. My name is Galen Trollbane. The Earth Mother knows that the Tauren are in dire straits and has sent me to help you find a new home!"

Galen once again dropped a bombshell. The Tauren's migration had been going on for several years. Their strongest warrior, Cairne Bloodhoof, had united all the tribes and led them out of the Barrens, their home, with his powerful strength.

"A new home, have you found one?" The old Chieftain was a little excited. He had been assigned by the Tauren High Chieftain Cairne to lead this team to explore the road ahead and find new paths. There were several such teams, after all, it was related to the fate of the entire tribe. The migration team had a large number of elderly, young, and women, so they had to act carefully.

"Take me to see Cairne Bloodhoof and Hamuul Runetotem!" Galen felt that the prestige of the Sunchaser's old Chieftain was not enough to influence the entire tribe, so it would be better to use him as a stepping stone to persuade the current High Chieftain Cairne Bloodhoof.

The old Chieftain, who completely believed in Galen, didn't think about how Galen knew two of the three great Tauren masters. This must be the guidance of An'she.

The old Chieftain reorganized the team and respectfully invited Galen to follow them to the location of the main Tauren force.

Galen followed the Sunchaser's main force on the road, and on the way, he recalled his information on Cairne Bloodhoof.

Cairne Bloodhoof is the Chieftain of the Bloodhoof tribe. Through his powerful combat power, his prestige among all Tauren is unmatched. Even the Druid Hamuul and the Grimtotem shaman Magatha, who are also of legendary rank, cannot compare. Therefore, Cairne was recommended by the Tauren to become the Tauren High Chieftain.

Cairne, with his prestige and personality, and with the help of the Druid leader Hamuul, fully promoted the Tauren's entire tribe migration plan, leaving the Barrens and avoiding the Tauren being wiped out by the five Centaur tribes.

After all, that was a race with five legends sitting in command. The Tauren only had three legends in their entire race, and their numbers were not dominant. Galen felt that Cairne had made the right choice. Only by preserving strength could they find an opportunity to turn the tables. It was not possible to be blinded by hatred and charge recklessly.

And at this time, the Tauren's departure from the Barrens was indeed the right choice. Of the five Centaur tribes, only the strongest one chose to pursue the Tauren. This tribe was the Kolkar tribe, led by their legendary Khan Drek'Thar, pursuing the migrating Tauren all the way.

Galen felt that this Drek'Thar Khan had the spirit of Alexander the Great, King of Macedonia, pursuing the Tauren all the way from the westernmost Barrens of Kalimdor, looting the creatures along the way, and directly killing through the entire continent, reaching the Eastern Barrens in the east, with their figures all over the central part of the continent.

Thinking all the way about the quest lines I had done in Kalimdor when I played a Horde alt in my previous life, looking for clues about the Centaur.

Finally, they reached the camp where the main Tauren force was located.
