Chapter 8 - 08. Mirella's Fulfillment

Teddy then turned to the other thugs and said, "Still want to hurt me?"

Everyone that was left from the mob of thugs shook their heads. They kept repeating things like "No way" or "not a chance" while others apologized repeatedly.

Teddy was satisfied. He waved his hand in a dismissal fashion and walked out of the abandoned warehouse.

Next, Teddy's phone began to ring. When he looked who was calling, Teddy flinched. It was his mother.

"Hi mom."

Teddy tried to sound calm however his mother wasn't buying it.

"What happened? Where are you? Are you ok?"

Teddy hurriedly said, "Calm down mom. I'm ok. I'm still putting in applications."

Teddy's mother, Jeanette didn't sound convinced in the slightest bit.

She said, "Right. You not at the shopping center where I left you."

Teddy thought quickly and replied, "I went for a walk real quick. I'll be back in a minute. Then I was going to put a couple more applications in."

Teddy mother then said, "Ok Teddy. I'll see you in a minute then. Love you."

With that Jeanette hung up. Teddy knew he couldn't walk normally back. He had to use his cultivation to move quickly back.

Within thirty seconds Teddy was right outside the entrance to the shopping center. As soon as he walked in his mother saw him.

With the look on her face it appears he has successfully convicted her. He felt a pain in his heart that he just lied to his mother.

However he couldn't tell her the truth either. So he comforted himself in the knowledge that he didn't have a choice. Whether that was true or not he figured it didn't matter now.

Next he had to finish his tasks as he promised his mother. After putting in three applications, he went home with his mother.

That night, while Teddy was asleep in bed, a figure quickly appeared in his room. It was Mirella.

Teddy whispered, "What are you doing?"

Mirella flirtatiously look at him before responding.

"Silly man. I'm here to complete the arrangement. Without this last part it doesn't take effect. Or did you already forget?"

Teddy's face turned beat red. I took him a second or two to respond.

"I didn't forget. However my parents are right down the hall. Wouldn't they hear us?"

Mirella seem to have anticipated this. She pulled out a sphere shaped object. It shined almost like a crystal.

She stretched out her hand and the object floated up. It then went to the center of the room and hovered there.

After about a second, an energy wave spread out from the object. This energy wave field every corner of the room.

"This is a sound suppressing orb. It is made of a special crystal found only in the caves of Antarctica. Very few people travel there for this crystal making it very precious. The crystal is extremely powerful and once refined into a magic object, you have a very powerful treasure."

Mirella let this sink in before yelling at the top of her lungs.

"See no one can hear us. So don't worry. Also I'll make sure I'm gone before your parents are up."

He thought it silly that a grown man will be worried about his parents. But when she thought about it, kind of did make sense.

I mean after all his childhood was stripped from him. And at the same time he never got a chance to truly grow up as adults do. So of course he'd be worried about things like this.

Mirella slowly undressed. She stood there completely naked with a lustful look on her face. Teddy's face got beat red and he became very nervous.

"By the looks of things you never seen a naked woman before."

She slid into the covers with Teddy. The two entangled themselves for several hours. She taught him how to duel cultivate. And their cultivation rose together slightly.

When he woke up, his room didn't even smell like a woman. Mirella was very good at covering her tracks.

Teddy's mother knocked on the door of his room and said, "Teddy, make sure you're dressed and come on down for breakfast."

When he heard his mother knocking on the door, his heart skipped a beat. He thought his mother had known something, but apparently she was just calling him down for breakfast.

Teddy breathed a huge sigh of relief.

He said, "Sure thing mom. I'll be down in a few minutes."

He hurriedly got dressed and went down for breakfast. He was obviously distracted about last night. His parents could see his distraction but thought it was something small.

Teddy's father said, "Theodore, today I expect you to place at least eight applications. Once you get your own job, I want you to start looking for an apartment. I'm not going to rush you but a man needs his own place."

Teddy's father always refused to call him Teddy. He was always a straightforward man and thought that someone should be called by their name not a nickname or abbreviated me.

Jeanette said, "Rodger!"

Teddy's father turned to his mother.

"What is a Jeanette? You know I'm telling the truth. A man needs to be able to stand on his own or else he will not have any pride. He will be crushed and one thing we need to instill back in Theodore is his pride."

Jeanette knew Roger was correct. But it didn't make it any easier for the woman. She just got her son back and did not want to let him go again.

"But he has been through so much Roger. We can't push him too far too fast."

Rodger stared at her dumbfoundly and said, "I disagree. What he needs now is a purpose. A reason to continue on. He's been gone for so long and he's been through so much he needs his pride back."

Teddy couldn't believe his ears. His mother and father were fighting over what was best for him. They didn't even think to ask Teddy what he wanted.

This back and forth went on for a few more minutes before Teddy decided he had enough and he had at his two cents.

"Mom, dad, I know you both want what's best for me. Can you at least trust me to make my own decisions? I may have lost my childhood but, that still does not make me a child at heart. I am still a grown man in the end. I will respect you too but I need to make my own choices."

Both Roger and Jeanette were proud to hear this from Teddy. Their little boy truly has grown up.

Roger responded, "Of course son. It looks like you got part of your pride back already and you have a backbone to boot."

Jeanette smiled and said, "You'll always make us proud son. We will let you make your decisions but you do still need to work hard at finding a job. If you can promise that then we promise to stay out of your business."

Roger nodded as Jeanette finished her statement.

Teddy was happy at this time of events. In just one statement he was able to keep his parents from budding into his private life.

Who wouldn't want their privacy and Teddy was no different. And if he was able to maintain his privacy he could cultivate. He may even be able to see Mirella again.

He was truly taken by her. She was one beautiful woman and had a naughty streak that kind of made his blood rush.

The family had a small television in the room. The news was turned on but the volume was off. Instead they had closed captions on. This way the TV won't interrupt any conversation that they had.

Suddenly his dad saw something on the news station and decided to turn the volume up.

"Last night and abandoned warehouse down by the docks was burnt to the ground. Inside was several bodies. We are still identifying the bodies but it appears that they might be members of the underground. We will keep you informed as the situation develops. It is still unclear what happened to the individuals and what started the fire. However, law enforcement is certain that the bodies were dead before the fire started."

The news report continued on for a little bit more but the gist of it was understood. Teddy's parents mouths for wide open.

Though Teddy faint shock he was very suspicious of what happened. He was going to have to talk to those two women next time he saw them. He was certain this was their doing.

He had promised us men that he would let them go. And his word is his bond. So he had to make sure that these women understood this.

Cultivators or not, no one is above the law.

Teddy and his parents finished their breakfast and Teddy's mother drove him to put in some more job applications.
