Eir took a deep breath, her gaze still lingering on Icarus. The idea of acting on her feelings was terrifying, but the truth was, she hadn't felt anything like this in centuries.
Perhaps Sif was right—perhaps now was the time. Maybe she shouldn't wait for the perfect moment. Maybe this was it.
The night stretched on, and the revelry around the campfire began to wind down.
Most of the Asgardians, having drunk their fill of wine and eaten their weight in roasted meats, had fallen into a state of blissful drunkenness, their laughter and singing tapering off into sleepy murmurs.
The fire flickered low, casting long shadows over the tired faces of the warriors sprawled across the ground.
Even Icarus, usually so composed, looked a bit unsteady on his feet as he staggered slightly, his movements slow and wobbly.
He stretched his arms above his head, yawning deeply, before turning to bid farewell to the few still awake, his speech slightly slurred.
However, just as he began to walk away from the table, a voice rang out behind him.
"Icarus," Eir called softly, her tone holding a hint of urgency. "Could we speak in private?"
Icarus paused, a lazy grin spreading across his face. "Sure." His eyes gleamed with curiosity as he turned back toward her, sensing the shift in the air.
The remaining revelers cast a few curious glances at the two, smelling something suspicious going on between those two.
Without a word, Icarus followed Eir as she led him away from the campfire, stepping into the cool night air.
The quiet of the forest wrapped around them, leaving behind the distant sounds of the drunken celebrations.
They walked a little further, until the campfire's light was but a faint glow behind them.
Once they were far enough, Eir stopped and sat down on a grassy slope, turning to face Icarus. She patted the seat beside her.
As he sat down and lay beside her, staring at the bright starry night sky, she spoke, her voice more serious now. "What are your plans after this? What will you do once your work here is done?"
Icarus tilted his head, considering the question for a moment. "I don't know," he said honestly, his voice still a bit slurred from the wine. "Perhaps, I will return to the mortal world someday. The Midgard realm's Earth… I have no interest in staying on Mount Olympus. It's not where I belong. Of course, they have no interest in letting me stay there, because I'm not an immortal like them."
Eir stayed silent for a moment, her brow furrowing as she processed his words.
After a long pause, she spoke again, her voice soft yet inquisitive. "If you don't like Mt. Olympus, why not choose Asgard then?" she asked, her tone sincere. "Everyone here likes you. You've proven yourself as a warrior. Your strength, your skill—people compare you to the likes of Thor and Baldr. You can have a bright future here."
Icarus raised an eyebrow, leaning in slightly toward her, his lips curling into a teasing grin. "Is that really what you want to talk about in private, dragging me all the way to the place no one is around?" he asked, his voice laced with playful mockery. "I was expecting something a little more... exciting."
Eir blushed slightly at his teasing, her gaze flickering to the ground before she met his eyes again, trying to keep her composure. "What do you mean by that?" she asked, her voice a bit unsure now, though still curious.
Icarus chuckled, his tone was half-serious, half-joking as he leaned closer to her. "I don't know," he slurred, "Maybe, it's because you are beautiful, and it is my last night here. And the fact that you kept on glancing at me at the table earlier. I thought you hated me, though, you have this intense glare. But I just realized you don't. So, maybe… I'm hoping some romantic words that might tempt me..."
Eir's eyes widened in surprise at his words, her heart skipping a beat. She looked away for a moment, feeling heat in her chest, unsure of how to respond to his sudden boldness. He doesn't look anything like the shy boy at the table at all. He knows everything.
"Icarus," she murmured, her voice a little breathless, "you're drunk."
He shrugged nonchalantly, his grin never fading. "So, what if I'm drunk? Does it change anything?"
There was a brief silence between them as Eir stared at him, as she found herself thrown off balance by the young man standing before her. Icarus's charm, his easy confidence, and the spark in his eyes seemed to pull her in, even though she knew she should hold back.
Then, as Sif's words echoed in her head, Eir shut her eyes and muttered. "Forget it… I'll go along with my instincts…"
"Hmm?" Icarus blinked at her, wondering what she was saying. But, before he could ask, Eir looked back at him and rolled around, throwing herself on top of him, and leaning toward the kiss.
