Chapter 16 - Threatened

Gaara was in his private room that morning before going to see Naruto. He was willing to have him next to him in his bed. He knew that he was not married to Sasuke so he would marry him. He entered that room where only his son was authorized to enter. He sat down to eat breakfast next to Shinki who entered at that moment.

They both had to prepare to go with their blond lovers. Gaara had a somber expression, which aroused the embarrassment in Shinki who said it:

"Is something wrong father? That expression reminded Shinki of when he was still hard and cold.

"Why? Do I look weird? "More than rare, I would say different. I plan to take Naruto to my room. he said suddenly. I'm going to make him my husband.

"What? Shinki was really shocked.

Are you serious?

Totally son, I love Naruto intensely and I'm tired of being away from him. Will you support me right Shinki?

"Father you can't be serious...I mean...Naruto already has a partner. "He's not married. "What does it matter that he's not married father. Naruto already chose and he didn't go to you. He loves Sasuke."

Gaara felt an intense fury emanate from within his being.

Shinki not only wouldn't support him, but also didn't look favorably on his intentions.

"Naruto should give me a chance Shinki, what's wrong with loving? You yourself told me that it wasn't unreasonable to think of uniting my life with someone who loves me...

"Exactly father, someone who loves you. Naruto doesn't love you, but Sasuke. Besides, they're already together and... do you really think Sasuke will let you do it?

I'll send Sasuke away if he refuses I'll have him arrested for contempt of authority.

You can't be serious father.

"You have to support me Shinki, just as I support you in your interest in Boruto... his son.

"I'm sorry father but... I can't support you in this madness. No.

"In that case you're no use to me anymore...Shinki.

"What? That amazed Shinki to the point of believing that he had misheard. I look at him hoping to confirm his mistake, but Gaara confirmed what he said.

"Shinki if you're not going to support me in this, I don't need to have you here by my side anymore. It's not worth it for you to continue being a Royal Sorcerer either.

"What does that mean father?

"That I am not your father, and that you will return to the place where I found you. After all, you do not carry my blood, Shinki.

The true heir to the throne is my nephew Shikadai, not you.

"He does carry my blood.

Really?

You thought you could tell me and do whatever you want without consequences?"

Shinki really didn't expect that reaction from his father. He stared at him in astonishment speechless.

"Are you...s-seriously speaking... f-father?

Absolutely seriously Shinki. Gaara's obsession with Naruto blinded him, to the point of hurting Shinki, whom he loved with all his soul. Tears wet Shinki's face.

Suddenly, various images of him when he lived on the street invaded his mind. He was six years old when Gaara had found him that night in the street, it was snowing and he was half naked crying.

He remembered that he was very, very scared. For that reason he did not like to leave the castle. He squeezed his eyes shut as he began to tremble slightly. But he used his will and he held back. He couldn't be so vulnerable in front of the one who had just thrown him out on the street. To that place that caused him so much fear.

"You know what... that place provokes me... me... me... father... You should think things through then Shinki. he told him as he calmly ate his breakfast.

"Are you serious? Will you take everything away from me, just because I don't agree with your crushing Naruto? Suddenly everything I did, how I worked hard just to make you feel proud of me... all that... it's not important to you ?

"No, it's not. Gaara knew that he was going too far, that he was hurting Shinki like no one had ever hurt him before. And it really hurt, but his desire to have Naruto in his bed blinded him." .

"Dad... why are you doing this to me? He held on tightly to the armrest of the chair where he was.

"Look Shinki, your duty and obligation is and always will be to support me in every decision I make. It doesn't matter if it's ethically correct or not. That's none of your business.

"I understand father." Shinki looked down, he didn't dare to meet his eyes anymore.

"I will give you one more chance, did you hear Shinki? He nodded his head silently. If you again object to questioning any decision, believing you to be my biological son... I will return you to the streets, exactly to the place where I found you when only I was six years old. "Your Majesty will not happen again. Excuse my boldness. Shinki...I hope so. Then they both left, Gaara heading to Naruto's room and a desolate Shinki to Boruto. He would start with the training. When Boruto saw him he smiled at him but Shinki didn't notice it. He simply asked her to follow him. They went to the gym where they met Sasuke and so between the two they trained Boruto for several hours.

Shinki wanted to tell Sasuke about what his father was planning to do with Naruto, but at the same time he knew that it would be the end of himself. So he chose to keep quiet.

After hours, they reach the end of the training. Sasuke quickly went to his bedroom, as he was worried about Naruto.

When they were alone, Boruto told Shinki that Mitsuki had just left the academy. He was officially a royal sorcerer. The blond smiled happily and Shinki smiled sadly.

He felt that Mitsuki was the one who really deserved to be Boruto's teacher and not someone like him who would surely end up on the street very soon.

"Prince, is something wrong? Ever since I saw you today you were...strange.

Don't call me Prince, I'm not.

Call me Shinki

"You are a prince...Shinki.

No...I'm not Boruto. Won't you call me angel anymore? Shinki felt that he was going to explode inside. He truly loved Boruto, only he no longer felt worthy of his love.

"No, you don't like it. And... I think you should see Mitsuki. Today is a very important day for him.

"Shinki. The blonde held him looking carefully. What's wrong?" They looked at each other for a few moments but when he wanted to answer, Mitsuki's voice interrupted him. He had gone to see Boruto to tell him the good news.

Congratulations Mitsuki, you deserve it. Shinki said as Boruto threw himself into his arms happily.

"Brother, I'm happy for you.

"Mitsuki, now you are a real sorcerer, I think you are the most suitable to train Boruto.

"Are you serious Shinki?" Mitsuki asked.

"Of course my friend. Mitsuki looked at him carefully, Shinki was pale and looked sad. He also called him "friend".

Shinki. Boruto wanted to tell him something but he interrupted him. "You'll be fine Boruto. I must go. Then he left without hearing it, he felt so devastated that he just wanted to cry. But he knew that he would accomplish nothing by crying.

When he entered the interior of the castle, Gaara sent for him. Sighing deeply he went to the room where he was allowed to enter. Gaara was sitting on his couch, and for a moment he saw in his face the adoring father he used to be.

But he didn't let that fool him. Gaara was as gentle and sweet as ever. He seemed to be another person, he didn't say anything he didn't seem to remember about his claim towards Naruto.

"I decided to release Sasuke from Boruto's training, since Naruto needs him much more than his son.

"Do you think I did wrong or right son? Ultimately he was someone else, and this Gaara was the one he really wanted and needed. But he didn't know when the other could emerge, or if that was a farce to prove it.

"That does not matter majesty, what you decide I will support. Do you want something else? Gaara looked at him excessively confused. "Shinki, what's wrong? Why do you talk to me like that? Why do you call me Your Majesty? I'm your father.

"Sorry...father... Gaara knew that he was responsible for his son's attitude, and he hated himself for it. He hugged him tightly as he told him: "Whatever I did to you...I'm sorry, son. I'm so sorry. Please...forgive me Shinki.

Shinki hugged his father and cried bitterly.

"Just tell me that... that... that you will not return me to the place where you found me father.

My god son, I would never do such a thing. You are my boy. Shinki relaxed a bit, because he didn't feel as safe as he used to. Insecurity and fear began to invade her soul and his mind once again. Like when he was six years old.
