By now, Calhoun had already deployed his men to look for Kelly. He could not imagine what could go down in case Tristan captured her. Everyone in the underworld knew that his sister,Kelly, was his soft spot.
Why wouldn'tKelly listen? He had always warned her time and again to walk with bodyguards but then what did she do? she just served herself on a golden plata to Tristan.
'Any feed?' Calhoun asked through his ear piece.
'No boss' the person on the other end replied, inhaling a deep shaky breath.
Calhoun put on his blazer and got his car keys to go and find her on his own. He could not wait and just sit around while his sister is missing.
He had his moles in the Ryphens_Tristan's gang but all feeds said that she ain't there. He knew Kelly could be wild at times but didn't think she could go off by herself like that. However, the thought that she could protect herself comforted him for a while, but alas it was not enough_he needed assurance which he only got when she was under his wing.
...…
That night, the guy who had saved Kelly received a phone call_it was from one of his contractors.
'X, I need you to do some work for me.' a man's voice from the other end spoke. The guy worked under the code name X and he did not have to disclose his identity in this line of work because enemies could be everywhere.
'What's the catch' X asked.
'Five hundred thousands US dollars'
'3am...…deal then'
'Who were you talking to?' Kelly asked.
'Fuck! You just scared the spirit out of me. Why did you sneak up on like that?' he was still trying to calm himself
'Well if whatever you are doing isn't wrong then why the hell did you freak out.'
'Because you sneaked up on me.'
'You do not look honest to me' Kelly started all of a sudden.
'What do you mean?'
'Who are you?' Kelly couldn't believe she had spent God knows how long with a total stranger. 'I can't believe until now I didn't know your identify.' she added.
'You never asked so I only assumed it wasn't important.' he brushed it off.
'I'm now asking; who are you?'
'Call me Treu' came his reply.
'Treu...???'
'Just Treu. Oh and in leaving this place, think I've helped you enough.