*
Under the vast, star-studded sky, the cool night air whispered through the grassy slope.
Icarus, his tall frame glistening with sweat, was behind Eir, the Norse goddess of healing. Both were naked, their bodies pressed together on the soft grass. Icarus's strong hands gripped her hips, his blue eyes focused on the rhythm of his thrusts.
Eir moaned, her head thrown back, her silver hair cascading down her back. "Harder, Icarus," she gasped, her voice a mix of pleasure and demand.
Icarus obliged, his hips moving faster, his thrusts deeper.
"Aah~" "Aah~" "Aah~"
Eir's moans grew louder, her body arching to meet his every thrust.
"Oh, gods," she cried out, her nails digging into the grass. "You feel so good inside me."
Icarus groaned, his hands moving to her mounds, his fingers teasing her peaks. Eir moaned, her body trembling with pleasure. "Icarus," she panted, "don't stop. Please, don't stop."
Icarus's grip tightened, his thrusts becoming more urgent. The stars above seemed to shine brighter, their light illuminating the couple beneath.
Eir's body began to tense, her breaths coming in short, sharp gasps. "Icarus," she moaned, "I'm close. So close."
Icarus's movements became faster, his hips thrusting against hers with a fierce intensity. Eir's moans filled the chilly night air, her body convulsing around him as she reached her climax. "Icarus!" she cried out, her voice echoing through the valley.
Icarus groaned, his own release following hers. He collapsed on top of her, his body shaking with the intensity of his orgasm. They lay like that for a moment, their bodies entwined, their breaths slowly returning to normal.
Eir turned to him, her eyes meeting his. She smiled, her hand reaching up to trace the line of his jaw. "That was... incredible," she murmured.
Icarus smiled back in a mischievous tone, his hand covering hers. "Yes, it was," he agreed. "But the night was far from over."
Icarus suddenly rolled onto his back, pulling Eir with him so that she was straddling his hips. "Kyaaa." She leaned down, her hands braced on his chest, her hair cascading around them like a curtain.
She began to move again, her hips rolling in a slow, sensual rhythm. Icarus groaned, his hands finding her hips, guiding her movements.
Eir leaned down, her lips finding his. "Mmm~" She kissed him deeply, her tongue exploring his mouth. Icarus groaned, his hips thrusting up to meet hers once again.
Eir broke the kiss, her head falling back, her eyes closed. She moaned, her body moving faster, her breaths coming in ragged gasps. "Oh, lord…" "Aah~"
Icarus sat up, his arms wrapping around her. He flipped them over so that he was on top, his body covering hers. He began to move, his hips thrusting against hers. "Aah~" Eir moaned, her legs wrapping around his waist, pulling him deeper into her.
Icarus's movements became faster, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. "Yes" "Yes" "Yes" "faster~" "Aaahh~" Eir's moans grew louder, her body tensing. She was close, so close.
"Icarus," she gasped, "I'm going to— Aaah~"
Her words were cut off by a loud moan as her body convulsed around him. "Ugh…" Icarus groaned, his own release following hers. He collapsed on top of her, his body shaking with the intensity of his orgasm.
They lay like that for a moment, their bodies entwined, their breaths slowly returning to normal.
Icarus rolled off her, pulling her into his arms. They lay there, watching the stars, their bodies slick with sweat, their hearts pounding in sync.
"You really do know how to please a woman, Icarus," Eir said, still heavily panting, his hands were over her shoulders from the back as she lay directly on top of him, staring at the stars. "You are definitely this fruit that just ripened."
Icarus replied calmly. "Well, to be honest, I slept with a few during the past year, some of them were indoors, some were outdoors, one of them was in the water, and one of them was on the top of a volcano, ugh… that was more painful than pleasurable, but I will say this is the best experience so far." Letting out a chuckle, he added, "Asgardian goddesses indeed built differently."
"Well, we are…" Eir chuckled along.
