Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: The Death of Qian Xunji

Did he have a past with the Pope in his youth?

Dugu Bo frowned, pondering for a moment, then turned to Yu Xiaogang: "In that case, you can all get out now."

Tang San and Yu Xiaogang, hearing Dugu Bo's harsh words, felt both anger and humiliation. However, they had to suppress their emotions and not show any sign of it.

As Dugu Bo withdrew his oppressive aura, Tang San and Flender quickly stepped forward to help Yu Xiaogang up: "Teacher, how are you?"

"I'm fine. Let's go, we need to leave this place immediately," Yu Xiaogang said with a grim face, wiping the blood from his head, his voice strained. He then shakily walked towards the courtyard exit.

The others quickly gathered around Yu Xiaogang, forming a protective circle as they slowly made their way back the way they came.

"Members of the Education Committee, I think it's time for me to leave the academy as well," Qin Ming said, his eyes red as he looked at Meng Shenji, seeing the pitiful state of the Shrek Academy group.

"Ah, Xiao Qin, why must you do this?" Meng Shenji was taken aback and sighed softly: "Haven't we, along with the other two committee members, already discussed this with you?"

"You're mistaken. The reason I want to leave isn't because of the Soul Master Competition leadership," Qin Ming shook his head: "If today's incident hadn't happened, I might have indeed waited quietly until the next competition."

"But after Dean Flender and the other teachers were humiliated here today, how can I pretend nothing happened and stay?"

"Xiao Qin, don't be so impulsive. As long as you change your negative attitude, I can assure you that the leadership of the next Soul Master Competition will be yours," Meng Shenji frowned deeply: "And no one has the right to interfere with your decision."

"Haha, Committee Member, my decision is final. There's no need to persuade me further," Qin Ming bowed to Meng Shenji and the other two committee members, then quickly turned and chased after the Shrek Academy group.

Watching Qin Ming leave, Meng Shenji and the others felt regret but did not try to stop him again.

Although Qin Ming had shown some improvement in the past two years, it couldn't make up for his negative attitude towards children's education in previous years.

As they had originally thought, Qin Ming should have taken a break to change his mindset. Who knew that despite his poor condition, he insisted on controlling the team's training? Otherwise, such an incident wouldn't have occurred.

Li Xun didn't feel much about Qin Ming's departure.

Even if things followed the original timeline, this person would still kneel and follow Shrek Academy. Why should he have too much involvement with him?

Not to mention, now he's just like the future Xuan Lao, occupying a position without contributing. At least Xuan Lao has real skills, what does Qin Ming have?

Not sparing Qin Ming another glance, Li Xun, amidst the crowd where some words couldn't be spoken directly, chatted idly with Dugu Bo.

Prince Xue Xing, seeing the familiar interaction between Li Xun and Dugu Bo, flashed a look in his eyes but said nothing more, turning to leave. Xue Beng wanted to say something but was stopped by a glance from Prince Xue Xing.

Although he had saved Dugu Bo, the latter was after all a Title Douluo. He had the ability and strength to interact with people according to his preferences.

If he made any annoying moves, it might damage the already fragile relationship between them.

Now, not only could he not interfere between Li Xun and Dugu Bo, but he also had to carefully maintain the relationship between the two sides, using it as a final bargaining chip.

"If there's nothing else, we old folks will take our leave," Meng Shenji stroked his beard, smiling warmly at Li Xun.

He found himself growing fonder of Li Xun the more he looked at him.

When Yu Tianheng left the Heavenly Dou Royal Academy, both he and Zhi Lin had felt a sense of regret. However, as time passed and Li Xun grew stronger, that regret gradually turned into pleasant surprise.

This surprise reached its peak when Li Xun returned from Suotuo City with Zhu Zhuqing.

The Heavenly Dou Royal Academy hadn't made a significant impact on the continent for many years, and Meng Shenji felt that this time, their academy would surely make a splash in the upcoming Soul Master Competition.

"Alright, Grandpa Meng, you three go ahead and take care of your business," Li Xun smiled at Meng Shenji and the other two.

The three academy leaders had been quite indulgent towards him, even granting him the leadership authority over Qin Ming at his request. He appreciated such leadership.

"Xiao Xun, are Yu Xiaogang and Pope Bibidong really old acquaintances?" Dugu Bo followed Li Xun towards the dormitory after the others had disappeared from view.

"Yes, and their relationship is far from ordinary," Li Xun nodded. "Don't judge Yu Xiaogang by his appearance. If something were to happen, who knows what our current Pope might do."

"Such a close relationship?" Dugu Bo was momentarily stunned, then quickly understood. He hadn't expected someone like Bibidong to take an interest in such a seemingly useless person. "What if Bibidong finds out that Yu Xiaogang's disciple is Tang Hao's son? Would she really give up her quest for revenge for his sake?"

"Grandpa Dugu, have you ever felt that despite Qian Xunji, the former Pope, being killed by Tang Hao, the Spirit Hall's desire for revenge hasn't been as strong as one might expect?"

Li Xun shook his head with a smile at this question. In fact, anyone who truly believed that Bibidong and Qiandao Liu hated Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect would be sorely mistaken, and rather foolish at that.

Because Qian Xunji was actually killed by Bibidong, and Qiandao Liu knew this as well.

Otherwise, with Tang Hao's newly attained Title Douluo strength, he would never have been able to escape from Qiandao Liu, a Limit Douluo. This wasn't just letting him off easy; it was practically letting him off the hook.

The reason they pinned the blame on Tang Hao was merely to find an excuse.

Dugu Bo frowned. If one really thought about it, there were indeed many inconsistencies in this matter.

If a father's only son was killed, merely forcing the Clear Sky Sect into seclusion would indeed seem like an anticlimactic resolution.

If it were him, by now, aside from a few individuals, not even an ant would be left alive in the Clear Sky Sect. Let alone someone like Qiandao Liu, a peerless powerhouse; to say that he feared Tang Hao was something Dugu Bo couldn't believe.

"If the Clear Sky Sect isn't the Spirit Hall's true enemy, won't our plans be affected?" Dugu Bo pondered for a while, then asked with some concern.

"There will be an impact, but not a significant one. It's just not the right time yet."

Li Xun organized the contents of his memory: "Currently, the Spirit Hall hasn't shown any ambition to unify the continent, but when the time is ripe, whether the Clear Sky Sect has a feud with the Spirit Hall or not will become irrelevant."

"What we need to do now is to set up Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect as targets for the Spirit Hall, to mask our true intentions."

"But didn't you say that Qiandao Liu and Bibidong's desire for revenge isn't very strong?" Dugu Bo asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Those two indeed aren't focused on revenge, but we still have Qian Renxue, don't we? Do you think she, as a daughter, would want to avenge her father?"

"If she doesn't know the true murderer of her father, I suppose she would?" Dugu Bo replied uncertainly.

"What do you think she would do if she later found out the true murderer of her father?"
