After almost a week in the hospital, I'm finally discharged. My uncle already signed the papers and paid for everything, and the only person helping me pack is Harmony. We're not that close, but we're friends I mean unlike to others I only met harmony like a year ago we became friends when she started dating Jad. Compared to Reina and Micah, the two of us—let's just say—we're not exactly tight. We talk and share things, but only when others are around. We've never really had one of those "deep talks."
"I'm glad you're okay, Mary. I'm really, totally sorry I wasn't here when you woke up," she said softly. Harmony is a gentle girl with a very soft voice. I was honestly shocked when someone like her liked my cousin. Not to say anything bad about Jad, but he's not exactly a top student—he's never even been part of the achievers. But ever since they got together, he improved a lot.
"It's fine. Don't worry about it," I said with a smile, and we continued packing.
"Harmony, do you know anyone named RJ from school?" I asked suddenly, curious about the guy I saw backstage.
"RJ who?"
"I don't know his last name though but…ugh never mind."
"Wait—is this the same guy who visits you while you're still unconscious?"
"Did he visits often?"
"Well during your 3 days he visited like twice, still bringing that drink"
"Well... I just wanted to know if you knew him, just wanted to say thank you at least"
"Well you two must've become close from the backstage"
"How did you know that?" I asked, even though deep down, I already knew.
"Well… you know Jad. He told me last time."
I knew it.
"Yeah, really. But anyway, speaking of Jad—where is he? Where's that cousin of mine"
"His dad made him look into whatever happened to you. Micah volunteered to help too. As for Reina, if you're wondering—I don't know where she is. When I asked, she just laughed at me didn't even bothered answering. But I'm really curious… what did happen?"
"Believe me harmony. The only thing I remembered from that day is the time I woke up and realize I wasn't at my room I don't know how did I arrive there, I thought I'm dreaming but surely I'm not the part where I uses magior I don't remember that happened to me it was like a bubbles and immediately... Believe me Harmony" she held my hand and comforting me
After a while of talking.
"By the way you mentioned Reina is something, what's up with Reina lately? She's always busy and distant... Was she okay, Harmony?"
"I guess so she seemed fine when I ran into her on my way here."I looked down. I was just curious. Reina felt so distant lately—or maybe it's just me.
"You ready to go, Mary?" she asked again.
"Yeah, sure. Let's go."We had two bags. She carried one, and I took the other. As we walked outside, I noticed a car waving us down. I looked at Harmony, and she nodded. It was our ride.
"By the way, Mary—we're not going straight to your house. Jad messaged me and said we need to go straight to his 'hideout.' He wants us to do something there."
"His hideout? You mean the one in the forest?"Jad has a place he always goes to whenever he and Uncle fight.
"Yeah, that one. I hope they've found something about the source of your magior."I nodded with a faint smile.
"I really hope so."
