However, a chance encounter with the mad scientist named Dr Gero, who was looking for material for his experiments, resulted in the twins being transformed into android but 'Lazuli ' did not survived .
Lapis fitted with cybernetic enhancements, which granted Lapis unique abilities and a form of immortality.
