Cecilia's footsteps echoed in the hallway of Lount Castle, fast and powerful. Behind her, Reinhard was still silent, but his steps were no longer hesitant. He was probably shocked by what he had just heard. But after the shock had worn off, now there was only anger that arose when Reinhard remembered how his older brother had died because of the plague.
They had just come out of the study, and a familiar figure immediately greeted them.
"Your Highness!"
Robert came with Lucy. Their clothes were wrinkled. Cecilia could even see dried blood stains on Robert's sleeves.
"Are you hurt?" Cecilia asked quickly.
Robert shook his head. "I'm not, Your Highness. The Lount knights tried to stop us from going back in. But I didn't let them touch Lucy as per your orders."
Lucy nodded. "Sir Robert protected me well, Your Highness."
Cecilia took a deep breath. She was relieved that no one was hurt because of her plan.
