Chapter 3 : Tharot -The Monarch of Death and Time
"I am Throat ," it spoke—not with a voice, but with presence. The words crashed like thunder within the soul, etching themselves into the marrow of existence.
Before it stood a lone figure(Nafees), dwarfed, trembling, yet drawn forward by something deeper than fear—fate.
Nafees stared upward, into the abyssal visage of the bound god, where a thousand galaxies churned like trapped smoke behind that impassive mask.
The being's eyes were not eyes, but voids of infinite depth, reflecting every sin, sorrow, and secret of the soul.
Tharot was not darkness. He was the origin of it. The primal stillness before light was born. The prisoner, the judge, the devourer of silence.
**"Oh boy who bears my curse—Thanatos—I have chosen you. Form a contract with me…It will help you in your journey… before you awaken that."**
Nafees stared at the mysterious figure before him, eyes wide with confusion.
'What is this thing talking about? And where am I? Shouldn't I be dead… or am I already?'
His thoughts swirled like a storm, each question echoing louder than the last. Before he could find any clarity, the being spoke again.
**"You're in my space. I was the one who placed the curse of Thanatos upon you. It was the only way to pull you through the cracks between life and death."**
"You cursed me? Why? And what even are you?"
**"I am the Monarch of Death and Time. My name is Tharot. In your past life, you were—"**
Tharot stopped abruptly, his voice trailing off.
"_"
Nafees froze, a sudden realization creeping into his mind. Was he about to say… rebirth?
At those words, Nafees raised his eyebrows in disbelief.
"So you're saying—"
Before he could finish, the being—Tharot—cut him off sharply.
**"We don't have time. Let me give you a brief summary of the place I'm about to send you."**
The being placed his hand gently on Nafees' head.
A sudden rush of energy surged through him.
Swish—
The world around him dissolved into light.
And then… he saw.
The beginning.
***
The beginning, there was only one—an omnipotent entity known as the "Absolute Being".
Upon the throne of eternity sat the "Absolute Being" —cloaked in white, crowned in celestial thorns, and armored in divine judgment. His gaze pierced through reality, his silence louder than thunder. Time bowed, gods trembled. He did not rule the world.
He defined it.
He existed alone in the vast void, where not even time dared to flow. The silence, eternal and unbroken, weighed heavily upon him. From this loneliness, a yearning was born.
To fill the emptiness, he began to create.
First came the stars, then the planets, and gradually, he sculpted what would become known as the solar System. Among these celestial creations, he formed a small, blue world—Earth.
___
Eons passed in quiet observation, until one day, he noticed a flicker of motion—a primitive form of life. It stirred something within him. Joy.
50,000 years later,a new being emerged. It walked upright, bearing a shape reminiscent of the creator himself. Humanoid.
Another hundred thousand years passed, and from the lineage of these beings, a new race arose—humans.
After 150,000 years, Earth thrived with diverse beings—elves, demons, angels, dwarves, dragons, beastmen—all moving to the unseen rhythm of the Absolute Being's will.
They lived in peace and harmony in a single Continent.
___
He bestowed half of his divine power upon all the inhabitants of Earth, allowing magic to awaken within them—a sacred gift shared with every living being.
However, by breaking the universal law, his act triggered a powerful backlash.
To restore balance, the Absolute Being used the remaining half of his divine power to seal off the original continent. In its place, seven new continents emerged—Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, and Atlantica
***
**"In short, the original continent is still sealed away from your world—a land so vast, it rivals the size of all seven continents combined.
The seal is absolute; no one can cross between realms, no soul can enter or leave. But by deceiving the Heavenly Principle itself, and using Thanatos as the key... I've brought you to that forbidden continent here."**
Thorat's voice echoed in the stillness.
"Now, I am sending you to the original continent—the Primordial Continent where you belong."
Nafees stood frozen, his mind reeling from the tale he had just heard. His eyes trembled, his thoughts spiraling in confusion.
Tremble… tremble…
-Whaat..whaa..why..?
'So... he brought me to that forbidden land—sealed away by the Absolute Being himself. A continent cut off from the world, untouchable, unreachable... until now. Isn't that like anothef dimension'
Before he could process it all, a surge of dark energy enveloped him, pulling him into the unknown.
The world blurred.
Darkness. Light. A new beginning.
And then—everything went silent.
Nafees felt his consciousness flicker, like a flame fighting against the wind. His body went limp, and the overwhelming darkness consumed him .
Glub... glurg... blrrgh...
Suddenly he felt like he was drowning in that darkness.
-splash, thrash, churn
He splashed violently, limbs thrashing against the pull of the abyss.
The black water wasn't liquid—it was despair. It seeped into his lungs, into his thoughts, until there was nothing left but the crushing silence.
He wasn't sinking into the sea.
He was sinking into oblivion.
