Chapter 5 - hahaha!!!

Tang Hao, as unbothered and drowsy as ever, had only just woken up thanks to the noise outside—right on time to hear Old Jack's familiar voice echoing through the house.

"Tang Hao, you lazy bum! The sun's scorching your backside and you're only waking up now?!" Old Jack shouted, his cane thumping against the wooden door like a war drum.

From a short distance away, Tang Yin grinned to himself, watching the old man rant at his father with the same fiery energy as always. "Hah… Old Jack might just be the only mortal brave enough to scold a Titled Douluo like that and live."

Inside, Tang Hao groaned, rubbing his eyes. "Why are you yelling so early in the morning?" he muttered, more annoyed than alarmed. With a heavy yawn, he wandered off toward the toilet, for completion of his unfinished business.

Old Jack huffed and adjusted his robe. "Huu… Come on, you two. Let's get to the Wuhun Hall before that Soul Master gets tired of waiting."

With that, the twins—Tang San and Tang Yin—followed the grumbling elder through the village, sunlight spilling across the cobbled path. As they arrived at the Wuhun Hall, they were greeted by a crowd of children around their age, all buzzing nervously as they waited for the Soul Master.

Just in time, Su Yuntao aka "Blind God"—arrived with perfectly timed steps, his robe fluttering dramatically in the wind.

"Greetings, esteemed Soul Master!" Old Jack bowed slightly with exaggerated enthusiasm.

Su Yuntao pretentiously nodded. "Hmm."

Tang Yin watched the interaction, mouth twitching in disbelief. "If only Su Yuntao knew Old Jack treatment to him compared to tang hao, he'd probably brag about it for the rest of his life."

Su Yuntao took the lead and ushered the children inside the so-called Wuhun Hall—which, in reality, was little more than a rundown building with a decently clean interior.

"All right, everyone! I'll now awaken your Martial Souls. Don't be scared when you see my powerful Wolf Martial Soul!" he announced, puffing out his chest with practiced flair. A few kids flinched already.

He then brought out six dark stone pillars, arranging them in a circle, and placed a transparent crystal orb in the center for testing innate soul power.

One by one, the process began.

"Hoe… Martial Soul. Zero innate soul power. Next!"

"Blue Silver Grass… Zero. Next!"

Child after child stepped up, hopes high, only to walk away crestfallen.

Finally, it was Tang San's turn. Su Yuntao raised an eyebrow at the boy's steady demeanor. "Relax your body," he instructed, releasing his soul power into the stones.

A soft glow enveloped Tang San. From his right hand, the familiar Blue Silver Grass appeared, swaying gently. Yet his left hand remained tucked behind his back—hiding the faint shimmer of a second Martial Soul: the Clear Sky Hammer.

Tang Yin, watching silently, smirked to himself. "As expected."

Su Yuntao measured Tang San's innate soul power and froze.

"Ten… Full innate soul power?!" he exclaimed, eyes wide. His heart twisted a little—such talent, wasted on a trash Martial Soul?

Trying to mask his disbelief, he turned to Tang Yin. Could the older twin also be extraordinary?

Tang Yin stepped forward confidently, thoughts racing. Finally… my turn.

Su Yuntao once again activated the stones. Instantly, light flared as Tang Yin's body was bathed in brilliance. In his right hand, a Martial Soul materialized—Blue Silver Grass, but not ordinary.

It was regal.

A rich, deep blue hue pulsed from the vine, crisscrossed with silver vein-like patterns. The leaves were long and teardrop-shaped, each one softly glowing. It radiated a quiet majesty—the aura of a king among plants.

Tang Yin's eyes lit up. He could feel it—his body stretching slightly, his aura blooming with power. He had awakened the blue silver king.

But there was more.

His expression shifted to mild shock as he sensed something… different. Not one, but two more Martial Souls stirred within him—one which he knew about while the other he didn't know.

A powerful mental ripple radiated from his mind. His muscles tensed, bulged slightly, and a force unlike anything native to this world surged within him. He quickly pulled it back, masking his aura with a calm face.

Internally he was excited as he knew that beside three martial soul he has three abilities thatdidn't belong to the world of douluo dalu.

"A tall tree catches the wind," he reminded himself. Best not to show too much… yet.

From the sidelines, Tang San narrowed his eyes. He had expected his brother to awaken Blue Silver Grass too, since they were twins—but there was something… off. Just looking at the blue silver king made him feel the urge to kneel.

"Huh? Blue Silver Grass? Again?" Su Yuntao muttered, clearly disappointed. He reached for the measuring orb. "Let's just check the soul level…"

Tang Yin, unlike his brother Tang San—whose full innate soul power stemmed from the Mysterious Heaven Technique—knew that his own Martial Soul was inherently powerful, a true force of nature. He, too, possessed a full innate soul level. Yet with a sly smile tugging at the corners of his lips, he decided to hold back.

Might as well keep a few cards hidden, he thought.

Casually, he extended his hand to the crystal orb and channeled just a sliver of his soul power. The orb flickered, then glowed steadily—stopping at level 7.

Perfectly ordinary. Perfectly unremarkable. Just the way he wanted it… for now.

(Don't ask how he could control his soul power, You'll find out later)
