Shrey sat at the edge of the mess hall, staring into a half-eaten bowl of rice. Across from him, Arjun stirred his tea absentmindedly while Adi sat perfectly still, his eyes hollow.
The Queen was dead. But the price had been catastrophic.
A suffocating silence gripped the hall, like everyone was afraid to speak too loudly, to break the thin veil of stability that remained.
That's when the double doors slammed open with a bang.

Captain Jacks stormed in, long coat flaring dramatically, combat boots striking the tiles like war drums.

He walked to the center of the room and dropped a pulsing orb onto the table. It rolled slightly before settling, glowing with a low, rhythmic hum — a heartbeat of fire.
It was alive.

His eyes swept the room, locking onto three young faces.

Beneath the main facility lay a forgotten cavern system, once used for mining, now converted into a training ground unlike any other.
As they descended deeper, the heat intensified. The air shimmered. The stone walls pulsed with glowing veins of lava, creating an almost organic, breathing rhythm. Shadows danced across molten rivers that snaked through the earth like ancient arteries.
In the center of the massive chamber stood a being of flame. Humanoid in shape, but headless. Its arms ended in molten blades. It exuded menace.
> Captain Jacks: "The only way to awaken Ignis… is to face yourself."
The trio stared at the construct.
> Captain Jacks: "Your opponent isn't him. It's your fear."
Arjun cracked his knuckles.
> Arjun (grinning): "My fear? Brother, my only fear is an overcooked paratha."
> Shrey: "That explains your burnt toast this morning."
> Mayra (from above on an observation platform): "FOCUS, boys!"
Arjun stepped into the circle. The construct moved. Fast. Lava blades sliced toward him. He dodged the first, blocked the second, but was thrown back by the third.
He coughed, gasping for air. His fists trembled.
Flashes. The Queen. Maya screaming. Yash falling.
Arjun roared, eyes glowing faint red, and slammed his fists into the ground. Fire exploded outward in a wave, engulfing the construct.

Captain Jacks gave a faint nod.
Adi stepped forward next. His eyes narrowed. He didn't speak.
The construct lunged.
Adi sidestepped, danced, moved like a shadow. Precision incarnate.

The construct pivoted. A molten blade caught Adi across the chest. He grunted but didn't fall.

He clenched his fists. Blue flames erupted — colder, sharper, controlled chaos.
He dashed forward, a whip of fire extending from his arm, slicing through the construct.

Now it was Shrey's turn.
He stepped into the ring and sat down.

The young version smiled and faded into flames.

Swarms of black bees danced like a storm around it.

Lightning flashed.
