Chapter 98 - Boaring

The largest power living in the Barrens is the quilboar tribe. In this place, there are three quilboar tribes living.

Occupying the north is a tribe called the Bristleback quilboar. From the image depicted by James, this is a porcupine-like quilboar tribe and also the strongest force in the north.

The middle of the Barrens is occupied by a tribe called the Razormane quilboar. They often have friction with the Bristleback tribe in the north, frequently fighting until their pig brains are spilling out. The relationship between the two tribes is not good, which may be a good breakthrough.

Galen vaguely remembers receiving a quest called 'Quilboar Civil War' in the Barrens before, which described the perennial war between the Bristleback and Razormane tribes. However, the two tribes were evenly matched, and neither could do anything to the other, so they started to play dirty tricks, pretending that the other side attacked their tribe's caravan, framing each other and playing it skillfully.

The most powerful part of the quilboar lives inside Razorfen Downs in the far south. That place is covered with thorns. Legend has it that the quilboar demigod fought against the Burning Legion ten thousand years ago and died in the valley where Razorfen Downs is located.

During the process of the quilboar demigod's death in battle, blood flowed out. Where the blood flowed, vines grew wildly, thus forming the current Razorfen Downs. Later, a group of quilboar, led by the Death's Head tribe, claimed to be descendants of the quilboar demigod Agamaggan and directly occupied this place, regarding it as a sacred place.

Regardless of whether the quilboar are descendants of the demigod Agamaggan, the quilboar have now become synonymous with barbarism and backwardness in Azeroth. Because of the deterioration of the living environment, in order to seize food and land resources, their relationship with the surrounding races has gradually deteriorated. Slowly, they have become ferocious and warlike, ruining the reputation of their ancestor Agamaggan.

This is a race with an even worse reputation than the trolls, also with a glorious history, whose ancestors shed blood and made contributions for Azeroth, but unfortunately, the descendants are disappointing.

The Death's Head tribe is also a relatively special tribe. The leader is a female quilboar named Kalga Spinebreaker. The reason why it is said to be special is because the rules of the quilboar clan are very simple, only one: women and children must obey adult male quilboar, and male quilboar obey the chieftain. And Kalga is a high-level quilboar shaman who became the chieftain of the Death's Head tribe with her strong strength.

She is also a restless person. In the future, she will collude with the Scourge, trying to restore the glory of the ancient quilboar, and be killed by the warriors of the Alliance and the Horde in the quilboar's capital, Razorfen Kraul.

In addition to the quilboar, there are already sporadic centaur of the Kolkar tribe coming to the Barrens. They are the main force chasing the tauren and the strongest of the four centaur tribes.

However, at this moment, most of the centaur are still in the Desolace. The tauren leader, Cairne Bloodhoof, has only recently come of age and has not yet led the tauren to migrate and find a new home. The centaur have not yet chased all the way, and their footprints have not yet spread throughout the Barrens.

Finally, intelligence shows that there is another alien race living in the Barrens. In the northwest corner, there is a valley called Waterless Ridge, where a group of harpies live. Compared with the quilboar, the harpy's power is much smaller. They are led by a harpy queen named Sereena Bloodfeather.

Due to the relatively small population size and combat power, it is difficult to launch organized attacks like the quilboar and centaur, but they will adopt guerrilla harassment tactics to plunder caravans, which is very annoying.

It is rumored that they are a group of elves cursed by Queen Azshara, with sinister and cunning personalities, but their image is extremely similar to the human form of the raven demigod Aviana in ancient times, so the reason for this situation is unknown. Only by asking the raven demigod can we have a chance to know the truth.

Secondly, harpies have no males and like to kidnap males of other races as mates. Hearing this, are the corners of your mouths raised? Are some people giggling?

Unfortunately, the harpy's mates are not used for mating, but for eating, because harpies reproduce asexually. Unexpected, surprise? Exciting?

The above is the entire power distribution of the Barrens. As a land with access to all directions, if you want to defend it, you need to set up checkpoints on its several main roads to increase the strength of the defense.

Legend has it that before ancient times, this large area was once a lush forest, under the protection of the night elves and the descendants of the nature demigods. Later, the Great Sundering shook the entire bedrock of primordial Kalimdor, and this fertile forest eventually became a plain scorched by the sun all day long, and the natural ecology began to degrade.

Although it is called the Barrens, under its land full of exposed red rocks, there are rich mineral deposits, as well as large areas of grassy grassland, supporting a large number of giraffes, savannah lions, cheetahs, and striders.

Among them, the four oases are the most important. As long as you control these four oases, you control the water supply of the entire area, which is also Galen's ultimate goal.

In the northeast direction, Galen remembers that there is a rich oil field, which was later occupied by the Venture Co. goblins. Now, it is the resource point of Duke Galen.

Galen has four legions in his hands. It's not a problem to sweep most of the Barrens, but that's the worst strategy.

Just because the Bristleback tribe and the Razormane tribe are at odds, Galen can think of sowing discord, using wolves to devour tigers, two tigers fighting, distant friendship and close attack, and finally turning the guest into the host. Your territory is mine!

As for distant friendship and close attack, Galen is preparing to support the Razormane tribe and suppress the Bristleback tribe.

According to intelligence, the Bristleback tribe is rich in warriors. Their strength is much stronger than the Razormane tribe, and there is a rare ore called Blood Shard in the Razormane tribe's territory.

Legend has it that this ore is a magical gem evolved from the blood of the quilboar demigod Agamaggan sprinkled on the land of the Barrens. Touching the Blood Shard can bring powerful power to the quilboar.

This unique ore allows the Razormane tribe to barely contend with the Bristleback tribe. The powerful effect of the Blood Shard makes the Bristleback quilboar even more eager to occupy the Razormane's territory. They also want to obtain this powerful source of power.

Their struggle has been going on for many years, and the relationship is irreconcilable.

In the town hall, Galen put away the intelligence and nodded approvingly to James. Galen could feel the smiling expression under his mask.

His intelligence is very detailed. Combining Galen's memory of the quilboar's quest line, he can feel its accuracy. In a strange place, surrounded by alien races, James can do the intelligence work so well, which shows his talent in spying on military intelligence.

James is considered to have entered the candidate list for the Minister of Dark Affairs. The Eastern Continent is the home of humans. If the achievements of the Dark Affairs team there are not as good as James's side, then Galen will directly promote James, this talent.

The next thing is to send envoys. Galen is preparing to support the Razormane tribe against the Bristleback.

The strength of the Bristleback is hard power. The Razormane tribe can barely resist, relying on the Blood Shard and the support of the Death's Head tribe in the south, which is soft power.

Moreover, Galen remembers that the Bristleback's power is not only in the North Barrens, but they also occupy a large area of land in the East Barrens. First, take them down, so that you can occupy the large area of land vacated by the Bristleback.

The script is written, just waiting for the actors to enter the scene.
